hey guys and moto experts..
device was on qualcomm mode.. i recover it by "blankflash_lollipop" unbrick tool..then flashed gpt and motoboot,
i used this fw's "XT1033_FALCON_ASIA_DS_5.1_LPB23.13-56_cid7_CFC.xml" gpt part,
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
then flashed recovery TWRP and used this ROM "XT1033_Retail_Asia_51_Untouched.zip" it worked..
but imei was 0.. so i used the fastboot erase all command and after that baseband is gone and device is not detecting the sim card..after that i used the Bootloader Brcik tool "Bootloader Bricker" and recovered again with "blankflash_lollipop"..but at this time not accepting any gpt part.. and gives error; version downgraded for primary_gpt
i tried these fw's gpt part..
BRASIL_XT1033_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid12_CFC.xml
XT1033_FALCON_RETBR_DS_5.1_LPB23.13-56_cid12_CFC.xml
XT1033_FALCON_AMXBR_DS_5.1_LPB23.13-56_cid12_CFC.xml

Could be two things:
1. You may need to flash gpt.bin from 4.3 (included in official 4.3 download) as this will create a new correctly sized partition table.
2. Make sure you use motorola fastboot to flash (known as mfastboot) and not the Google fastboot.
Not a problem. Download http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=14&file=124
And follow:
Code:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin #if this fails, ignore it and carry on
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
I have same problem too...any firmware I flash I get those " image is too big " errors and when I restart I am stuck at bootloader? any ideas?

Unfortunately i'm in the same boat, stuck at boot. Flashing different zips doenst seem to help. I think the partition has changed since the 4.4.4 OTA from 4.4.2 on the GPE. It's impossible to flash a different rom at the moment. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.
Yes ...I read the same thing in several places...it has to do something with that gpe firmwares partition.....anyone have any idea how to fix this please?
same problem here. I was able to fix my phone partially with
1, factory reset in recovery (twrp)
2, adb Cyanogen rom
3, fixing reception with
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
using gpe 4,4 fsg
Can you explain that in "noob language " please ? ...did you managed to flash official firmware after that?
Is fastboot mode available? If yes then you could just either 'dd' them or flash via fastboot, starting with sys partition. Don't touch the efs.
I have a motog xt1033, and I'm trying to catch my android bricked, but after flashing each command as recommended, all give as "Failed <Remote Failure>" , I tried with various stocks and all give so if anyone can help me I will be very grateful !!
I was told it was because I have not unlocked bootloader, well, I try to unlock, but after flashing the command "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" the following error appears "(bootloader) Could Not get unlock".
device only starts in fastboot mode
Bootloadar: Blocked
make sure you flash:
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img

Happened to me once did this got it to work
Hi had a moto g xt1039 on 4.4.4 yesterday finally got the official 5.0.1 update however my phone is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked. So I got the official stock from for my phone checked it and the cid number too. Followed the instructions on here to flash the rom back on. This all worked and a clean install was done. After a few apps updated the lollipop update message appeared again so downloaded and installed it however during the install it errored, restarted and once I was back on the phone dashboard it said an error occurred no changes made. The bootloader is still unlocked. Could this be the issue? If so how do you relock or what could cause the install error issue?
Many thanks
update so far while waiting for someone to help fix this current issue i have done some research on how to lock the boot loader. I found a guide on here to do so and the commands within mfastboot was as follows:
fastboot oem lock begin
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot oem lock
So i executed this and now the problem is after restarting the phone the screen is stuck on the warning boot loader unlocked screen and wont move. Te phone still can boot into boot loader and communicates with the pc.
So i re flashed the firmware with the original guide ( without the fastboot oem lock) but still stuck on the boot loader unlock screen. Do i have to input a command to unlock the boot loader again?
Need this sorting asap as its my only phone for communication and i currently don't have a functioning phone.
Many Thanks
Unlocked Bootloader is not the reason for your original issue. I have never 'relocked.'
Download the XT1039 Fastboot Firmware image here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61445658&postcount=654Use mfastboot to flash the files: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567719065
TIP: Do not include the follow command for your own safety: mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img

When you flash the firmware image - what is happening? Provide a log (copy and paste fastboot screen)

When I try to downgrade the xt1032 version 4.4.4 us retail But the same thing happens in the version of brazil
The amazing thing is that the retail 5.0.2 xt1032 us not give me error in any of the commands but whatever the Moto g remains in bootloop
Unlocking Bootloader can sometimes resolve the 'Preflash validation' error. Corrupt emmc is the likely cause of your problems and probably unsolvable at this time. You can however - unlock bootloader - boot into TWRP (fastboot boot twrp.img) and try flashing a custom ROM zip.

I get that twrp.img is not a recognized command
Copy and paste fully any fastboot errors. Latest version of TWRP is here:

Guys I've Moto G XT1033 and i've been trying to flash it's stock firmware because it was bricked 3 days ago.....I tried different Firmwares...4.4.4,5.0.2 and 5.1.0 but it doesn't work.....at the starting when I use command "mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin" I'm getting few error like "Version downgraded for primary_gpt" and while using this command "mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img" i'm getting this error "version downgraded for tz".......Plz help me
How to add attachments??
resurrecting your device depends on how badly you've bricked it.
how did you brick it in the first place?
just ignore the bootloader and gpt image, its due to the Downgrade you can follow this instructions
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502&page=64
which work fine on your falcon.
