For all those who get a boot-loop after installing custom themes of CM.
Cause : This is generally caused by custom bootanimations that are installed with the theme.
Fix :
1. Go to Recovery Mode.
2. Mount System.
3. Go to Advanced.
4. Go to File Manager. (Applicable for most of TWRP recovery versions).
5. Locate : /data/system/themes folder.
6. Select and Delete Bootanimation.zip file and reboot the phone.
Your phone will reboot just fine, with the system default bootanimation.
Hit Thanks if I helped.

Ahmed.

Hi, I tried to follow the instructions od multiboot installation of the post titled '[DEV][2012/04/13] Multiboot v0.5.5' , but unfortunately after step 7, I don't see any menu and start the CM7 logo on loop.
I've created 2 folder named CM9 and MIUI with the 3 img files. They was been created with MultiBootManagerFree.
I've actually installed CM7.2 nightly 2012.04.20....
I don't understand what could be my error. Any council??
Regards to everyone who wanna help me!!
Marco
P.S. Here down the followed instruction:
1. Open Stable recovery flash CM7/CM9 (preferably froyo kernel).
2. Now boot into CM7/CM9 verify your primary system is running fine .
3. Find the fsimages attached in first post . Extract it under
/sdcard/multiboot/<your virtual system name> (eg. /sdcard/multiboot/CM7.2)
4. Boot into recovery again (Either of Latest / Stable).
5. Flash bootmenu v0.5.1 and reboot
6. When blue LED flashes press down volume rocker .
7. In boot menu select 2nd boot .
8. When you select 2nd boot , your menu should appear something like this
CM7.2
MIUI
Codename
Boot from Nand (Real system)
Recovery (CWM)
Reboot
9. Now select CWM .It would now show all virtual images But not the Recovery (CWM) string anymore. Smething like this
CM7.2
MIUI
Codename
But now you wont see any nand boot (Real system) or reboot string anymore.
10.Select anyone of those. But before that be sure you have copied all of the fsimages under /sdcard/multiboot/<your virtual system> ( as mentioned in step 3).You would get a long pause . As if phone has stopped responding . But actually your phone is jus fine .Its just creating the file system images. Dont PANIC!!
11. Now after long pause when the image files have been created . you would see your lovely recovery . Now this is the recovery you have been love in with .
12. Flash your virtual system zip selecting zip from sdcard (MIUI , Codename , CM7 whatever).
13.After flashing has been completed reboot and go to bootmenu .
14. Go to 2nd boot You would see now CM7.2 in menu.Select it and you would be inside CM7.2 !!!!!!!!
Note : Before trying all this make sure you have put the default boot as 2nd-System ( If you are using Multiboot version greater than 0.5.2 alongwith bootmenu 1.1.8) . If not then default boot should be 2nd-Boot.
No one who can help me!?!
Hello to everyone.
In this guide I will explain you How to Change the Boot Animation & Bootlogo of your phone by an easy and detailed step by step process.
So as the name suggests Bootlogo is the first slide that appears when you power on your phone and Boot Animation is the animation that play there after till the device if fully switched on.
THINGS NEEDED:-
1) A rooted phone.
2) Custom Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
3) Root Explorer App ( Available on Play Store )
NOTE - There are no particulars in case of bootlogos and boot animations, that means any particular bootlogo or boot animation will work on your device if its screen resolution is same as your phone's.
WORD OF CAUTION - Though the method is universal and works for everyone, If anything goes wrong and you brick your device, I am not to be held responsible. ( In case you soft brick your device, flashing the stock firmware on your device and then wiping the cache through recovery will fix it)
CHANGING THE BOOTLOGO :-
1) To change the bootlogo and then apply a custom one, first you need to select the bootlogo that suits you and download it's zip file. Various bootlogos are available on the internet and you will find the best ones in the XDA Themes and Apps forum. So head on to the forum and download the bootlogo zip file that suits you the most.
2) After downloading the zip file reboot your phone to recovery
3) Select 'install zip' in the recovery menu and then browse through your folders and select the bootlogo zip file. Install the zip.
BOOM! You have successfully changed your bootlogo. Reboot your phone to see the change.
CHANGING THE BOOT ANIMATION :-
Now changing this ain't as easy as changing the bootlogo since here the zip is not flashable.
1) As mentioned in the above process download the boot animation zip file that you like the most which you will again find in the XDA Themes and Apps forum.
2) After downloading the zip, open the Root Explorer App and head to the place where you have downloaded the boot animation.(If the file name is bootanimation.zip then for now rename it to something else)
3) Copy the zip file and paste it to system\media which is located in the internal memory of the phone. (You will see that there already exists a bootanimation.zip file which is the original boot animation of your phone)
4) Now rename the original boot animation file to something else and the one you downloaded to bootanimation.zip
5) After that long press the boot animation you downloaded and see the permissions. Make the following changes if it ain't already. Grant the read permission to all three I.e. owner, group and others and the write permission to owner only thus making the permissions as rw-r-r.
BAM! You successfully changed your boot animation. Reboot your phone to see the changes.
If you want some help or underwent a problem, feel free to comment.
Please hit the thanks button if I helped because just saying it won't do me any good.
Cheers!
Hey Guyz,
I found a new way to revert back to MIUI V5 from MIUI V6.
As me many of us hav very slow internet connection due to which we are not able to download via TWRP recovery Manager. To avoid downloading i found new way
## First, you have to root your phone.
Steps:
Download the file Root_HM1S_MIUI6_Global.zip and put it in root of sdcard (Use internal)
Launch the Updater app
From the menu select 'Choose update package', and navigate to root of sdcard and select Root_HM1S_MIUI6_Global.zip
The updater app now reboots into the recovery, installs the update and then reboot
After the reboot has finished, You will able to see a new app namely SuperSU.
Open it one popup will aris and choose 'Continue' to update the SU binary
7. In the next dialog select 'Normal' and an updated su binary will get installed
8. Finally confirm to 'Reboot' after the successful installation
## Now Download Flashify App
## After that download TWRP or Philz Recovery and extract it
##There u will find the recovery.img file navigate it to root of sdcard
##Now Open Flashify App
##Select Recovery image
##There Select choose a file
##And navigate to the Image and select it..
##Wait for few seconds popup will appear Flash complete and there select reboot now
##Now you will reboot to recovery
For TWRP Recovery:
#Now open recovery and go to wipe. And go to advance menu and wipe you all data internal storage an everything except external storage.
#After successfully wipe your phone. Go to reboot menu and reboot to recovery. It will back you again to TWRP recovery.

#After select the ROM flash it....
#And it will successfully flash(it may take some time) and now touch reboot option below.
#Successfully Reverted back to MIUI V5
For Philz Touch Recovery

#Select Wipe Cache , Dalvik Cache, And then Select Factory Reset
#After that Select "Clean to Install a New ROM"
