D838 TWRP on Lollipop - LG G Pro 2

Hey Dudes. i Want to install miui8_gpro2_yanzihan_6.12.27_6.0 on my g2 pro (d838). iam currently on lollipop and iam rooted with dproot. But i cant enter to recovery or download mode by pressing the hardware keys. i tried to install twrp with the twrp manager, but there is no official support for my modell (without carrier branding). is there a way for my to install miui8 on my g2? iam new on lg g2 rooting/custom roms, coming from samsung (s2, s4, s5, s5mini) and there will be all installed by using odin and the recovery apps.
hope for answers
greetings

Could you clarify which paths did not work?
Don't really want to brick my phone.
Thanks!
PS.: How is Resurrection?

Hey. You cant Brick your Phone. Open the Script and enter every command manually so you can see the errors live and you can change the paths (try the paths with cmd)
If the paths are wrong only the upload of one or more files will fail.
I dont know the paths now, but i thought correct path was began with /sdcard/yourpath. You will See it when you upload one file because you get an access denied.

The links are dead from 'baidu.com'
I need the script. Can someone provide it?

ZTE Blade Apex 2 | Unable to Install Firmware

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my phone. I cannot install the correct firmware, I can only install the firmware (Orange Hi 4G) but it's not compatible with my phone, so the phone bootloops and doesn't go into the system.
I cannot install the firmware for my device because it's not signed with the orange's certificate and key, my phone has the orange's recovery and fastboot is disabled on the rom so I cannot use that. I have the certificate and key but I cannot get the key in a .pem file, the certificate is already in one.

What phone is this? Did you look for firmwares at ztedevice.com? It has plenty of official update.zips.
By the way, my weird Apex2 wouldn't root with any known method, and it had a "Finland" build ID.
It appears it can be rooted now with the PC version (not .apk version) of the non-english iRoot.

You cannot instal any other firmware, you have to flash the recovery of the other firmware before flashing it, it won't let you. I need to sign the other rom with the orange certificate and key but I can't get the key in a .pem file to be able to flash it.
I know. You keep shouting you "need" to get another linux kernel (firmware). Why?
If you need the official update.zip for you just get it from ztedevice.com

Help rooting and installing ROM

Hello guys.
I'm new to Huawei devices. I've previously successfully rooted LG, Samsung and HTC devices, but I'm having trouble to understand how this works on the Mate 8.
I have a NXT-L09 model from AT&T Mexico. I didn't have any issue getting the code to unlock the bootloader nor installing TWRP so I thought it waa going to be easy to root by just installing the SuperSU zip in TWRP.
The issue is that TWRP is asking me for a password I didn't set and is unable to read my internal storage. I have researched and discovered that is because the device is encrypted.
My plan is to first make a backup of my current ROM because I haven't found a stock ROM of the C212B120 version I have. Then I'd like to root my phone so I want to make sure that there's something I can do to decrypt my phone, I have read that there is a file that is flash able in TWRP, but does it depend on the model or something?
I'm also considering flashing the stock international ROM so I can have fastest updates. How could I make the model change?
Please, if anybody is able to clarify this to me and guide me through the process, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
This is SAD...
Hey man, i think that is very sad that there are almost none updates for the same rom, I'am also on ATT Single Rom L09C212, and i have no luck updating it or finding firmwares.
did you update your phone?
i just hope that huawei release the nougat update for our phones.
greetings from Monterrey!

[TWRP][ROOT][SM-C701] Unofficial TWRP 3.1.0-0 For Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro

This is TWRP 3.1.0-0 ported from SM-C910 to SM-C701 using stock kernel (zImage) and binary device tree (dtb) from SM-C701F (India). It seems to work for rooting, anything else I did not test.
Disclaimer: Flashing this gon' trip knox and you lose your (device's) warranty.
Built from the SM-C910 TWRP.
Kernel & Device Tree from SM-C701F 6.0.1.
No "SEANDROID ***" red warning.
Fonts replaced with Fira Sans and Fira Code.
Flash via ODIN, sideload latest SuperSU and enjoy root.
TWRP: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298975790
Note: As per my experiences, it is recommended to Format Data (not just wipe) then Reboot > Recovery otherwise TWRP will not be able to mount /data.

ROOT & Stock ROM for SM-J727S Galaxy J7 May 2017

Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I have rooted before (long time ago) but I can't seem to find a lot of information on this specific phone (SM-J727S). I have been searching online (and across many dodgy looking websites, thanks No Script!) and this is about all that I have found:
The Galaxy J7 is also known as the Galaxy Wide 2 in South Korea
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11601&c=samsung_sm-j727s_galaxy_wide_2
It was released on May 2017, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and uses the Exynos chipset
TWRP has a release for the J700 series but I'm not sure if it would work on the J727S
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj7exynos.html
The source code for the system has been released, but I couldn't find a stock ROM (which made me reluctant to try TWRP)
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=j727s
This is the closest I got to a Stock ROM but I don't trust the site, is this site trustworthy? (again, I came across too many dodgy sites to just download anything)
https://stockromupdate.com/2017/07/26/stock-rom-sm-j727s-samsung-galaxy-wide-2/
The KingRoot method currently will not work and is asking me to wait for an update (phone is probably too new to root?)
The closest thing I can find on this forum are these posts (but none reference the J727S model)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-td-lte-t3611202
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-galaxy-j7-t3598117
So, I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
I'd thought I'd mention that the bootloader is unlockable in this phone. I had read elsewhere that other people cannot access the 'OEM Unlock' option on their version of the J7. It isn't the case with this phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-pop-galaxy-halo-t3647805/page2
I also got a message from Google talking about my accounts being accessed by a 'J7 Pop'. I guess the Galaxy Wide 2 is also known as the J7 Pop?
So, I'm still on the track of rooting this device. I'm just gonna update any relevant stuff here.
The closest TWRP that I can find is for the 2016 version of this phone, it has the same Exynos chipset.
I'm thinking of trying this, but are there any problems with flashing the wrong version of TWRP? (Will I brick the phone? Or will it just error-out on recovery and boot normally?)
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj72016exynos.html
I also found (what I believe to be) the Stock ROM for this type of phone, you have to sign up to the site in order to download it. It is specific to SK Telecom (Korean telecommunications provider)
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/samsung-galaxy/SM-J727S/SKC/download/J727SKSU1AQD6/172065/
If someone can advise about going forward with the similar TWRP version I'd appreciate it. Cheers!
EDIT: Kinda answered my own question, from the TWRP download page https://dl.twrp.me/j7xelte/
Downloading an image for a different device, no matter how similar, usually does not work.

Any way to request an TWRP version?
I am Korean, and it's very hard It's angry me............................
XDDDD I'm from South Korea too and the J727S is customized with the Knox Enrollment Service that blocks the wifi and cellular data AND apk installization. (trying to uninstall it )
I found this: https://www.androidinfotech.com/2018/02/root-samsung-galaxy-wide-2-sm-j727s-nougat.html
anyone habe twrp for this model ????
Hi.. I've this model also.. tried to downgrade..but it can't..always failed
My friend was installing the twrp to root a J7 metal.
Now the cell phone does not restart, and I do not know what the **** it did KKkkkkkkkkkk
It wants to remove the twrp without formatting the device.
If installing the original rom by Odin using home_csc does it return to normal without formatting?
Restore

Wrong sboot.bin on Samsung Xcover 3 - Hardbricked?

Greetings, everyone! Usually I have good knowledge regarding rooting, custom recovery and flashing a new system. But this time I tried to downgrade the Samsung Xcover 3 of my friend and flashed the Android 4.4.4 sboot.bin with Heimdall - unfortunately I forgot to tick the "no reboot" option. The moment it rebootet, I know do not have any access to the phone anymore.
When trying to bring it into download mode, it vibrates, but nothing else. Neither Linux nor Windows recognizes the phone. Is it dead? How to gain access so that I can flash the correct sboot.bin? Any tricks you recommend?

If you can find a "debrick.img" or "debrick.bin" for your specific model number, there is a method that uses your external sdcard to boot the phone then repair it while it is booted.
But, first, you need to find a debrick.img or debrick.bin for your specific model number. If you can't find a copy for your model number, you can try finding another member here that has a rooted Xcover 3 with the exact same firmware as your device had and have them pull a copy of debrick.img or debrick.bin from their device then upload it for you to download.
If you can't find that, the only other options are to send the device to a repair shop for JTAG service or replace the motherboard.

I did not even expect that someone would answer here. THANK YOU SO MUCH, @Droidriven! That gives me hope to rescue the phone instead of having o buy a new one for my friend. Here is what I actually did wrong: In my attempt to "downgrade" from 5.1.1 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat (downgrade needed to be able to root the phone) I flashed the sboot.bin of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Heimdall and forgot to tick the NO REBOOT option.
That being said, the phone now only vibrates when using my JTAG (yes, I actually have one and the phone vibrates, but does not boot into download mode and is not recognized by neither Windows nor Linux). So, how to build this unbrick image? Could you help me with that? Both firmwares are to be found here:
Code:
https://samsungfirmware.net/samsung-galaxy-xcover-3-sm-g388f-stock-firmware
Another thread with sadly no file uploaded was to be found here:
Code:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/search-g388f-xcover3-debrick-img-sdc-t3399231
As for the creation of the unbrick image, do you recommend this tool? I currently have no Windows at hand but can provide you with the original PIT file if you can run this tool to create it:
Code:

Furthermore, I actually wanted to install LineageOS on that phone. Not sure if you have a Google-foo so strong that you are able to find a working one for me?
Thanks a lot for your help. May god return your efforts in helping me!
