Need some help,I bricked my phone. charging and flash issues - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Last night I was in the process of flashing uk customized on my new xz and it failed. I had the software did not load error. I could not get the flash to go through so I used the xperia care repair phone. It got almost all the way through the process it got hung up at the end of the status bar. I let it sit there for over an hour and nothing happened. The led on phone is green. when i turn phone on it gives the dead phone screen. so i plug it in it shows the charging icon with the led blinking red. after 15 secs or so it turns back to green. When i started the whole process i had 100% battery. i left phone on charger when i went to work and still same result. i have spent countless hours searching xda and the internet with no solutions. any suggestions?

Power + vol up
Flashtool > flash rom Android 6
Android 7 system.sin not flashtool
Full wipe, no exclude

i couldn't get enough juice to use flash tool. i plugged xz into a different computer to trickle charge for an hour and half. phone booted up. not sure why the factory charger and the first pc wouldn't charge it after being on each for hours.

[Q] HELP

i think i bricked my phone i was flashing back to stock using rsd lite it failed and now it will only come on when plugged in and it says bootloader err: and the some numbers (ill post them later i left my phone at work) then battery low can not program i plugged it in all night same thing i gave my battery to a friend so he could charge ill get it back tomorrow hopefully it will let me program the only difference this time is that i got a new computer with win 7 before i was using xp and also i used rsd 4.9 before it was 4.6 please help!!!!
Your battery is probably too low to charge. Yes, that's possible. The phone tries to autoboot and then runs out of power before it can charge enough.
Try this: Plug in to usb/charger and hold volume up and camera while powering on to get to the bootloader then push power button. It may stay powered off and keep charging. Otherwise...
...watch the phone like a hawk while it's charging. Every time it starts trying to boot, pull the battery out and put it back. Do this for about 3 hours and then try RSD again.

[Q] [HELP] Moto G 1st Gen won't charge anymore

Hi all,
I had been lurking around here for a while. Let me give some background information. I had the Moto G 1st Gen for about 2 years now. A few months ago it suddenly soft bricked and I was able to get it working again after reading the posts here on how to load the firmware again. A few days ago it bricked again and I load up the firmware again. Until last night, it suddenly start lagging while I was using my apps. It took a while to load the UI as well. So I used some app and then exit out to the home screen, and let the screen lock by itself instead of me pressing the power button to close there were still 50% battery.
This morning I woke up to the battery drained out. I can no longer charge it. When I plug it in the outlet the LED light no longer flash 3x, it only flash 1x and that was it. I left it like that for half an hour and realize it's not charging at all (the plug is usually warm if it's charging). Power button trick didn't work, nothing worked. But the LED light does flash 1x every time I plug it in to wall charge. I know people say it need a higher voltage to get it powered up....I have been using a 5V-1A power output to charge my phone previously without problems. Usually when it drained out I plug it in, it will load to the white screen with a charging battery. Now it does nothing except just flash 1x when it detect the wall charger.
Anyone had this problem before and able to get it back up working? I'm afraid it's completely dead?

Xperia Z3 unable to charge - able to connect in flash mode - backup possible? wipe?

The problem:
My Z3 isn't charging at all, it's showing the charging screen and the red led is glowing for a few seconds, then it's turning off, showing the charging screen and the red led for a few seconds, turning off and repeats that without actually charging the phone. I can't turn it on, but I am able to get into flashmode by holding down the volume button and connecting it to my pc.
I already flashed the stock image. It's rooted and was running the latest official image. Locked Bootloader.
A few days ago it started changing the battery status every few minutes. Going from 12 to 50%, staying on it for a few minutes, going back to 20, to 6, just random numbers.
I used it today when it suddenly powered off. Despite being charged for one and a half hour in my car with the dock connector. Since then I am not able to turn it on or charge it.
What I already did:
Testing multiple chargers and cables, incl dock connector.
Tried to backup it with adb console, however it can't connect to my device. But I have zero experience with ADB, so I tried the flash tool from androxyde. It's connecting in flashmode and I was able to flash a stock image.
Am I able to backup the phone from the flashmode?
If not, am I able to wipe it so the service isn't able to view my personal data?
I hope somebody can help me :crying:
I was able to charge the phone now, I used both, the dock connector AND the USB connector cable. I don't know if it's damaging the battery but it seems to be broken anyway. Still giving out random numbers (was normal until it went past 10%, now it's jumping between 50% and the real number.
Sad thing is, I wiped all the data on the phone. Good thing is, if it wouldn't have turned on, nobody would be able to see my personal data.
It's time to give it to a service point I guess. I hope I get a new phone btw, seemed to have a faulty antenna as well the last weeks.

OnePlus One Charging and USB Issue

Hey guys, so I have a small problem. I used a Mi Bank (5200mAh) power bank to charge my OPO yesterday. It worked the day before. When I plugged it in yesterday, it charged for like 5 seconds and then wouldn't charge. So I tried a variety of other cables and chargers but none of them worked.
I turned the phone off and plugged it to charge, the charging battery icon would appear, disappear and then the phone would reboot to the charging screen and the cycle continued.
I then let the battery die and did a few power cycles and plugged the phone to charge while it was off. It started to charge and then fully charged. I used the phone till today and wanted to plug it in again. I charged it for around 20 minutes and it worked.
Now, I'm facing the same issue as yesterday.
Phone won't charge
Does not get detected in MTP or ADB mode, but DOES get detected in Fastboot mode.
Ampere shows the voltage as 3.7v, I recall the voltage being around 3.9-4.1v)
OTG also works. I connected a flash drive and it detected the source and I even watched a movie.
When I boot into recovery (TWRP 3.0.2.0) with the battery dead, and connected to the charger, the phone stays ON. I did a full Nandroid backup and a wipe and flashed another ROM as well and the phone stayed on, but as soon as the phone rebooted into the ROM and got to the boot animation, the phone shut down saying "battery low"
Not sure if it was a placebo effect or not, so I wrapped the phone in a dry towel and left it under my pillow for like 30 minutes and then plugged it to charge. It began to charge and after a full charge, I could use the phone without an issue so I proceeded to backup my data to the PC just in case I needed to perform a full wipe. About halfway through the copy process, the indicator light went off and the copy process got cancelled and the phone wouldn't show up in the PC again.
My question is, What is the culprit here?
Do I have to replace the entire motherboard?
Is it just a battery issue?
Is it a USB connector issue?
Any help with regard to this would be much appreciated

Duraforce E6560 boot loop

I've had this phone 3 years and it worked well. It's an unlocked ATT phone so no OTA updates other than the standard app updates. It's on Lollipop 5.1. Been working perfectly fine until yesterday, I was watching the CBS app, when the phone rebooted. Now it's stuck on a boot loop and initally went to optimizing apps which it rarely finishes but the times it does, the phone just powers off. It then got into another loop later last night where it'd get to the Kyocera logo then reboot over and over. I let it do that until the battery died 2.5 hours later. Then I kept attempting to boot until the batter was entirely drained to the point it wouldn't attempt to power up any more.(battery is not removable on this model). I've now charged it up, trying to enter recovery mode with power+volume down. That doesn't seem to register. Tried volume up+volume down+power with no effect. Now after charging, it will do the reboot loop mentioned earlier to the Kyocera logo. If I plug it into a charger, it will go to the optimizing apps portion and repeat the above. At the optimizing apps screen, if I unplug the charger, the phone powers off immediately. It appears to be holding a charge according to the charge indicator and the fact that I can try to boot over and over unplugged. Any suggestions? Phone wasn't dropped or damaged in anyway. Very weird what could have happened.
An update: Phone finally got past the "optimizing app" phase last night sitting on the charger. Out of no where the phone booted completely. However, it only works while plugged in. If I remove the charging cord, the phone shuts down after about 2 seconds. Booting without charging cord results in the same boot loop. I've considered the battery has failed however when plugging in the charger, battery shows 100% and it will decrease appropriately over time. I'm thinking there must be a hardware issues at this point. Somewhwere in the charging/power circuit. Any other suggestions?
Last update I guess. I was able to keep the phone up and booted as long as it was plugged into a wall charger. PC USB was not enough. I managed to grab my photos etc. thankfully. Factory reset the phone from the settings menu. Unplugged from charger, ran for about 2 minutes. Still said 99% charged, then went into boot loop again. Phone still shows near full charge if you let it run for awhile and decrements the charge state appropriately as time goes on. However, i guess this 3 year old phone is toast. No known reason for it to fail unfortunately. Thought I'd share the experience if anyone else has this issue.

I have the same exact problem. It started the crazy booting process in my pocket, and I did all the same things you did. Factory reset didn't correct the problem, so I'm think the battery has had a stroke. Sine your problem and my problem are very close to the same time frame, our phones are also probably about the same age, and its a quality control issue. Not bad quality control, just that these batteries were designed to last X number of months or cycles, and probably they died. Too bad, because my E6560 is the very best cell phone I have ever owned. Built like a tank and thank God for that.
