which region your watch is ?
I am in the US . I have an old galaxy note3 which shows all the apps but the iOS gear app with my same Samsung account doesn't show anything. I don't think any region specific problem. The iOS app just doesn't have the apps

I am trying desperately to find a way to get spotify back on my watch but still being paired with my iPhone . I have the LTE frontier and a premium spotify account.
Similar issue, lost Here WeGo app.

Hi, I am having a similar issue on iOS version of the application. I had been using the Beta version and with that I did have the Here WeGo app. After moving to the officially released iOS version of Gear Manager yesterday, Here WeGo is no longer listed in the apps. Seems strange. As far as Spotify and Uber are concerned, I believe you need access to the Galaxy App Store to get these and anything that may require payment. A bit disappointing that iOS devices do not seem to have the ability to access the entire suite of apps. I am willing to purchase apps but does not seem possible. That really limits the potential of this cool smartwatch.
So you do have spotify via the iOS app?

Hi,
I got my gear 2 this morning and was looking to use it with my Sony Z. I found this app in the market ' Gear 2 Superfix ' . After installing the app it connected perfectly. Nearly everything works apart for weather and a couple more things.
There is an update for the gear manager (2.14041404) but am unable to install that yet.
Also in my gear manager i dont have Samsung Apps iether.
Anyway on the whole im happy it works on my not rooted sony z.
I'd be pleased to here from anyone who als uses this app. It cost 7 euros.

I think he means GEAR 2 SUPERFIXER (air.creatix.neoguide in Google Play Store), created by CREATIX DIGITAL.
It's currently listed at $8.99.
Description
Connect your gear 2, gear 2 neo or galaxy gear with any android device*
This app will help you with most connection issues of your samsung galaxy gear, gear 2 and gear 2 neo.
Also check "Fit SuperFixer" for samsung gear fit.
Simply use the Fix button and you will get simple patches and instructions on how to fix your connection, the app detecs your phone model and checks for compatibility, some device may not be supported, but most of them work flawlessly. Cyanogen Mod Roms are likely to fail but some users reported it as working fine.
*Tested devices:
All variants of the M8
All variants of the M7
Nexus 4
Nexus 5
Nexus 7
Xperia Z Ultra
Xperia SP
Moto X
What works:
Notifications
Clocks
Find my Device
Heart Rate
Reject Calls
Media Controls
Watchface customizer
Pretty much everything
What doesn’t work yet:
No Weather
No music controller
No WatchOn
No SVoice
No Schedule
Pretty much anything that uses a Samsung Account or Samsung Services (this will be fixed in the next release)

It's promising to know that there are options if I choose not to get a Samsung phone down the line.
Real advantages?
If anyone played with this app, could you, please, post if this app has any real advantages over the free methods, specifically in the following areas that have not been working otherwise:
Weather
SMS, Email and Phone Call history browsing (I'm not talking about notifications, I'm talking about browsing previous text messages, emails and phone call history, please, be specific about it)
SMS and Email composition using S Voice
Receiving phone alarms on the watch
Fitness apps requiring GPS support (biking and hiking)
Also, the screenshot included with the app on Google Play suggests it has a way of rooting the Gear 2 (not the original Gear!) watch. Is it really the case?
I can't make it work with Samsung Note 8.0

I bought it and installed on Note 8.0 GT-N5100, I am able to establish the Bluetooth connection with Gear 2, I can sync the Address book and call out form Gear 2.
But in the Gear Manager, it only shown paired and I can't connect it. so I can't do or configure anything.
No need to purchase this app for the Note 8.0. The Note 8.0 with KK is fully compatible with Gear 2 (you just need to sideload Gear Manager). The only thing that does not work is the gear samsung app store access, but superfixer does nit fix that either...

Decided to take one for the team and test it. It seems to just have you download a slightly different version of Samsung's Gear Manager. But when I go to pair the device with it on my Galaxy S4 it just stalls out at connecting. (it could possibly be working idk) I will post screen shots of the software and what has you download. It might simply be my cyanogen 10.2.1 preventing it from working. Upgrading to cyanogen 11 to test.

On my former phone the HTC one X I could use it with a rom.
The thl 5000 has android 4.4.2 and bluetooth 4.0 so why can I not use the gear.

@un2666: THANK YOU!!!
It works well on iPhone SE with some more features than the beta
Johnny,
What steps did you take? Also what firmware do you have on your watch? Maybe I'm missing a step?
1) First: kill your gear in the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone !!! The step is often omitted - but MUST be.
2) Than: factory reset the gear
3) start the GearManager
That's it
Super Thanks!!
Super Thanks to un2666!
Now the Gear S2 is working with iphone 7+ !
I followed these steps:
- D/L beta Gear Manager from top post
- Connect iPhone to computer
- Double-click beta file(*.ipa) which launches iTunes
- Sync iPhone
- Choose App ("Gear S3") and install on iPhone
- Go to iphone settings > general > device management and trust the Samsung certificate
- Factory reset Gear S2
- On Bluetooth
- Pair Gear S2 inside iPhone beta Gear Manager app
- THAT'S IT!!
Most Functions work - including downloading of free watch faces... but app is buggy - can't return to main page after entering Galaxy apps page. Have to kill app and reload.
Bliss
Paid software or surface can not be used, but has been very grateful
Can i use that with my "gear S "?

So it looks like even when Samsung releases iOS Gear Manager app, then user won't be able to fully interact with notifications...and Android is our best bet for the Gear S2.
Everything seems to work fine except Weather app which still forgets "Current location" option. The same issue was in official beta app released in September.
iOS 10.1.1 can't pair with ip7+.
Who can pair it whit ip7+ (10.1.1)?
I try connect, bluetooth is ok but app Gear manger can't pair iphone

I've uploaded the SamsungGearApp.apk
I got it started on my MediaPadX2, GearS3 is shown by Bluetooth, but app force close, when watch set up

.
Uber app will not work on our devices at the moment as the companion app only populates with a Samsung device (my guess based on the lack of issues downloading it on my Note 5/S7E/Note 7 when paired with my Gear S2 Classic 3G). The widget looks mighty nice and handy on my S3, but with the V20 no companion app yet :/
Not sure if sideloading is possible for it to work. Read a thread where someone stated they did sideload and still no go. Personally, I couldn't even find it to try sideloading and test it so that's where I'm for now as well
Now I understand...
I noticed "uber" as a spelling mistake
So my last post is misplaced
Can someone with a Samsung device post the apk for the companion app

After installing the official Gear Manager for Ios (Iphone), I had to resett my Gear.
Of course all previous apps were deleted. One was HERE WeGo.
After reinstaling all apps I could not find the app HERE WeGo any longer.
Is it out of the store or only as a paid version?

I have the same problem with many apps , i think there is 2 possibility first it's maybe because of iPhone version of gear app and the second one it is maybe depend on region of your watch
but before ios paring, do you paired your watch with Samsung or android device ?
Same issue.

Same exact issue here. Did a reset on the Gear s3 in order to switch from Beta to the officially supported iOS app. After that Here WeGo was gone and not available on the app store any longer.
If I find any solution/answer I will post it here.

If you try to install most apps on android, they will show up in your iOS device under "My Apps"->"All" and you can install them from there. However, it doesn't work with all apps. And some that install (including navigator) won't work, because they need a companion app on the phone.
I like Here Wego but although I can get the US version off Play, I can only get the European version from Gear.

Yes you need Samsung phone to be able to download it. What worked for me was to pair with a Samsung phone download Here Wego take backup of watch and pair up again with my Nexus 6p and do a restore. Now you can find Here Wego from my apps in the app store.
Hi all.
I have been using the P40pro for a while now and have used App gallery and Petal search. I am just wondering if anyone has found any better ways to get apps on the device maybe something that auto updates apps as manually isn't that bad. But it is not just overly convenient.

If they where downloaded from App gallery they will auto update or you can set to manual if you prefer. With petal it is a manual job but realistically this allows you to check what the update is actually for an if you want to do it or wait for the next one, so there is a plus side to this.

PhoneClone as a starting point - but I make sure to replace with version from AppGallery if possible (Snapchat + Tinder for example)
AppGallery
PetalSearch
Aptoide
APK Sites which don't appear on Petal
Direct from sites (Facebook and Vanced (Vanced.App) for example)
That's pretty much it unless you're going to get Play Store installed and working.
