From some thread dedicated to your device here is the steps to flash recovery, after you already downloaded desired recovery to you SD Card:
Step 1: Download rashr from play store.
Step 2: Install it and open.
Step 3: Select recovery from sd card.
Step 4: Choose the recovery.img and flash it.

Try if CWM based the recovery, you must be off the phone once you press Volume up + Volume down and power button (do not Let go) may appear to be choices you press Just up button to enter recovery.
First make backup with CWM Recovery

1) Enter CWM recovery (you know how to enter)
2) Select backup and restore >>backup
3) Wait after (Make sure that there's more to 500mb plus space on the SDcard)

First of All things You need..
1. Rooted Micromax Unite 2 which would be rooted with Kingroot ( How to root Micromax Unite 2 without Pc) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2896139
2. Recovery Flashing Tool from here http://www.4shared.com/mobile/pYEw2FSXce/Recovery-Tools.html
3. Desired Cutom Recovery You Want.. Download it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/micromax-unite-2-custom-recoveries-t2809372
4. Take backup of stock recovery
Procedure:-
First of all open the Recovery tools appand slide ur finger from Right side and you will see a option Backup Recovery .. Click that and backup your stock Recovery..
1)At first Download Your Favourite recovery
and move to the root of your SD CARD.
2)Install the Recovery Tool.apk,from the above link.
3)Now Open recovery tool.
4)now click on Flash Recovery and choose appropriate recovery.
5)for other recoveries,click on flash Other Recoveries,and choose from sd card.
6.now reboot.

Follow these steps:
1. Download the Carliv V6 Recovery from Here
2. Download & install Mobileuncle MTK Tools from Here
3. Save the CWM_Carliv_V6_KK_2.img file on your SD Card, don't save it in file or folders, just in SD card or Internal memory
4. Open Mobileuncle MTK Tools, and go to the "Recovery Update" Section. Now on the top you will see CWM_Carliv_V6_KK_2.img file.
5. Just click on the CWM_Carliv_V6_KK_2.img file, and Mobileuncle will ask you to make sure if you want to flash that recovery. Just click ok, your phone will flash that recovery and voila! Your phone will enter the recovery mode of CWM.
