Ok for the most part my problem isn't the flashing or the ROM, kinda the ROM but I don't care to fix that part anyway my mms and sms i need to do a ##3282# but i don't have a stock ROM and my phone is rooted an when I dial that it just like freezes u can go back but it never loads the only code I can get to work n see it work is ##3424# I'm kinda thinkin maybe the other ones work I just can't c them maybe? Anyway I just need to the menu to change my mms url

Oh I can't change Rom to ota cuz its been flash n wiped nflashed more so I cantgo back to the original, (i know I should of revised my other comment but couldn't figure it out from my phone)

did your sms stop working as soon as you flashed over the rom? or did it stop working a while after the fact? did you try isolating if its a rom problem by seeing if your sms works when your on a stock rom?
Hey I think it stopped straight away.its weird.I flashed the same Rom and kernel on my dads phone as I did on mine but yet his sms doesn't work and mine does?the only difference I have noticed is the base band numbers?

try going back to stock and reflashing? I don't know why the baseband numbers are different to be honest

Your baseband is also called your 'radio'. That's what you'll need to flash to change it, not the ROM itself.
I'd recommend the above user's steps (return to complete stock, try again). That should fix your issue completely

since none of the developers i have talked to have these files, i would like to know if someone has the odin STOCK rom .tar and .pit files that aren't on multiupload... i want to go back to stock since the rom i am using is horrible and no one is making any new ones.. thanks
Well stock sucks I have them at home but it will be a while before I get there. Have you tried my rom? Ill be releasing a very stable release soon. Maybe its the one you think sucks who know. But ill upload the odin files later today.

the one that i have now is not yours. i just downloaded yours. the rage 3.0.2 which i am going to try now. are there any issues with it?
You have to set the apn manually and its missing a lot of unessisary apps maybe hold off until the release of 3.0.3 but its up to you. What have been the issues with the rom you are using? Either way ill upload the odin stuff and a more stable release of rage tonight hopefully

how do i set up APN? i have been having reboot problems along with that crap balze 4g modem which sucks. and just other problems that are irratating

this rom is smooth. the only thing i have noticed is that there is no touch screen keyboard. i tried to download one and it installed but i still cant open it to use it. i actually have to use my keyboard which i can't use because of fat fingers.
Go into locale and text and make sure the one you downloaded is enabled.

ESPT works perfect on newSense . Just checked it. Oh and in order to check if it's working just tap in ##3282# on the Dial Pad. That will pop up a Menu that says View, or Edit. If you choose Edit your going to need your MSL. If you don't have it you can get it by DL'ing MSL Reader Free in the Play Store .
sweet thanks i actually forgot i had to stock rom backed up from when i originally rooted my phone the first time so that is basically stock with root and busy box
now i gotta figure out what to do to the epic to get it to work or what rom to flash

You just described my rom I have rom manger.. is that what your talking about? I told you that on talk but I thought you wanted "stock" "stock" so that's why I linked you to the ruu. If you want to keep root and just activate it over the phone basicly with sprint then the rom on rom manager is the one you want.

I posted this in thrill general as well but those threads dont get a lot of action lol. I am curious if anyone knows or has posted a guide on whether or not you can somehow unlock network preferences on AT&T builds. Specifically on V28B you can choose gsm/wcdma (2g/3g) or 3g only or 2g only. V30B however does not have these options...nor did V20P. I think it has something to do with the debranded ability to connect to the Maritime network but I'm clueless really on this one. Im currently running xbsall's VX3D and I love it because its based on V30B and I have my 4g signal (even though there's no such thing as 4g where I am lol). I have a lot of network problems like dropped calls and sms fails in my house where I live so I always use the 2g only option here. Just don't want to get rid of this Rom so I thought Id ask first before flashing back to 28B.

with root explorer or similar app goto system/app mount r/w rename LGSettings3_1.apk to LGSettings3_1.apk.bak then copy the apk attached below and restart might work if it does not remove it and remove .bak also if *#*#4636#*#* works in the dialer on v30b you can do it from there
i had dropped calls with vx3d too when i was using it, thats why i went back to 7.2
theres something wrong with v30b at least in my country.
i was talking with my girlfriend for lets say 40 mins and it dropped the call 6 times although i had good signal.

No luck but it was worth a try could the odex files have anything to do with the apk not working right? I restored my .bak but I couldn't connect to data at all it would just force close, and I couldn't search networks. Almost couldn't get root explorer to open up to switch back lol.

Just re-read my post and I should have clarified that after restoring .bak phone is fine and back to normal. I kinda made it sound like the backup had issues. All problems listed cane from the lgsettings apk from above post just incase anyone else tries this.

Okay a while back my friend had his g2x stolen when he got it back it had a miui rom running, but would only make a clicking noise when a call was made. So I put cm7 on it, now he can make a call but can't get texts. So I restored it all the way back to v10f. 2.2.2. Once again Can't make calls. So now we are back to cm7 no text. Any ideas, I was thinking back to v10f then use the LG update tool. Maybe?

Path of last resistance is the LG updater. Maybe the baseband is wrong. Sms should work though. Try and post results.

Sounds like a baseband issue. try flashing the baseband fix. Also maybe its a ril issue. Download getril from app store and make sure your ril matches the rom

I ended dl the stock rom recovery files for 21y. Text myself a few times and everything is working. Now if get real says it's mismatched is that going to make him sound muffled.
It wasn't too hard I just didn't use the best wording for what I was looking for

If ril and bb aren't matching it can cause a host of different problems. Let getril setup your correct bb and ril properly and work from there. If calling sounds word flash the new baseband fix

Okay the ril and basebands match, the text messaging worked but then it quit again. I don't know what to do I've never seen this phone act this way I started on a g2x my girlfriend has my old one. It's been flashed on numerous occasions. Never had these problems
