I have a mate 9 pro - upgrading from my p9 plus. Can't seem to find how to backup the phone and settings? Didn't want to backup to cloud in China and couldn't find app/settings to backup to phone/disk. Huawei backup was under backup & reset settings on p9 plus but that option seems missing on mate 9 pro. Tried to download huawei backup from play store but getting 505 error on install. Any idea what I am missing/doing wrong?
Which buildnumber do you have?
B139. I found the apk file on the huawei website and installed that and it worked - now I have backup again.

Back up your data with Backup app, make an FDR and then restore your data with Backup app.
Update: To do an FDR, go to Settings-->Advanced Settings-->Backup & Reset-->Factory Data Reset.

Solved it!
Root - needed.
EMUI 5.0.1
Android 7.0
FRD-L04
* I belive it should work for all 7.0 various but NOT tested
I've been able to restore all Huawei stock apps and features.
I've copied hw_init folder (copied from another fully working Honor 8 device) to his place and restarted the device (use an explorer that have root access, I've used Solid Explorer).
That's it!
Folder full path: root\data\hw_init
I'll do my best to upload the folder later this weekend.

Yes, I backed up on MIUI and restored from Pixel Experience while I was encrypted. Even though most apps and data were restored properly, it failed with a few apps (I don't remember their names).
Mine says nothing to restore after flash. Anyone with a fix?

The problem is that my nokia phone is ext4 partition while my poco x3 pro is in f2fs file system, and every time I tried to restore my backups it's ended in force encryption state and data inaccessible error.
Is there any way to disable force encryption lock?
I tried dm-verity disabler and I faced /odm partition not found error
Please help me disable it.

I don't know. I didn't use it.
Since you are using MIUI, another way to try is install Mi Mover in your Nokia and then backup from it, then restore in MIUI.
Still don't expect it can backup and restore apps fully functional, it's just another try and error.
No no I'm using Crdroid 11 the latest version
TWRP 3.5.2 supports backup/restore. Does anyone use this feature?
I plan to upgrade stock ROM from android 10 to android 11 and there are some complains about android 11. It would be nice to know if it is easy to switch between android 10 and android 11 using TWRP.

If you use Xiaomi cloud, calls, sms, mms, call recording will be saved.
You can use Miphone assistant for the same thing (backing up some apps with data, themes, etc., don't back up the launcher elements because of 10 to 11).
For apps, use an apps like Titanium or others.
With Twrp, the backup is not 100% reliable, especially with the switch from Android 10 to 11.

Maybe if your backup is in A12 and your new system in A13, that's a problem.

Hi,
To restore your old backup on your Xiaomi Mi 13, you can try using the built-in "Mi Backup" feature on the phone. This allows you to restore apps, contacts, messages, and other data from a previous Xiaomi device. You can also use third-party backup and restore apps, such as Titanium Backup, to restore your data.
Regarding the problem with Google Backup and Restore, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Make sure you have the latest version of Google Backup and Restore on your device
Check that you are signed in to the correct Google account
Make sure you have enough storage space in your Google Drive or Google One account
Try disabling and re-enabling the Backup and Restore feature on your device
Check your device's internet connection and make sure it is stable
If the problem persists, you may need to contact Xiaomi support for further assistance.
