Stuck somewhere... Mate 8 Internal Storage was eaten... - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hy guys. After reading whole forum on Mate 8 and did what I could I am out of options what to do more. Its been 4 hours trying to do something with my phone but I just came to the end.
I bought Mate 8 the Chinese one and want it to have L29.
I Unlocked it with DC, putted twr and even puted some ROM to change the chinese one. Works more less ( no camera ) but what I have big problem is that I lost Internal Storage. From 64 Gb I have now just 3 Gb, the rest says full.
I tried in TWRP wipe but not working , format not working, ... Looks like its encripted the internal storage but I just cant figure out how to resolve the problem.
I would like to either to flash back original version (which not sure which it was) or to decript and put some normal working ROM.
II am really not sure where I messed up but I really need help.
Please!
UPDATE! I was able to put phone in eRecovey to get back chinese version. Memory all good almost.
The phone is still with bootloader and unlocked.
What would be the easiest way to get L29 on it?
SOLVED! After updating chinese version back to the phone I was able to fix it all.
Some issues I had:
Rays Italian Knife is almost useless (dont bother). Had to do all manual fastboot commands.
Just one TWRP is working for the phone. 3.0.2.0 4.1
At the end I took german l29 rom and puted it on the SD. Flashe, rebooted, updated and works.

[Q] Huawei U8510 stuck at first boot - Bricked?

Help.
I completely screwed up but do not know where.
Had problems rooting but eventually made it with 'Automatic-Root-Enabler--U8510--v1.1' which worked first time.
Then used rom manager to install HuaweiU8510.zip which did not work so tried U8500_Huaweid.zip.
cache and Delvic cleared, rebooted and red huawei came on screen and there it stayed.
Removed battery, boot into recovery went into firmware update(image in dload but cant remember name) starts step 1 unpacking get yellow triangle with ! and says update failed. also tried again with zip files on sd card but back to red Huawei
Any one got any ideas please as I can get to the sd card but not to the internal memory and not adb/fastboot. So no way of getting a new recovery image into dload

Here in the netherlands there are no huawei phones too bad because on the wmc they announced some pretty good phones ..
But on topic...
Does your phone still start normal?
If not try flashing it back to stock firmware..
Maybe it's a problem with the custom rom...

I do own a galaxy s...
Once i had a similar problem...
It was caused by the filesystem
Samsung uses the rfs system but custom roms prefer ext4 which is better...
When your filesystem isn't compatible with your custom rom than you will have a startup problem so try to figure out if you have to change the filesystem.
can't post links from other sites cause i am a newby to xda forums this is really annoying

Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 5.0 downgraded to N900AUCUCNC2 Problems!

Hey guys!
First time posting on this site but I'm hoping you guys can help!
I have a Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 5.0 Lollipop version.
My ultimate goal is to root my Note 3. Since in the past I have rooted my old phones and love it. But with the Note 3, specially the N900a 5.0 lollipop version, it seems hardest to get accurate root instructions for.
After days of searching over many forums, I came to the conclusion that I need to flash my version (using Odin) Lollipop 5.0 OC2 back to Kitkat 4.4 NC2 and then from there I can use Towel Root to root my device and then upgrade to 5.0 again. So I thought..?
First of all, I backed up all my contacts and apps and everything using Easy Back Up. To my ext SD card an then I removed my ext SD card for safe keeping. Then I downloaded the required (working) Odin N900AUCUCNC2 files. Which was 4 separate files. I then put my phone into Odin Mode and connected to PC and ran Odin with the files selected. Everything went smooth, passed and my phone rebooted.. of course I was expecting a full factory reset with the new version. But when I check the version it says I'm still on 5.0??? And I even tried to fire up Towel Root and it won't even let me go to the site anymore and gives me a 404 error messege. All other sites seem to work tho.
Also to confuse things more, I turned off my phone and put my SD card back in to retrieve my back up and everything else on it. But... there's nothing there! It's complete wiped clean! Which doesn't make sense since I didn't have it inside my phone during the flashing progress.
So now I basically flashed my phone for nothing and lost all my data in the process.
I thought I was more computer savy than this but I guess this one stumped me and I could really use your guys help.
Where did I go wrong and how can I fix it?

Bricked after update to MM

Hi,
I did something stupid - I wanted to update my phone by creating a dload folder on internal memory and updating to EMUI 4.0 beta that's floating around on the internet (I got it from carbontesla). I knew it required a B326 version, I had B324 and still went through with it, because I mistakenly thought that B326 is only required for L10 (I have L09). Now the phone is stuck in bootloop.
I have tried the following:
1. Forced update - it was apparently successful, but still the phone kept resetting
2. I reset to factory settings and wiped cache - still keeps resetting
3. I tried to force update again, this time I get an 'update failed' info and asks me to reboot. Still the same.
4. Tried to reset to factory settings and wipe cache again - still no luck.
I can't even turn the phone off, so for now I keep it in recovery mode.
Any idea what can I do? Am I screwed for good?
I searched around on XDA and other forums but couldn't find anything - if anyone can help me, I will be very grateful. I just bought this phone 3 months ago and I can't afford a new one at the moment.

Experienced all. Tsk. Should have stayed away from the Marshmallow upgrade thread.

Uh-oh... Another Mate 7 phone bricked by the Marshmallow beta B511 update...
I guess you'll just have to wait for the full official marshmallow update (no longer beta) for your TL09 phone for your region, or at least, wait for the official TL09 marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package for your region. When Huawei releases one or both, then you can install one or both via forced update (power + volume up + volume down) and have a functioning phone again.
For now, there's nothing you can do but wait and wait... unless you know your way around rooting, unlocking bootloaders and custom ROMs. There are actually quite a lot of Mate 7 owners in the similar situation as you. If only you can BAND together with a common cause/objective, your 'bricked by Marshmallow B511' group could somehow be a FORCE to reckon with that Huawei cannot ignore. Your group can petition Huawei with emails to release at least the 'marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package' for other non-China regions NOW, or the EARLIEST humanly possible...
You may want to read other users similar experiences with their bricked mate 7 phone (by installing the beta marshmallow b511 update) here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...-marshmallow-b511-t3304178/page2#post65176950
It will make you feel much better knowing you are not alone. Alternately, you can just vent out your frustrations to Huawei in another thread. Not sure if its allowed in XDA though.
Those with bricked mate 7 phones:
Can you try and see if this suggestion works?

Guys I have mt7-l09 and its working with marshmallow, yes it drains more battery and some lagging in some areas but this should happen because its a beta and incremental release. For people who got spoil their phone while installing, you should read the requirements very well before downloading this rom. Its clearly mentioned for B326 and for un-rooted phones. so before you install you should install the B326 (you can download using this link: http://m.huawei.com/pkmobile/c... make sure to choose mt7-l09 or mt7-l10 and after installing the B326 install marshmallow beta.
For people who wants to downgrade, yes you can but you have to choose a full release like the B326-B327-B328.
N.B. ONLY Marshmallow BETA rom, Don't unzip the after downloading, its not like the other updates. You should copy the zipped file as is to inside "dload" folder.
Just a tip, some releases are not supporting 4G lte especially when it marked Europe.
For people who keep rebooting, try to connect you phone to pc or take out the memory card and use card reader and access your files and then delete the files from the "dload" folder and then download using your pc any full release rom (b326 or b327 or b328) and extract it and then copy the "UPDATE" file to the dload folder and then turn off the phone and then boot your phone while holding Vol up + Vol down + Power buttons at same time to automatically trigger the update installation and should go smooth.
Hope my comments will help

H60-L02 EMUI 4.0 Issues

Hey all,
My H60-L02 was running EMUI 3.1 B535 and i upgraded it to EMUI 4.0 6.9.1
It works fine and i installed TWRP 2.8.7.0 V5 which also works
but the second i try and root or sideload Gapps, it boots back into Android and its pretty corrupt, the launcher is just blank, but the lock screen, camera etc all work, i even managed to open the huawei app store and install apex launcher which works, but the whole OS freezes and is clearly corrupt.
I tried the downgrade method posted here but the recovery always freezes as 5% no matter what.
So im happy to make the best out of EMUI 4, just curious if anyone else has has this issue, also the multi tool seems a bit outdated for EMUI 4.0 support, is there somewhere else i can look for the latest OTA/TWRP/Gapps for EMUI 4.0?
Thanks
I managed to successfully downgrade back to EMUI 3.1
When it said to put the update on an SDCard, it meant a physical SD card

You can pretty much do anything Multitool does but manually.
Have you do factory reset after updating? It solves many problems.

yeah i typically do my own unpacking and flashing, i just use the multi tool for easy access to the correct versions of recoveries etc.
i should have tried factory reset, sometimes the best methods the most simple.
I have pretty much given up on EMUI 4.0, im back on 3.1 with B535 which is fine and stable.
Planning to get a new phone next month so i wont bother tinkering too much more with all this

Alrighty then. I just think it's a shame to give up on a firmware just because it seems unstable when it's not.
What are you getting?
Bit of a late reply i know.
I got a Xiaomi mi5 but returned it because i didnt realise how bad the camera was.
I have a google pixel xl now, and i was going to put my H60-L02 to good use and give it to my dad who has a galaxy S3, but a $5 sim adaptor destroyed the 4G sim card slot, so now i need to find a replacement board online

[Completed] Need to Flash ROM to Xiaomi Mi5. Every time I get freezing issues

Hello. This looks like the place I can get the best help.
Got a Xiaomi Mi5 last week - cheap and very cheerful. Having read online about possible fake roms and bloatware I thought the safest option would be to load the official stable rom to be safe.
Attempt 1
Following the MIUI guidance I downloaded the ROM, copied it to my phone in Windows explorer and then used the MIUI updater tool within the phone to load the new ROM.
http://en.miui.com/a-232.html
Everything went swimmingly for a couple of hours, but then the phone began crashing.
Attempt 2
By this stage I realised the above method was no longer available to me. So I got unlocking privalidges, unlocked my phone. Then, using MiFlash I flashed the latest ROM to the phone. Now the crashing problems happen within about a minute. It actually froze the screen first time round so I did it again.
Added fun issue - left my phone on overnight to charge. And it had stopped charging at 58%.
Attempt 3
Downloaded the EU MIUI Rom. Accessed TWRP in my phone and tried to use it to wipe and install. Not sure the wipes were fully effective - got a lot of red writing. And when I went to install the new ROM the internal storage was 0MB.
Had a look at guidance, and I forget what I did, but was finally able to see the zip file on my phone through TWRP. I got the "7" error. Have read how to fix this but seems too risky considering whats gone before.
Desired solution
I would just like any ROM on my phone which works. Don't really care which, I have followed each guide religiously. It may well just be a faulty phone but I don't want to send it back to China without ruling out the problem being me screwing with the software. Especially as I assume i've technically voided warranty... (I can reload Global Developer and relock it though so have hidden it pretty well. Only difference I can tell is that I now get a menu in recovery mode when before I got instruction to go to PCsuite).
Also - I seem to remember there originally being a downloaded_rom file in the internal memory which is no longer there. If im sending it back do I need to recreate one to hide my activity?
Appreciate any advice.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Xiaomi phones are encrypted by default so you need to wipe your phone in fastboot to access your storage again and you also need to flash latest su zip to disable dm verity. That should clear you internal memory issues and allow you to flash a zip through twrp
Good Luck
