[Tip] Use this trick if you're unable to connect phone to PC via MTP. - Xiaomi Mi 4i

I'll directly jump to the matter :
If you are unable connect your phone to PC with MTP even after trying all the usual methods, use this trick:
Simply reboot into recovery and connect phone via USB cable. Phone will be connected as MTP device and you can browse files in File Explorer.
Click to collapse

Disadvantages:
1. Phone will be in recovery mode. Can't use your phone in the normal way.
2. Suffer through the boot process(well, it depends on your ROM)
Advantages:
1. Serves as emergency file access.
2. All the things you can do in recovery simultaneously.
Note: This trick works flawlessly with TWRP(and Windows PC). Not sure about other recoveries/OS. Try and share your result
I hope this helped you and was worth your time.

[Guide] USB OTG (USB host mode)

I got my usb otg wotking a year ago and then totally forgot about it. I tried it again after some time and it didn't work for me. Now I rediscovered it and made this little guide.
1. You need to power your usb port. Either Y-cable or USB hub with uplink power supply. link
2. Latest PATCHED KERNEL and supported rom link
3. Download and extract otg_scripts.zip attachment to your SD card.
4. To run scripts you will need SManager from play store.
5. Run SManager. Grant Super user permissions. Open otg_host.sh in SManager. Check SU. RUN it.
6. Your phone will now disconnect from computer and you can attach devices to your Desire S.
If otg_host.sh throws errors then run otg_mount_fs.sh and then otg_host.sh.
When you want to connect your phone to computer run otg_peripheral.sh. This disable otg host.
As a bonus you don't need a special usb cable with a shortened pin.

[SOLUTION] HTC Explorer USB Connection Problem

DISCLAIMER: Iam NOT responsible if something happens to your phone.
Problem Description:
When I connect my HTC Explorer to PC using Data Cable NOTHING HAPPENS ,It Just CHARGES and the Menu doesn't open up.
Even When I tried USB Tethering by going into setings Manually .It says "Unable to Turn On" .I can no longer transfer files from phone to PC .
Have you tried
1. Reinstalling HTC Sync and Drivers
2. Rebooting and Hard Reset
3. Flashing Custom ROM's
4. Using Different Data Cables
But still NO LUCK !!!
First Let's Check Whether it's a Hardware Problem (NOT NECESSARY)
1. Go into Bootloader and then to Fastboot Menu
2. Connect your Phone to PC
3. Now the Phone should Read as "Fastboot USB"
4. Try this Fastboot Command "FASTBOOT DEVICES"
5. If your Phone is Shown in the list ,It's Just a Software Problem and Continue Reading this thread
.If not ,then it's mostly a Hardware Issue
Solution:
1. Download PDANet on your phone (NOT THE APK) (This is for USB Tethering)
2. Connect your Phone using Data cable with Windows Logged On (Nothing will happen)
3. Restart your PC (DONT remove your Phone)
4. As soon as PC starts up ,you'll see the Menu on your Phone that used to appear (You'll see Disk Drive,USB Tetheing....)
5. Make Sure USB Debugging is ON
6. When you're logged into Windows, Select Disk Drive from the Menu on your phone
7. Wait and you're Memory Card will be recoginsed on PC
8. Open PDAnet.exe from Memory Card and Install
USB Tethering will now work (If still not working ,go into settings->wireless and networks->mobile networks->access point names and try changing access point ,then try PDANet again)
This WORKED for me ,:good:
So Next time ,Follow Step 2,3,4 and 5
Then After you log on, Choose Anything you want from Menu on Phone.
I doubt USB Tethering will work directly .But you can use it from PDANet.:good:

[Q] Xperia T LT30p - Bricked

I probably bricked my phone. I am unable to boot into system, all I can do is to boot into recovery mode.
However, it is completely useless, as I can't flash any ROM:
1) from pc through adb (whatever I do, device just can't be connected to pc through adb)
2) nor from sd card (as there are no ROMS saved on sdcard - as from the beginning I was trying to do it through cable on pc so I have roms only on PC. but can't push them on device, because can't connect device to adb...)
From that it looks like I have no chances to make my phone working, as 3rd option probably does not exists
I tried official Sony flashtool (called Emma?wtf) and I was able to can connect device to it and start flashing, anyway after few seconds I always get this error "Back-end communication failed".
Some other options? Thanks a lot!
PS: looks like randomly (sometimes) I can connect device to adb, but only as unathorized, what is once again useless (can't push anything to sd card)

PC Doesn't Recognise GT-N8010 Device

Hi,
After flashing a custom ROM, my GT-N8010 device is not recognised by my laptop. I think it was after I used Advanced Wipe in TWRP while my device was connected to my computer. Ever since then, I've been getting the "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned" error. Flashing custom ROMs with a Micro SD card works fine, but the device is still not recognised.
I've tried:
1. Selecting File Transfer as the default USB protocol
2. Enabling/Disabling the USB debugging function
3. Using the Mount option in TWRP
4. Connecting the device to multiple laptops
5. Reinstalling the Samsung USB driver for mobile phones
I thought flashing the stock ROM would be the best option, but I couldn't use Odin because my device is not recognised.
Also, the USB cable is an official cable, and charging works (through both the charger and the PC).
Would anyone happen to know how this could possibly be fixed? Or is there any other way to flash the stock ROM without a USB cable?
Thank you!

Tried it on a completely different PC, but the results are the same. I think there's a problem with the GT-N8010 device; I've tried changing the PC/laptop multiple times already.
Usual is USB cable then no Samsung USB Drivers .

so i want to install app via google play using my google account that allow me to access my phone files without permission
any ideas ??
It doesn't need Internet to transfer data like pictures or PDF files from phone to PC:
If phone is USB-OTG-enabled then all you need is an USB-OTG-adapter cable to access the files from PC: the phone then acts like a USB-stick ( USB host ).
Of course PC must support USB-OTG, too, and phone should be fully charged.
How-To ( Windows PC ):
Unlock your device.
With a USB-OTG cable, connect your device to your computer.
On your device, tap the "Charging this device via USB" notification.
Under "Use USB for," select File Transfer.
A file transfer window will open on your computer. Use it to drag files.
When you're done, eject your device from Windows.
Unplug the USB-OTG cable.
download scrcpy and extract it: https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy
connect your phone to pc via usb
go to extract folder, hold Shift key and right click -> choose run powershell -> input command:
scrcpy --otg
