I like the look, especially with the blue Pixel...
Love the feel, provides decent grip without flipping my pockets inside out...
Hate the buttons, it kinda feels like a pile of mashed potatoes on top of your buttons.
Honestly, for the price, I feel the buttons should be a lot better.
I do feel the case will provide adequate protection in case of a drop and will probably keep it until I find something else (or Best Buy gets something else in to exchange it for).

A pile of mashed potatoes? Mine felt like I was trying to compress a rock ha. Buttons were wayyyyy to stiff, even after a week of usage trying to loosen them up
Yeah love the case other than the freaking buttons are so hard to press. They could have just had cut outs around the buttons instead.
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Mine are hard to get the button to respond but feel really soft, like I'm pressing through a pile of mashed potatoes.. lol.
It's like they're soft, but too much throw to hit the button.

I took mine off and had a neo hybrid one for a bit which has amazing buttons... Had a Ghostek Cloak on for a couple days... Then picked up a Google silicone one from best buy and fell in love. You can tell it's made by the phone designer, it fits so perfect and it's like the buttons aren't even there, feels just like a regular buttons

I just got my go-to in the mail today, Poetic Affinity. Buttons are awesome on it, as usual.

Grabbed this case when I picked up my phone from Best Buy. The case feels nice and definitely inspires confidence that it could weather a decent drop onto a hard surface, but two major gripes I had with the case caused me to swap it out for something else. One is that it makes the phone a little too wide for my hands. I don't have huge hands, but everyone's different and it's definitely not Tech21's fault lol. The second is that the power button was ridiculously hard to press for no reason. That right there is basically a dealbreaker.
I too scooped up the Grey Silicone/PolyCarb Google case and like it a lot better. It doesn't offer nearly as much protection except from minor bumps and scrapes, but it fits my hand perfectly, offers better grip and the buttons give a nice tactile click. I also got the white Pixel XL, which I didn't really want to get but that's all they had, so now I have a nice grey case to cover up at least most of the phone.
Crap, I have the Spigen crystal clear case and was planing on getting the Tech21 for it's drop protection, but i don't want to give up the button feeling. With the spigen case the buttons still feel clicky.
Could you cut the button covers out on the Tech21 case and still be able to use them?

I wouldn't try it. The bumper that goes around the perimeter of the phone is simply too thick. If you were to cut the buttons out you wouldn't be able to touch the buttons. They'd be too deep into the case.
Just a warning, that WHITE version will look like literal **** after months of use from everyday dirt/grime. The case turns brown.

But then again, I don't want to spend to much. I want a stylish case. any recommendation?
neo hybrid is probably one of the more stylish cases (though costs $30)

It is like you buy insurance, if you know when you will drop it, there is nothing to talk about, but $20-30 to protect your $600-700 investment I think really is worth it.
Check out the Poetic Atmosphere case, here's my review on it

It's a nice looking case and it's cheap too.
Sent from Flip's S4
I've been through two feature phones and three smart phones and I never used a case until this one. For previous phones I would at most put a skin on them. I dropped my last two phones (Palm Pre and Nexus S) from ~2 feet a few times and each time it landed on a corner. No major damage, just scuff marks. The reports across the web are that the S4 doesn't hold up too well in comparison to other phones when dropped. The screen runs right to the corner which makes me worry. That plus the phone being so much larger (and harder to hold on to) made me decide to go for a case. I went with the Spigen Neo Hybrid, and I think it's great. Doesn't add much thickness, looks great and should protect the phone.
If you're looking for something stylish, I'd recommend either Verus Oneye - http://www.zoarah.com/by-brand/verus/#ty%3Bpagination_contents%3B%2Fby-brand%2Fverus%2Fpage-2%2F
Or
Spigen Slim Armor - http://www.spigen.com/galaxy-s4-case-slim-armor.html
Or If you dont mind a big case(with better protection), a Trident Aegis - http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/samsung-galaxy-iv-i9505/aegis-case-samsung-galaxy-iv-i9505.aspx
Today I went shopping for alternatives while waiting for the Spigen Neo Hybrid I ordered from across the atlantic, and stumbled across Samsungs own Protective Cover +. I had no idea what I was buying, but thought it could be worth the 20 bucks. Turns out it's actually a pretty solid case, with a sturdy polycarbonate back and what looks like TPU all around the sides. It even has holes on one of the corners to fit wrist straps and such.
I'm not a big fan of the grey TPU for the white version, but other than that I'm really impressed. Despite its name it's probably no more protective than a basic TPU shell though, in particular because it doesn't add more than a millimeter height to the edge of the screen.

Maybe a slim back cover is your like, covers are form-fitting snap-on covers that protect your cell phone without adding a lot of bulk, have openings for camera, volume/ side buttons, headset, charger jack and kickstand which allows access to all phone functions.
Nope, they aren't worth it when there is need for cheap Black Market spare parts.
Not a case man either but this case made me keep the S4. lol As far as being worth it ummm yea it's a 500 + phone. Only takes one drunk night. hehe
I love skins for my devices. It gives them a custom look while preventing scratches. That is why I jumped at the chance to receive a free EXO skin of my choice. They have quite a variety to choose from on their site. For me, it always comes down the the wood designs, this time I chose the wood grain bubinga. The skin itself also has a slight texture with the wood grain that is a wonderful added touch that makes it feel more true to life. I love dark wood looks, as I currently have a skinomi wood grain skin on my Asus Transformer Prime tablet and keyboard dock.
This is the first skin that I have ever applied with a hot air dryer, and it certainly helps form the skin to the back cover. However, the skin isn't perfect in it's coverage of the back. I lined up the camera, flash, and speaker holes perfectly. What was left was slightly off for the outer edge of the skin. The right side was too close to the edge, while there was still some white showing on the left side. It's not too bad since its barely a millimeter off, but it is definitely something that I noticed.
The rest of the skin went on smoothly, but I was surprised to notice that mine did not come with the home button piece. I most likely wouldn't have kept the piece on anyway depending on if it caused issues with the fingerprint scanner since I use it daily. The sides have stayed in place pretty well over the past few days without any movement or peeling of the edges. Another thing that is slightly off is the top edge of the screen cover. I have the speaker, camera, and sensors aligned properly, but the notification LED cutout is a little lower than where the light is.
The skin itself isn't too thick, but it does make swiping the fingerprint sensor a tiny bit more difficult. I was even able to put a case back on over the skin, albeit with a little difficulty. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the skin, and look forward to more skin choices from EXO skins in the future. Here's hoping this review fixes the slight errors on the back, as well as possibly introducing more wood grain choices.

I really wonder how it would look like when you use skin with wireless charger backcover... (it's a bit thicker than normal backcover) anyway thanks for the review, looking to buy one of these also... Any recommendations for the brand? (currently what I found is exo skin and slickwraps)

That's what I would like to know since I wouldn't be able to get a case that works with the wireless back.
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I had one similar (Skinomi) and it doesn't quite fit the wireless back.
The sides are fine but it has trouble covering the corners, they "scrunch" so it's not an even/smooth fit. If you cut slits you maybe able to get it to fit.
I should add that because the sides are ridged and not smooth the side stickers have trouble staying in place if rubbed too much. Particularly around the top/bottom.
-Airax
thanks for the info... i guess i wont be buying it... gosh i hate how wireless charging backcover doesnt have any case >.>
Wow I would probably not have the patience to apply it so gingerly with hair dryers and it would be skewed!
Thanks for the review.
Everyone has their own taste. But yuck.
Reminds me of Walmart furniture with plastic stickon woodgrain.
Did anyone test this case, it looks nice. Just like spigen cases.

It looks like a spitting image of a Spigen case. It does look nice just wonder how much bulk it adds, I know I sound like a broken record but I do not like cases that add too much bulk.
I have a Spigen case for my Nexus 5, and it is very nice but adds a lot of bulk.

yea i agree with this i had a spigen neohybrid for nexus 5 made it thick. and since its not rounded like the case in the back you lose the functionality of the rounded back where you can tip the phone one way or another for the display when its on its back. but i like it too.

The case is freaking awesome. By far the best case I've ever bought for any phone. I would post pics but damn Tapatalk won't let me.

I bought one, we will see how she goes. Looks badass though.
I also picked one up on amazon yesterday. Will post some pics once it arrives.
Got the case
I got the case in blue. The price is right for sure. I actually love the case because it makes it angled and square. The buttons on the side feel awesome to click now too. The cons are that after two days of having it in my pocket the outside blue plastic corners are picking up the black from my pockets. That's the only issue really, my headphones and charger fit perfectly on it and it feels snug, there is a slight bend in the rubber at the top but NBD. Also, the plastic outside is mat, not shiny though the pictures would have you believe otherwise. Let me know if anyone else wants detail or pics.
how thick does it make the phone?
anyone try the BRILA cases also?
I am getting my replacement today... I will post some pix
eh, mine comes tomorrow lol impatient
size
About 1.5cm, still fits in my pocket, all good. Gonna pick up a darker colour one today because the blue edges are turning dark.

I like the case too but leather... I wish some well known brand release something to US!!!
This company is legit. I got a replaced back for the color because it got messed up. They were super cool about it.
"I went ahead and included the Shadow Blue case for you, thinking that this color might wear the best. We hope that our effort to assist you shows that we care about you and if you can send us a quick note when you receive the package, that will be much appreciated. Thank you very much, Matt, and please have a wonderful evening!"
These guys have my respect.
I got this case on amazon for $10.99. It comes with a mediocre screen protector.
The case itself is extremely light and fits around the phone securely. It covers every edge which is nice for these light shell cases. The design is similar to OEM look.
The feel is a little slick but better than the phone metal body. I wish it were more rubbery like other slim cases I've had before.
The case I got was gold.

I have the clear one. Love it. It's the only super slim case case I could find that covers all sides and provides a small lip for face down lay on the table protection.
Edit: the black one has a soft touch feel BTW. I have that one on my M8.[emoji16]

Thanks! That's good to know. I was debating on whether to get black or gold and just randomly chose gold.
I wish the screen protector it came with was larger. It doesn't cover the entire surface and it's a weird size in that it doesnt fit the actual screen part of the phone either.

So true! I've placed many screen protectors on phones over the years and this one was by far the worst. It just didn't fit right at all I had to trash it. But it was free so I can't complain too much. I prefer glass ones now anyway.
URL for the case:
http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Screen...429212145&sr=8-3&keywords=ringke+slim+case+m9
I had gotten the clear one, but I don't recommend it. The cutout for the camera flash is too close, and since the case is clear, the flash will reflect and cause a glare in your photos. The black and gold ones probably don't have this problem though.
Looks really sleek and I kinda like the gold one however it does look like the Huawei Mate 7. Have held this phone with this case and it sure was very light and slim. I agree that it would've been better if the feel is a little more rubbery because I am not that comfortable holding the phone with that case.
I bought this case last month when the phone first came out. I bought the clear one and it was very slim and looked very sharp. This past weekend while walking through a parking lot I went to pull my phone out of my pocket and literally threw it up in the air and it took about a 6 foot bounce off the pavement. The corner of the Ringke case is broken off but there isn't one scratch on my phone.
Now you expect a giant brick of a case like the otterbox to survive these types of falls but I don't expect an Ultra thin case to survive and I was very impressed it was able to protect my phone. Its a good case.
I would'nt had bought this case if I knew it was this slippery lol
I have one in clear and like the way it does not add bulk to the phone at all. You feel like you are holding just the phone and the clear case really shows off the two tone.
So I recently decided that even though my S7 is my daily driver, I wanted a nice leather case for my Note 4. I've actually looked for leather cases for the Note 4 since I got it back in October of 2014, but I could never find anything good. Recently though, I've found the Pierre Cardin leather case, and I really like it a lot!
They say it's genuine leather; it feels really good in the hand. It's not too slippery, and it's not to stiff. Protection wise, it's nothing special because it's one of those cases you just slip the phone into that doesn't have top/bottom protection. For me, though, I'm really careful with my phones so I don't need/want a lot of bulk. This case is thick enough and covers the corners enough that I'm sure if it dropped, it would still be ok. All access to the ports/s-pen work fine.

The stitching on the back looks cool; it's a very bright brown almost white stitching that runs up and down the back, and around the camera. The brand name Pierre Cardin is punched into the back at the bottom, along with a logo.
There is a nice small lip that runs around the bezel so that you can easily put the phone face down without having to worry.
The cutouts on the side for power and volume are shaped well and easily accessible.
All in all, this is a really cool case. It feels nice, it fits the phone nice, and I think it's gonna be the case I'm going to keep on the note for a while! Mine is the brown color, which as you can see in pics isn't as super bright as the pics on amazon. The red is also REALLY nice; I actually got the red for my mom's Note 5 which I'll be doing a review soon for as well...but I think I might end up doing the red for my GS7!

Looks nice but I prefer to have a case that offers better protection than that.
I'm using this case for about 6 months now. While it's a great case and adds to the look, it is sensitive to heat - the edges where the leather meets the satin-like insides tend to come off if your phone heats up (optimizing 350 apps after flashing Xposed or playing a demanding game...). The colour of the leather also tends to get darker, though it doesn't look bad at all even when it gets dark.
The case is essentially a plastic inner with leather-like outer and satin-like soft inner material, so it won't stand much of a fall - I managed to drop the phone once, and the bottom right corner of the case is now broken.
Also, the heart rate sensor seems to have a problem with this case, the readings or erratic with it on (or I have too big a finger than what this case expects!).
All of that said, I'll definitely recommend this case - I got it from Amazon.in for about $13.50 (~INR 900), but considering that it looks like it won't last a year for me, I'd pick it for ~INR 500 if it comes on an offer/ discount.
