[Completed] Galaxy J1 Samsung Lock with no Samsung account - XDA Assist

Okay, so I have a Samsung Galaxy J1 (SM-J100VPP Model) and it's been sitting in a drawer. When I used it as a main phone, a friend of my little brother came over and stole it and my headphones. I got them back, with the added effect of it being hard reset and the SIM thrown away. When I tried to set it back up it asked for a samsung account, which I did not have. I never entered a Samsung account, although I have one. I tried that one and even tried deleting and remaking it. Nothing seems to work. At this point I'd like to try a linux mobile phone or just have it as a storage device with a screen. I have looked and looked and looked some more but nothing is working. I'm hoping you guys can help me. I'll never use it as a main phone again, so some functions being removed doesn't bother me at all. I just want WiFi and for it to work.

Greetings and welcome to assist. First of all try using kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery, this will return your phone to its original state. If you then come across FRP there are several guides on how to bypass it on xda

That should work

How to completely wipe phone

So my wife in her infinite wisdom, bought a Galaxy S6 off some guy at her work to replace my aging HTC M8. The catch being that he forgot his Samsung credentials, so he couldn't log in, and therefore is selling the phone to make up for his stupidity.
Before buying it, she checked the IMEI and its clear, along with the fact that the guy had all the original stuff that came with it, and it was almost brand new.
Now my question is, how can I bypass this? How can everything be erased for this isn't an issue? I've odined it to a fresh ROM, even Nand Erase All, but its still stuck with it. I know previous versions there was ways around it, but I can't seem to find one with this.
Currently running AT&T build G920AUCU2AOF3, which I believe is 5.0.2.
The phone is still logged into his old Samsung account? That shouldn't happen if you reset the phone. It should boot into a fresh rom with zero accounts connected to the phone

Yes. Especially if he used the NAND Erase All.
Whilst off. Volume up, home button + power button. Boot to recovery then format device, erase all user data. Unless the previous owner had cerberus installed, as this inhibits the power button when locked....
The previous owner was an older guy that probably forgot his screen lock, googled how to reset it, found a tutorial on XDA, and messed that up. He had that "I have no idea what tech is" vibe, so I doubt he had Cerberus installed.
How does the Samsung Reactivation lock manage to stay on even over a fresh Odin install?
Any ideas?
Flash twrp and factory reset and format
Bump.

Check out my SM-G92xx Helper Post, link in my signature below...
A simple hard reset (phone off, volume up+home key+power button) should do the trick.
I bought my phone on Swappa, and even tho the seller already did a full wipe, I still did it anyways and it started the phone with the initial phone set up where I had to sign into my gmail, samsung account, etc
Id use samsung smart switch. It wipes and downloads then flash the latest firmware for your phone

AT&T S6 still won't work right tried everything

I've searched far and wide on these long threads and tried most of them. Twice or more and I still can't add certain. Accounts specially samsung. Yes the phone is Samsung account locked the phone was reported stolen so my brother could get a new one and he gave me this one. Now that I don't have a working phone I need to get this thing up.and running. It's got activation lock on even when I turned it off double factory reset and all those tricks and asks work but not 100%. I'm broke and can't buy a good phone and would love the help
No one on XDA will help you when you obtained the phone through fraud.

galaxy s6 sm-g920w8 reactivation lock bypass

hey everyone i am going absolutely nuts trying to get past this reactivation lock. i've tried absolutely everything for the past couple of days. can anyone help me? pretty sure im on latest.... i can get into youtube and all that and apex launch into the system but cannot get rid of the samsung account?
please i beg of you help me!
i just got around the FRP lock on my dads S5 (straight talk G903VL) last week and i dont even know what his gmail address is to be perfectly honest. His phone wasnt associated with any service account either, so the only commonality that google would know about is sharing our last name. Anyways, what i ended up doing is just entering my gmail acct info in the fields and it just asked me to make a new password. It seemed waaaaaay too easy to get past, so im assuming that something else had happened to cause it. I had also factory reset it several times in stock recovery and attempted to flash the G900V firmware on it (which failed over 5 times with different firmware versions)
anyways, heres a how-to with some methods worth trying

galaxy tab active 2 problem

Good evening all, hope you are all having a happy holidays. I recently received a samsung galaxy tab active 2 (sm-t390), before I had the seller reset it, I made sure there wasnt a google account hooked up to it, he reset it and I went on my way, excited to play with my new purchase. When I get home, and try to get it through start up, when I get to the wifi screen, it tells me "Unable to sign into wifi ap An unauthorized factory Reset has been preformed on this device The sign in screen cannot be accessed. I talked to one of my friends about this, he said that I may need some kind of combination software for 7.1.2 but couldn't offer me any more advice. While I am not a professional, i used to repair smart phones and tablets and computers, and sometimes would have to reprogram a computer or ps4, so I have some general knowledge but if anyone could please explain a little better what I need to do to get this thing working again? It was supposed to be a gift for the wife and now it's late. Thank you in advance.
Sounds like you need to download kies and do an emergency recovery. I would at least start there.

Galaxy A520W

So, my dad gave me his old Galaxy A5 phone, he upgraded to a Note 9 a while ago, but neither of us can't seem to remember his login info for his google account, can't even recover anything either because his old number is gone too. So I tried going at it with Odin, and flashing it, but the FRP persists. I found out that I think I need a combination file for this phone, after digging around I can't seem to find the correct one that corresponds with this version.
The correct combination file should read as :A520WVLS7CSD1
But I can't find any with this combination, and I'm not sure what other options I have, in the end, the phone might be bricked, or maybe I can sell it for parts, but if I can manage to get past this one problem, then I'm sure I'll have a working phone. It's all really frustrating, so I was hoping I could get some help.
I found plenty of firmware, and things alike, but none of them help to get rid of the google account issue. I'm completely new at working with Android phones, so I do apologize if its a simple fix.
Thank you in advance!
