Ok for the most part my problem isn't the flashing or the ROM, kinda the ROM but I don't care to fix that part anyway my mms and sms i need to do a ##3282# but i don't have a stock ROM and my phone is rooted an when I dial that it just like freezes u can go back but it never loads the only code I can get to work n see it work is ##3424# I'm kinda thinkin maybe the other ones work I just can't c them maybe? Anyway I just need to the menu to change my mms url

Oh I can't change Rom to ota cuz its been flash n wiped nflashed more so I cantgo back to the original, (i know I should of revised my other comment but couldn't figure it out from my phone)

so my wife wants her shift back i will still be contributing what i can my question is what rom to i need to flash to in order to switch phone to re activate the shift i am going back to my epic

The main thing you need to make sure is working correctly is ESPT.
And where would i make sure that is in the rom i am on new sense

ESPT works perfect on newSense . Just checked it. Oh and in order to check if it's working just tap in ##3282# on the Dial Pad. That will pop up a Menu that says View, or Edit. If you choose Edit your going to need your MSL. If you don't have it you can get it by DL'ing MSL Reader Free in the Play Store .
sweet thanks i actually forgot i had to stock rom backed up from when i originally rooted my phone the first time so that is basically stock with root and busy box
now i gotta figure out what to do to the epic to get it to work or what rom to flash

You just described my rom I have rom manger.. is that what your talking about? I told you that on talk but I thought you wanted "stock" "stock" so that's why I linked you to the ruu. If you want to keep root and just activate it over the phone basicly with sprint then the rom on rom manager is the one you want.

No, this is touchwiz based ROM which needs touchwiz dialer. System framework would not allow other dialers to work. Until custom ROMs appear, only third party dialers from play store would work.
I am trying to send a photo through Google Hangouts.
I select the pic from the gallery and click the "share via" icon then select hangouts
then I select my account then the person I want to send pic to and all I get is a black screen and the top status bar is blinking on and off .
It never sends the picture and i have to back out of the app.
Just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and maybe someone can help me fix this issue.

Hmm ot aeems its problem with hangouts app.
You mat reset your device and try sending pics
I have a ssung galaxy core 2 rooted and hangouts works fine after updating to latest version

well i don't really want to do a factory reset.

i have my system backed up anyway so if it doesn't fix it I will just restore backup.

also it used to work fine
then it just stopped working no error message at all it just stays on the black screen with the status bar at top blinking.
If you want that your device should do for what you bought it than please do not install any custom rom.
I am not against its a good idea to have custom rom but flashing it over stock is a baaaaaad idea. You can dual bood all roms.
Stock rom provide all features to do all for what you bought.
I know stock touchwiz is laggy and is waste for fast ones.
But you can always twick stock rom rather than just installing custom roms.

Well I wound up reflashing the rom from scratch again.
Hangouts is now working with no problem.
The only thing i can think of that might have caused this was probably playing around with the DPI settings.
Not really sure though it is the only thing i recently tweaked.
Ya it could be dpi. I havey dpi changed and all works fine except dialer amd camera and gallery all non stocks app work fine but sone have problem.
You can correct ig by using xposed module and as setting module.
Install both the app and restore that apps setting to default which is not working well. I did this on my core 2 and it works well
