[Q] Constant vibration

Hi everybody!
I checked through all threads here about my problem, but could not find a solution.
One day ago the battery of my tab ASUS TF700 fully drained.
So I connected the tab to the charger and in some time tried to turn on it.
Nothing happened, it just started vibrating constantly.
The only method helped me stop vibration is hard reboot (power + volume).
When I hold only power button it stops vibrating for a second, make short vibration, again pause and then starts vibrating.
Connection to the monitor by HDMI didn't show anything.
I didn't do any updates right before this accident.
No root, no unlocks etc.
Please help me, I am desperately frustrated.
PS. there are some old trends with the similar problems, but without solutions.

Can you boot into the bootloader?
Push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power. The tab should vibrate twice, let go when you see tiny script and three icons.
Push Volume Up with the RCK icon flashing. If you get an Android falling over with an exclamamtion mark, you're good: your stock recovery is working.
You probably corrupted your system when you let the tablet crash in the middle of something. If the stock recovery is still working you can re-flash the firmware. Let me know if you can get there and I'll tell you how.

Hi,berndblb!
Thanks for advise.
Unfortunately my asus doesn't stop vibrating when I push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power.
So there are two options:
1. If I push and hold Volume Down (left side of the rocker) and Power,
then it stops vibrating for a while, makes one short vibration and continues vibrating constantly without any interruptions.
2. If I push and hold Volume Up (right side of the rocker) and Power,
then it stops vibrating for a while, makes one short vibration and finanlly stops vibrating. One trick: I have to push and hold till the moment when the device makes one short vibration, and only after the moment when vibration stops finally I can release the buttons.
That is all I managed to discover pushing and holding buttons.
Sorry friend, I think your tablet is hosed....
Pushing Power and Volume Up (right side of the rocker) should get you into APX mode, which is usually the last thing working if everything else is messed up.
But even if you get to APX - it's useless unless your tablelt is unlocked and you previously created your device specific nvflash blobs.
I'm afraid a new main board is your only option....

I have finally won
The solution was simple:
1. I let the tablet vibrating till the battery totally discharged (it took the whole night).
2. Vibration of course stopped.
3. I charged the battery a little and switched on the tablet.
4. Tablet launched in normal regime, all data and system were saved, even after I tried to make a hard reset (I suspect it didn't work out).
After that it only once rebooted without any reason, but that's all.
So several days passed, the tablet works without any problems.

It is good to hear that you have your tf700 back....:good: Thanks for the report back...
BTW, are you going to unlock your device and generate the Nvflash blobs? If it occurred once, It could come back again and hope for lucks again... Just my two cents..

Honor 6x Microphone Muted in Bluetooth phone call

I love my Honor 6x, except I have this problem:
When I am in my car and my car's bluetooth is connected, and a phone call comes in, the car's bluetooth speaker rings the bell, and when I pickup (using the button on my car), I can hear the other party, but they can't hear me.
The bluetooth volume is at max. The car's bluetooth mute is unmuted.
This happens in all my cars so it is not the car's problem.
When this happens, switching back to earpiece or phone's speaker doesn't make any difference. The other party continues to not hear me.
Is there any place in the phone where I can mute/unmute bluetooth?
No, the bluetooth mute on the phone application does not have mute on. The calls work fine as long as I am not on bluetooth.
I have been trying to boot into Safe Mode to see if any app is causing it, but so far I haven't had any luck. I have tried the volume down method to no avail. The Honor 6x does not give any options when pressing Restart or Power Off to choose to boot in Safe Mode in next cycle.
Any help will be appreciated.
I have the same issue without any solution for the moment. Anybody have an Idea ? Thanks

Hi liko,
I was able to figure out my issue. It was an app.
I was able to boot it into SAFE MODE. In SAFE MODE the phone doesn't load the 3rd party apps, so you can find out if it is an app causing it or something wrong with your phone. Here are the instructions.
WARNING: all the icons will be shuffled around when you will come out of the SAFE MODE.
1. Power Off
2. Press the power button to turn ON.
3. Wait for honor logo to vanish.
4. As soon as it vanishes, press and hold the volume down button.
5. It should boot up in Safe Mode. You should see SAFE MODE written at the bottom left corner.
The key is to press and hold the volume down button AFTER the honor logo vanishes.
To come out of SAFE MODE simply restart your phone.

Help! Redmi Note 6 Pro Volume Bug

My Redmi Note 6 Pro keep turning the volume max constantly, even without me touching the phone. As for the volume buttons, I can only turn the volume down using the key, the volume up key doesnt seem to response. Can anyone tell me is this a software problem or a hardware one?
I am actually having the same issue. My volume sometimes randomly starts going all the way down, and only stops if I press the Volume Down Key.
The problem occured back when I had the stock ROM, then I flashed LineageOS 17.1 and the problem stopped for about 24 hours, and now it's back.
Does anyone know how to solve this, or how can I know if this is a hardware issue or a software one?

Android 11 suddenly unable to unlock screen via power button or change volume.

Hi, I started having the strangest issue 2 days ago. Phone model is Samsung Galaxy A50.
I have been unable to unlock my phone once I pressed the lock button or if it went to sleep (screen off).
The only way out of the issue is to restart it by pressing volume down and power for 5 seconds. I put the screen timeout to 10mins (which is the maximum). But no long term solution. Whenever the screen turns dark it stays dark. If a call comes in, the phone vibrates (or ring) but any interaction with the phone is impossible. If I play music, the music continues once the screen is off. The sound can be turned up or down, but it's the only thing that can be done.
While the screen is on, changing the volume via the buttons affects the actual volume of the music, but there is no UI indication that the volume changes, no popup nothing.
So all physical buttons are working correctly.
I have trie "reset parameters", I have tried "reset all data" (backed up everything through Smart Switch). It doesn't change a thing. The phone is reset (still on android 11 though, although I bought it on android 10...) but the issue remains.
Now something very interesting :
Just now, I setup Phone Link for windows 10, so that I am able to see and answer texts and phone calls while at the office. Which works, it sort of defeats the purpose of a "cellular" phone but well...
HOWEVER : while my phone is connected to my desktop through Phone Link. I can lock and unlock at will, change volume and see the UI pop up (via the windows interface or directly on the phone, same behaviour) It's basically fixed. I thought it was fixed for good, so I disconnected my phone from Phone Link. The screen went black as before and there was nothing I could do except reconnect it via Windows 10 (then it immediately starts behaving as usual again...).
My guess is it's definitely software. I just don't understand why a factory reset didn't do the trick...
I wanted to try and reset through the bootloader, but I never managed to effectively get into the bootloader (through volume up and power while the phone is off).
I do not recall making any updates or installing anything just before these symptoms occured. I did install a firmware update that was available after these symptoms started but to no avail
Has anybody seen this before ? Thanks in advance
