I dont know if you still need this, but running the following command after putting your phone in fastboot mode:
fastboot carrier erase
might help you.

That 'fastboot erase carrier' command did the trick on my moto g 3rd edititon. Thanks!

US Cellular Moto Maxx XT1250 Bootloader Unlock

Hope this isn't a redundant question, but I've looked in a lot of places and can't find any information...
When I get into bootloader and fastboot oem get_unlock_data it just sits and says <waiting for device >. Does the US Cellular ROM do the same as the Verizon XT1254 in keeping the bootloader locked?
My personal phone is a Nexus 6 and I've been doing this for years, but just got this one for my mother.
THANKS :fingers-crossed:
Did you check "allow usb debugging" after unlocking developer options? I had to do this before it would recognise it in bootloader on my PC. Easiest way to check is to enter "fastboot devices" to verify that it's actually reading your phone as connected

Did you make sure you have the correct drivers downloaded
OOPS
Yes, I had Android Debugging enabled and the adb command worked fine and I was able to adb reboot bootloader.
When I checked in fastboot devices it wasn't showing up, so EUREKA it worked when I installed the 2.5.4 version of Motorola Device Manger.
I thought since it worked fine on my Nexus 6, which is a Motorola phone, that it would work on the Moto Max -- but NO.
THANKS for the quick reply and restating the obvious was QUITE helpful! Haha
UNLOCKED -- TWRP and Marshmallow here I come!

Phone unusable!

Hi guys, I am facing a lot of issues after the marshmallow update on moto G3, locked and unrooted. The thing that triggered this was one day when my internal memory got full, it rebooted. And since then i have faced unbelievable number of issues. No notifications, quick access not working, home n recent buttons not working, incoming call getting rejected and lots of other issues. When i try to enable developer settings and tap build number multiple number of times, nothing happens. No matter how much i try, i am not able to enable developer settings. USB debugging is not working of course and computer won’t recognise the phone, not even in mtp mode. Since quicksettings/notification pulldown is not working, there is no way to change it to MTP mode.
Further, when i go to backup and reset in settings, i see that that the reset option is grayed out. When i try to go to recovery to hard reset, it won’t go to the recovery, just stays on that stupid ‘no input’ screen despite pressing power and volume up key together. I am out of options and since the usb debugging is not working i dunno what more i can do to salvage the phone! Please help me if you can…

Thanks for searching the commands, but sadly it won't work since the debugging is not on. As i mentioned in the OP, adb is not able to see the device. I could just flash the os again if fastboot commands were working! I am still this problem coz fastboot is useless as i am not able to turn on debugging.

Ok let me give u a liitle background to make u understand the exact situation. When the issue began about 3 weeks back, the 1st thing i thought of doing was to connect it to my computer and reflash the firmware from lost101's thread. However, i realised that adb was not able to see my device. All the commands that u mentioned are not working....
Sorry thought you were saying only adb didn't work

Hi again,
I tried your version but I get the following error:
BROM ERROR : S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005)
Tried the general fixes of this error but no help. Also, I used the latest SP Flash Tool from the official website and another ROM and it worked (only without battery).
I'll try on a different computer with your downloads to see if I get the same result.

This means that the device will try to turn it on, not start flash mode.
First, charge the battery.
Do not use the latest flashtoolt, use what i've shown, the older version!!
Reinstall the drivers, use another cable.
The firmware is working, I've used it many times! :good:

Unfortunately I do not know how to work this way with adb / fastboot.
I did not have to use it yet.
If you do not start the system to do a hard reset, it will surely be good afterwards.
After the hard reset, the first start is 15-20 minutes, just wait patiently.
I will also make a video about the installation, I hope it will help.

Moto G7 Power won't boot. Bricked?

So after I installed the Official Android 10 GSI just out of curiousity, it worked and the only reason I didn't stay with it was because it didnt have the new gestures and no lockscreen options. Everything else worked amazingly.
At this point I just wanted to install LineageOS and root but the phone kept rebooting to TWRP over and over no matter what I'd flash and no matter how many times I wiped it kept rebooting until it eventually got no response at all.
I tried everything restoring back up nothing, when I tried just flashing the zip file the recovery screen just kept flashing then rebooted back. I cannot save this for life of me I am left with a paperweight.
Ive tried the classic Moto G force restart trick but no luck in anything. No matter what I tried now it wont respond to any button presses. Am I just screwed? I'm waiting 24 hours before trying again while plugged in. What am i to do?

Phone bricked , stuck in bootloop

Hi guys,
I have this phone (european dual sim version) and tried to update it via Newflasher. Now the phone doesnt start anymore, it is stuck in bootloop, just says sony and then it says that my phone is corrupt and it will not boot. I dont have enough battery to repair it via Companion. Is there any way to avoid going to the Sony Service?
I should mention that I tried to flash firmware 58.0.A.22.21 Europe Customized EEA. What should I flash to get it to start? Any idea is welcome.
Thank you.

For your information, I have been dealing with a bootloop the last few days. I have now just tried a new USB cable with a new USB port (not the official Sony cable) and have fixed my issues. Perhaps you could give that a try as well.

I used the "fastboot devices" command and it worked, it showed me serial number of the phone. So it seems to be connected. But it doesnt want to change the boot partition. .... As for the cable, I first used a very old usb to usb c cable. Then I used one from my iqos charger. Because my laptop doesnt have a usb C port. So you really think the cable could f..k up things while flashing?? Should I try and find another one in the house maybe and try again?

Your ADB might be out of date and not have the A/B partition fastboot commands. Try updating through instructions here:
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
I never thought a USB cable would be the issue either, but I tried a new USB port and quality cable and suddenly everything works fine.
Also confirm you're using newflasher to flash the correct firmware for your model. When I flashed the XQ-AS72 firmware on my XQ-AS52 I experienced bootloops like what you're experiencing.
If you still have issues, you can boot to recovery with these instructions and select "power off". You should be able to charge your phone to 80% to use the xperia companion app. https://www.mobilereset99.com/hard-reset-sony-xperia-1-ii/

Give your phone a charge and give the Xperia companion app a try.
If you use the included charger and cable, it will charge faster than it drains even if you leave it in bootloop. But you can also try powering down using recovery options.
Let me know if that works.

Give your phone a charge and give the Xperia companion app a try.
If you use the included charger and cable, it will charge faster than it drains even if you leave it in bootloop. But you can also try powering down using recovery options.
Let me know if that works.

The issues is that I cannot enter the Recovery and see the options. So you are sayng that even if when I plug it in it keeps saying my phone is corrupt, it still charges?

It should charge. You should be able to hold volume down on boot (green light top corner, black screen will happen) and try an xperia companion app restore by following the repair options (select "My device is not detected by computer". It should be charging as it restores from your computer as well.
