This is a Webview System APK (version M54) which is based on Code Aurora optimised for Qualcomm devices. This is not Chromium Browser, which I also posted in this forum, but rather a System apk that enables your other apps to display HTML pages.

If you ever updated Webview from Googleplay, then you have a separate app in data. Go to Settings/App and see if a webview app is listed. If yes, you have to delete it...
is this WebView limited to ARM or can be used in ARM64, too?
Doesn't work on ARM64. I verified the sad truth after disabling and "uninstalling" Webview using Titanium. It was powerful placebo.

I ended up using Google's WebView because of the same thing happened to you
Tried deleting the apks, but still end up with "Application not Installed"
Installed and it works pretty good. My phone (Xperia honami) works pretty faster and everything is smooth but Internet browsers are not working anymore. I tried naked browser, opera, maxthon, armorfy, Firefox etx. They all crashes at start up. I had to revert to the original webview. Can you fix this please?
Thanks dev .. i use this in xiaomi mi4 LTE, seems to look faster while surfing the internet. I use the application via browser and uc browser. All look good..
Is there an updated version?

It'd be nice if we had access to DashClock updates like anyone else. Today a new version of DashClock came out on the Play Store but we can't update it because it's inbuilt into Omni.
+1 for this
Delete /system/app/DashClock.apk of change its extension.
Reboot.

i know, but the error was reported to be corrected in next build. :fingers-crossed:
Just tried updating on latest nightly and still getting the error. Even deleting the apk and rebooting I can't install from the Play store. Maybe remove DashClock from Omni altogether, it's easy enough to install from the store and we'll be able to get updates when they're released and not have to wait for a new hold of the ROM, this is far to much like a OEM/carrier restriction.

I removed the .apk that comes with OmniROM, rebooted, and installed the newest version from UtkarshGupta's link. Everything went fine.
Now for the .apk to survive between updates, all you have to do is add the DashClock.apk to an .sh script in the /system/addon.d directory. Works like charm on my manta (Nexus 10).

I'd rather be able to just update from the store and not have to worry about scripts. I'm also in the DashClock beta program which I don't get with it being included in the ROM. I know it's possible to do as you stated but I'd prefer to do it via the store and still be involved in the beta program.

There's something I don't really understand, though.
As far as I can tell from the changelog, Dashclock updates should have been added to Omni on 1/1-14. But even though I just tried removing the system APK and updating to the latest nightly build of Omni, it's still running Dashclock 1.5 build 26... Should that not be 1.6 build 30?
Yeah I'd noticed that as well. Will have to try and bring this up as a feature/bug request on their jira tracker if they have one.

PornAway is an extracted version of AdAway. I know blocking porn sites sounds kinda ridiculous but I did what I just wanted. It needs root and does the same as AdAway, make changes of system/etc/hosts file and that's all. Library & Compilation credit goes to AdAway developers.
- Requires 'root' privilege
- Blocks country based porn sites
- Blocks porn ads, spammers (Now Ongoing!)
- Block mature contents provided by search engines.
- Doesn't support browsers that provides their own host sources.
If you're a parent you can try this for your children!
NOTES :
-You can't use both the AdAway & PornAway, cause they both make changes of the host file, conflicts! Either use Pornaway to block porn sites or AdAway. Yeah I don't support ad blocking that much. You should uninstall AdAway(if you already have) before installing PornAway(You can keep both app installed).
How To Use :
- Read above 'Notes' first.
- Install PornAway , open it.
- Give root access.
- Press on 'Apply Porn Blocking' with data connection.
- After successfully applying, reboot your phone.
Mature-Safe Activation :
- PornAway now included with mature-safe hosts, if you don't even like safe-mature contents(ex. dating ads) then it is useful for you. It's already enabled by default for experimental purpose, but not recommend as it also removes appropriate ads, disable this hosts if you're already satisfied with porn,porn-ads blocking feature. To disable it in PornAway, go to 'Host Source' , then remove the tick from the first site in the list.
Changelog :
v1.0.2
- Hosts source fixed, replaced with a temporary source, works fine now. Will be updated with the genuine PornAway source later.
v1.0.1
- Extracted from latest AdAway 3.2, supports Nougat
- Extreme Mode enabled, helps to block any mature content provided by search engines.
- New Interface, material UI.
v1.0
-New Interface, material UI
- Initial release.
Download :
PornAway is now available in XDA-Lab! You can get download and sync with updates from XDA-Lab now.

Thanks ! And it is already country based, like mostly supports USA,UK,Canada and Asia. I m still working on it. Without root, it'd be possible, which can be done by a VPN service that blocks porn sites! Will keep your words in mind.
Make sure you have root access and uninstall any version of AdAway before you install PornAway , I've tested it on Marshmallow, Lollipop and CM13, works fine!

This can be happened because of issues in your system/ROM , cause the app fails to analyse data. This should be happened with many other app that analyse data. Try to upgrade your ROM.
Maybe you can post your hosts source as a file that can be used in other hosts managers.
The contrary is also true, antiad sources could be used in PornAway.
The "conflict" is just two hosts managers. If we have just one, hosts file will be smaller and both objectives could be achieved.

I understand what you meant, but I've mentioned it in the post, I don't support ad blocking that much, or I'd add an option to apply the ad blocker in PornAway. You're free to get advantages by yourself!

This guide will enhance your privacy and take your battery life to the next level.
We will be replacing Google Cloud Messaging and Play Services with microG which is an open-source alternative. It strips identifying data and only sends basic info such as account name to Google while anonymizing the rest. Privacy-caring users can reduce or monitor data that is sent to Google and users can expect some battery life improvements. Find more about it here.
1. Uninstall all Google apps from system except GooglePackageInstaller, GoogleExtServices & GoogleExtShare. Reboot. Make sure these apps have been removed:
Code:
Phonesky/Play Store
Google Services Framework
Gsmcore/Play Services
Velvet, Chrome, Youtube, Sync Adaptors, Backup Transport
All other pre-installed/downloaded Google Apps
2. Uninstall all Google Apps installed as user apps in Settings/Applications. At this point you should not have any Google applications installed.
3. Download microG Services Core & GsfProxy. Install them as user apps.
4. Now we need a Play Store. Install Fake Store from here to fulfill this requirement and use Yalp Store [ open-source Play Store ] for downloading applications.
5. You also need Signature Spoofing. Use either method below and reboot:
(a) If you have Xposed, use this module.
(b) If you are on Nougat and have a deodexed rom then use this guide to enable signature spoofing.
6. Go to Settings and grant all permissions to microG. Open microG and enable Google device registration & Cloud Messaging respectively. Use Self-Check to make sure everything looks good.
7. For location services to work with high accuracy, download an open-source location backend e.g Mozilla and enable it in microG Settings. Reboot.
8. Add a Google account through device settings.
9. Done! You can now install any applications [Google/Non-Google]
FAQs
Q. Why is it not working?
A. Are you sure you rebooted? Did you remove GAPPS? OK. Now, ask!

I have posted this after testing it for 2 weeks
as im not in one of those YT Kids app supported regions, i installed the app with APK (from apkmirror.com) and enjoyed it for over a year already.. however, today suddenly i realised that the app icon disappeared in my launcher drawer.. it was there a few hours ago and in between the period i didnt reboot the phone, didnt install or update any app, didnt touch any files in my phone..
i checked "/data/app" directory, and there was the "com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids-1" directory with all files intact.. i tried to re-install the apk and it went without any problem.. and there was a new "/data/app/com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids-2" directory created with all files same as the previous installation.. but the app icon just did not appear in the drawer..
i tried to switch to the stock launcher, and the app icon was still missing..
now im out of ideas for what could go wrong.. any suggestion for me?
tia..
Same thing happend to me (Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Stock 7.0), nu luck with previous versions of Youtube Kids either..
Same here. Galaxy S8. What has happened? Maybe recent Google instant app has something to do with it ?
Hi, same issue here on a Lenovo tablet and Galaxy S7, both running android 7.x. App appears to be gone from the app list and only by installing an app uninstaller i am able to remove it. Same problem when trying to install older versions of the YT Kids. I can install but i can't run it or see it in the app list.
On an older device runing kitkat the icon is still there with no problems, so i would guess this may be a new feature on the google services or so. They may now be enforcing regional limitations. Any info on that?
Unfortunately same thing here. Samsung tab A 2016 !
Same hete, but went here https://kids.youtube.com

it still redirects to play store, and thus app availability is still subject to regions..
I can only confirm the problem ( Galaxy A5 2017 running Nougat)
Seems like a server side or Nougat upgrade issue.
I have exactly same symptoms. app icon is missing, side-loaded app installs but does not register properly so it does not appear in app list, and can be uninstalled only with third party app (e.g. ES File explorer)
Hope there will be a solution to run YT Kids once again in regions where it's not officially supported.
Hopefully someone can make a modded apk version without a region check.

i dont think the check is done in the app itself, probably its done in the framework..
cos i have not updated the app, and suddenly it went from working to disappearance, so i guess something in the underlying google framework changed..
Okay, so maybe someone knows a simular app. I didn't found one yet, after ours of searching and installing
---------- Post added at 08:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 AM ----------
I installed a lot of different versions of yt kids and sometimes he wil open after installation and after a few second he stopps working. But the icon never apears from two weeks ago. The disapearing happend on the same day by my phone, from my wifes phone and my mother in laws phone?
Yeah, sad Google starts to execute regional restrictions more strictly. :crying:
The latest version 2.28.14 have new logo but won't run although it installs almost fine except no icon.
Therefore you should use 3rd party app to uninstall defunct app (e.g. ES File Explorer).
It seems it's gone for good. Check thread below:

Hello, here's the open source Chromium web browser. Can't find it in the play store due to it having nightly updates/builds. I will try my best to give a weekly updated build. Thanks and enjoy. Don't forget to hit the thanks[emoji106] button.
BIG THANKS TO @andDevW FOR THE APP THAT COMPILES IT FROM THE SOURCE AND TURNS IT INTO AN APK.
Chromium.apk 5/5/18 Download Link
Thanks for the shout-out.
Here's the direct link to my latest release APK: https://anddevw.com/assets/apk/getchromium/app-release.apk
The app is entirely open source so you can verify everything that it does and if you have any questions or issues, you can get help here.
Building Chromium from source requires more memory (8GB) than any current production Android device has, so I went with downloading the official Chromium Team release from Google's repository and unpacking and installing it. You can do the exact same process manually (if you have a good file manager like Amaze) by downloading the official latest build of Chromium for Android here https://download-chromium.appspot.com/dl/Android?type=snapshots, unzipping it and installing ChromePublic.apk.
I designed getChromium with developers and Debian users in mind, so updating is a deliberate user-initiated process, generally followed by revisiting chrome://flags and enabling new experimental features that weren't available in the previous build. There's no point in automating that, and anyone unfamiliar with this type of manual updating and enabling flags would probably be better served by *Google's Chrome Canary.
*For the record, Google released Chrome Canary for Android 6 months after I released getChromium.
can you please take a look at this Brave Browser issue especially the commit that fixes it , https://github.com/brave/browser-android-tabs/issues/167
it's literally identical to the one that affects Bromite where it request permissions on every boot up.
For those of you who have MyAndroidTools app on your phone, 1)open it 2)click on Services 3) click Third Party 4) Click Bromite 5) Disable ChromeBrowserSyncAdaptiveService and ChromeGcmListenerService 6)open your terminal emulator and type Reboot so as to skip the shutdown animation.
Enjoy without the nag for account permission ??
