Have you tried clean flashing the latest build with Gapps and nothing else making sure to wipe dalvik, system, cache before flashing? I haven't seen any others besides you making this complaint so there is a high possibility the error is from something you are doing and only a clean flash without any mods or apps installed is the only way to test for bugs.

[Q] This is a very stange question!!

i have a very strange problem. my phone is a nexus s and when i try to do a download from any site that uses adfly i can only do the download with miui roms. i have tried several others and gives error. i have searched on google and see no solution. ca anyone help me? sorry for my bad english.
And i have tried lots of browsers and have flash installed.
Sent from my Blade using Tapatalk
when flashing ROMs, do you do clean installs? that is wipe cache, dalvik and data before flashing? if this doesn't work, you may have to wipe your device/ format your sdcard before flashing a new ROM, but that's a pretty drastic solution.
Manage Apps > Download Manager > Clear Data
or if that doesn't work:
Manage Apps > Downloads > Clear Data
thanks
i have found the solution. i still don`t know why i could open ******* site on miui roms but yesterday after installing all my programs with titanium i could not go to to ******* even with miui rom. so i looked to a app called adaway and uninstall it. and i coulg go again to ******* that little program is great to avoid adds on games and programs, but also forbiddens lots of sites(i didn`t know that). Thanks a lot for your help. if i can help in anything just say

Ported ICS Google Play Error [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]

Hi,
I'm using ported ics with badsouls rom. I get this error when I try to download something on the play store.
when I delete my google account and add it again after a reboot, I can download all the apps again.
But after some hours the error repeats. someone know how to fix the error? Could it be an error because of superchargerv6 and the modified services.jar file?
thank you for your help
What rom are you using?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021722 this one
edit: oh sorry my fault, while linking the thread, I read that badsoul fixed the error.
what is the best solution to install the newer rom without deleting all my apps / settings?

There isn't a way that I know of where you don't need to wipe data. I just use titanium backup to backup all my apps and settings.
Go to settings/account and sync remove your account. then re-add it.. and wait until it sync completely try that and let me know..
you can flash the new rom ontop of the other without wiping.. i recommend wiping cache and delvik
I installed v1.1, but have the same problem.
I even downloaded a new phonesky.apk like suggested in badsouls thread.
After I wipe cache / dalvkit and delete google account, I can download apps short after it.
But after some hours the problem comes back.
wipe
you can wipe data or reFlash rom .
I did already both, but error is still their.
I got NEWMAN N1 , some application were fine to install with Market some others (like Instagam) )I got error (RPC:..)
Finally I solved it by install via Chrom browser.
I don't want to re install account, why to do it ? , gmail is fine... all is fine...
Why google can't fix this LAME error

[Q] [Team Canjica] OmniROM 4.3 missing Play Store and Google account

I have updated stock Android 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy S Advance to Team Canjica OmniROM 4.3 (omni-4.3.1-20131218-janice-HOMEMADE.zip). Everything finished successfully. But when I restarted my device I can not see a Play Store app and in system settings in accounts there is no account type of Google. So I can not sign in and use my device. I also tried to install (omni-4.3.1-20131208-janice-HOMEMADE.zip) but it ends the same.
Please help me. Or maybe I am missing something and I should add my Google account somewhere else. I also tried to add it as exchanged account, but it can not connect to server.
Warning: No file_contexts
I am also getting following message during flash:
Warning: No file_contexts
but flash progress bar is still moving and when it has finished I can reboot to system but Play store app is missing
Second atempt
I tried one more time. I have restored stock Android 4.1.2 by download mode, then rooted and then installed again update with custom ROM, but still get the same warning and Play store and Google account is missing

Did you install Gapps (for Android 4,3)? And did you do a factory reset / wipe data, cache and dalvik cache?

Yes I have followed the instruction.
I have done a factory reset / wipe data, cache and dalvik cach.
Then installed OmniROM and Gapps.
After rebooting system I am missing Play store and Google account.
I have also rebooted to recovery mode and made once again a factory reset / wipe data, cache and dalvik cache, but it also did not help.
No I realized that even I have installed in recovery mode: Gapps it was also missing after rebooting to system.

Sounds like you forgot to download and flash the appropriate GApps package for your new ROM. Carefully re read the OP of that ROM thread and find the link for downloading GApps. GApps are the Google App packages for AOSP based ROMS. Those packages usually include the Playstore and other Google Apps.

Sounds like your Gapps package isn't fully installing. I would try installing the ROM, boot into the ROM and let it settle. Then reboot to recovery and install Gapps.

I will try to install Gapps after first reboot.
Can you confirm that this is correct Gapps file I should install?
goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
Previously when I tried to install Gapps there was displayed success message,
but after installing ROM there was only message: Warning: No file_contexts
but as far as I found on forum I should ignore this message.
But it was strange that there was no success message after installing ROM even if install progress was still moving when this warning was displayed.

That is the correct Gapps package for most 4.3 Roms. As I am not familiar with your ROM, I would double check the OP to make sure that is the package you should be using.

Tomorrow I will try your suggestion. But first I will have to make some backup of my phone because I do not want to configure all settings in my stock android again if custom ROM would fail again.

I use the same ROM with the same Gapps file. It works fine for me.
I have had the same problem when I had forgotten to wipe the dalvik cache after installing a new ROM, but if you have already done that (and again), I don't know what else to suggest (apart from retrying everything from scratch).

Play Services force-closing - fix?

Yes, this is a straight-forward fail - I am running a CM13-based ROM and flashed a nightly build (has been redrawn meanwhile) onto my N5 without backing up first. Right after the first reboot, I received a "Play Services has stopped working" error message and this keeps appearing all the time. Additionally, the Google Now Launcher has disappeared from my launcher list - and of course, all the Play Services-dependent features don't work, i.e. Chrome, Contacts sync, Play Store and so on. So, my phone basically is useless.
I suspect all the problems arise from the non-working Play Services. I managed to uninstall them after deactivating the Android Device Manager and re-installed the latest version, but this didn't fix the problem. Is there anything else I can try? Or is there no way around a complete wipe?
have u flashed Gapps?
Tried it, but didn't help either. I'll just go for a full wipe now. But thank you for answering!

try clearing Cache and dalvik cache and then delete the host file from "etc" folder!
I should've tried deleting the host file. Wiping Dalvik and Cache didn't work before...
Anyway, I took the opportunity, put my 32GB mainboard in and set up everything from scratch.
Are you using amplify?
No, I didn't use that.

google play services stops when restoring backup

Hi All,
I just made a clean install of this ROM and also flashed the gapps (downloaded from opengapps.org-nano package). When i select 'copy from data-previous backup', after loading for some time, google play services force closes. and a small windows pops up at the bottom saying ' there was a problem in migration'. i made a clean installe: wipe data factory reset, cache, dalvik cache, flashed gapps-reboot. any idea why this problem persists and how to resolve this. i seriously dont wanna install each app from the playstore again. very annoying

You have not what version of android you have and what version you had before clean install. I am assuming that you are coming from marshmallow to nougat. You cannot have that data back as it does not support right now. Data from old version is not able to migrat to new because it has data from application which were designed for marshmallow and it cannot be migrated to nougat.
