Hello, hope I'm posting in the correct place as I've searched everywhere and cannot find a similar issue or a resolution. I tried to update my Alcatel One Touch A571VL (A570BL/A571C), the update presumably failed, after I updated the phone merely restarted as normal, there was no hang or bootloader logo to show an update taking place and the speed at which it restarted didn't match that of a phone loading a new ROM. Minutes after that, I got a message that persists in my notification bar that tells me my SIM card is invalid and that my phone is locked and when I open my task manager, it shows that system update is always running and I cannot force close it or disable it. The bootloader is not unlockable on this phone whatsoever, how would i reinstall the lasted stock rim?

Hi all,
As per my username, I'm not technically minded, so please accept my apologies in advance if I'm a bit slow on the uptake. I've just restored my phone back to stock through "mfastboot" as advised on another thread. Following this, I updated my phone to the latest version. I'm trying now to encrypt my phone through settings -> security, When I press to encrypt it, it asks for my pin and then there's a picture of an android with a green outline which appears for a brief second before the phone reboots itself. Nothing that I can see has changed.
Can anyone tell me what I can try?
Thanks
your recovery is stock?

It's not, it's TWRP. Is that the reason why?
Hi, I'm still rather new to this and I was trying to root my HTC desire 600c . When I went to start up my phone is gets stuck on the screen with htc's brand name and below it in red text it says "this build is for development purposes only do not distridute outside of htc without htc's written permission. failure to comply may lead to legal action".
when it first did this i thought it would just take awhile to load, i waited for 30 minutes.
I've tried many things:
clearing all caches
redoing the rooting process in the above url
redownloading the files, double checking everything
factory reset. Please help me guys.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You probably need to flash the stock firmware at this point. See if something in here helps, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374813 Also see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-desire-c Someone in that forum can help you further.

here is my problem, I work as a sysadmin however my knowledge of Linux (android) is sort of limited compared to windows.
I recently was brought an ACER Iconia B1-720 which has gotten infected with a seemingly vey harsh strain of virus, it keeps popping up lock screens, and if the tablet connects to internet the AD spam is massive.
trying to do a factory reset, didn't help, nor a hard reset since after the initial setup all the infected software is there.
also the USB debugging option is nowhere to be seen on the settings menu, and APPs don't have the uninstall button, thus after taking into consideration all this, I have gotten to the conclusion my best bet is to sideload from the PC into the tablet a recovery firmware using ADB, however ADB is not recognizing the tablet when I type "adb devices" and thus I m left at a lost of what should I do to recover this tablet into working condition.
can someone please advice me on what to do? or how I could restore the tablet? is there any sort of command line or software I could install in the tablet to manage and clean it manually?
I managed to disable most of the crapware and make the table usable WITHOUT internet connection, so I m assuming I can use the SD card to load some app into it to fix it manually, what app could I use?
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Try looking through this thread and posting your question there, if it won't let you post it will be because you need to make 10 posts before you can post in a development thread. You need your stock firmware if it is in that thread among the variants of your model.

To get your 10 posts in you can go to one of the Off-Topic(OT) Forum linked below. Choose one the threads there to make your 10 posts then go post your issue in the first thread I linked you to.

Hi guys
My story is funny. I was on the subway listening to something via streaming. Because my internet connection was bad i decided to restart my phone. While it was restarting I put it in my pocket as i had to get of the train. I pick it up again and I get a white screen with the message:
software status: modified
locked
security warning
and other details
I contact htc support and they say they can t help because they say that some one tried to root my phone!
now I am stuck with a phone that apparently is useless.
I found a file named 0p6bimg on the net which apparently is called a ruu file and might help to re install android but each time I try to download it winzip says it is corrupted.
I am located in sweden if that is of any importance.
hope someone can help.
Thanks guys

Hi,
i'm running Android 2.3.7. on my Sony Xperia S LT26i, and despite all the advice and directions i've gotten here (Installing flashtool and downloading the jellybean firmware and following all the step by step guides) it still doesn't seem to work.
My phone responds to NOTHING i've done so far exepting for 2 things...
1. Kingroot no longer pops up when i launch a new app. I think i have successfully disabled it. But i'm still unable to update the binary for Supersu, so it still isn't working like i suspect it should.
2. My phone shut down and refused to switch back on for about 3hrs or more.
One thing noteworthy thing is that Flashtool will not recognize the Jellybean firmware i downloaded from the links i get here, or any other firmware i found for my phone and downloaded. Even though i put it in the c/flashtool/firmware folder as instructed.
Please help me.
