It is too late because I had finished updating.
Tomorrow I will have it rooted and post the files that you need.
(Now it's 22PM in Vietnam and my windows computer and laptop are at my office).

The OTA file is inside the hidden folder HwOUC\ on internal sdcard ( sdcard\HwOUC\ )
You can navigate to it with file explorers like Total Commander. (even with ADP Plugin from Your PC)
And copy the update.app to external SD or PC when download is finished and the systems asks to intall.
Maybe the next OTA user could catch it for us.

Can anyone tell me if there is any problem in upgrading to B212 while on KangVip?

You can not OTA update to B212 if your while on KangVip because KangVip rom was initially rooted.
You have to get back to stock B211 before OTA update to B212.

I had forgotten that detail.

And you have to have STOCK RECOVERY installed.

Well even then, it depends on your IMEI.
i feel they deliver it to 703 devices with IMEI on devices, which were delivered to Asian market.
Or did anyone in Europe and converted 701 or 702 model get it?

But we do nothing with this incremental update.zip

I set device to B112 stock. Dload to B211.
OTA to 212. OK
But then I tried to install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Device hangs on "Honor"
Does it need a newer Supersu, oder do I need the systemless root method via terminal in TRWP

Try superSu v2.67 with the systemless root method via terminal in TRWP. That is what I did to root my X2.

Thank you. I tried first the newest version 2.78 without success .
Maybe the app must be installed before the TWRP install.
I followed your advise to take the older version on https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960690845
With command in TWRP terminal
echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu
(with no blanks)
and install of 2.67 I got it rooted. Thank you again.
This is successfull installation for B212 via OTA on GEM 701 converted to 703
---------- Post added at 11:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:46 PM ----------
We should also write here, that B212 for 703 does not include Google Playstore.
But you can download it via the Huawei Browser and install it.
Then you will have access to all of your apps.
Where is the option to acitvate the higher sceen resolution?
And AJ wrote that there is more space on SD available. I still see 26.6 G for internal SD. So where is the difference?
As described GPS becomes gray on GoogleMaps after a while, if you don't navigate.
Any advantages I have not detected yet?

I think wlan is improved on 212.
I get between 40 and 50 MBIT/s on 2.4 Ghz now even in old lollipop mode (setting I developer options).
How can I disable mipop in 212?

I got update supersu binary message today.
It did not work to update it within the supersu.app.
I tried to update manually higher versions. This did not work.
I lost root and even with reinstalling 2.67 in TWRP , I coud not get root root again.
So I installed the TWRP unroot script from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63615067&postcount=2459
Then I extracted boot.img from B212 update.app (included in OTA update.zip) and flashed it via adb in bootloade mode
I upload it for usage if anyone needs it B212 boot.img
Not needed for this process but maybe interesting for to to have recovery.img for B212
Then I installed Supersu 2.67 again and started system.
Via playstore I had to install superSu App again and it started sucessfully.
It offered to update bianry and THEN IT WORKED.

How did you set Google services in B212?

Just download playstore via browser. Install includes the google services

You didn't get this OTA because it has not pushed yet, a few testers have it and it seems one of them had kindly uploaded for us to manually install.
Wiping cache sometimes helps prevent issues after flashing a new firmware. You need to hold down power up while restarting the phone to access the menu that allows this.
+whatsapp problem is fixed

I love this update. It make my p8max very smooth and very fast and battery better
Double click is fantastic
I have P8 Max ... DAV-701LV100R001C199B002
I downloaded the "update.zip" file from the Google Drive link.
It was an 88.4 MB file.
I tried to update via local update as you mentioned above.
The phone restarted and the update process started.
At 3% or so it failed with a message that the update is incomplete.
The phone restarted and I am still on B002.
Is there a way to update my phone to B023 first so that I can update it to B026 then???

I don't have GEM-701L so I can't be sure the following method will work. I took the method from GEM-703L owners but it worked on my own GEM-702L so if you want to try do it at your own risk and make sure you've your full backups including the stock RECOVERY.img of your GEM-701L current ROM.
1) Download "X2_TWRP_CN_kangvip.rar" from https://yadi.sk/d/5YI63uiAhz5UD/Recovery/TWRP
2) Go into bootloader - check and ensure that your bootloader is UNLOCKED.
3) Make sure you've a backup of your stock RECOVERY.img of your GEM-701L ROM
4) After your bootloader is unlocked, using fastboot enter "fastboot flash recovery twrp_cn.img" where the "twrp_cn.img" is from the .RAR file you downloaded in (1) above
5) Reboot the phone
6) Copy the "Beta-SuperSU-v2.49.zip" file into the root of your phone's internal SD
7) Reboot into custom recovery mode and install the zip file in (6) above
8) If successful, after reboot your phone is already rooted.

Unfortunately if you wish to root then you can't avoid affecting some part of the stock ROM.
totally agreed, actually I want to root just to force the preferred network to LTE only which is not available in android 5.0, while you can select LTE only in mate 7 (4.4.2 as well 5.1.1 )
This method isn't working for the 701 (tried it today).
I assume, the 701-owner need another TRWP-Image
Has somebody a backupded recovery.img from a stock 701?

Which part isn't working ? The custom recovery or the SuperSU install ?
You can extract the stock 701 recovery.IMG from the stock 701 ROM file.
The custom recovery part. I'm able to install, but it isn't possible to boot into recovery (it reboots again).
Thank you for the info about extracting the recovery.img from the stock 701 rom file... i will give it a try.

You may wish to try another alternative custome recovery by "cofface". He specifically created it for X2 (GEM-703L) for Android 5.0.5. This is not the same as the kangVIP custom recovery but I myself was able to reboot into it for GEM-702L but not sure whether it can work on your GEM-701L.

With my other mobile with TWRP I was able to interpret the buttons I had to press... Root is working now!
Curious: It wasn' t necessary to do a wipe, factory reset or something like that.
Unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP is working anyway.

Yes this is Chinese custom recovery.
Go to: https://yadi.sk/d/5YI63uiAhz5UD/Recovery/TWRP/theme
download 1 of the 3 zip files (1 will do you choose your preferred theme color)
rename this as ui.zip
In your internal SD there is a folder TWRP. Create a subfolder named "theme" and place the ui.zip inside "theme" subfolder.
When you next reboot into TWRP you should see English menus.
Great.
With the first file it looks like this
but it's ok for me. One nasty thing: with this design you can't see a swype-to-unlock-button in recovery. But with a little searching you are able to unlock it.
Thanks a lot, this helps a lot of german x2 owner!

Guys, here is the ZIP to update via TWRP,
https://mega.nz/#!wA8C3RJJ
is the backup of my entire system, it contains boot, recovery (stock) and system partitions, it's safe to flash due I made a full wipe of the system before doing this backup. Should be easy to update as a piece of cake.
Copy the uncompressed file to the root of your MicroSD card should be something like TWRP/backups
1. Reboot into TWRP
2. cancel if ask for code
3. Don't allow system modifications
4. MAKE YOUR OWN BACKUP just in case
5. Optional, erase data, always is good a fresh install
6. Go to Restore
7. Select system and boot.
8. Reboot and enjoy

Now I can take the partitions with root and terminals or TWRP. Your call.

Uhm.... I'm not sure you have well understood what I mean...
If you are still STOCK and update to Nougat, remaining STOCK yet, (only unlocked bootloader is needed I think...) and before flashing TWRP and/or obtaining root, you can boot on TWRP without flashing it.
If you do so, you can take a full stock boot, with (original) /recovery too and with untouched /boot & /system...
Was it already clear?

Flash Systemless Root on Moto Z (Retail Unlocked) - Nougat 7.0 Using Magisk

With the help of another user on here (Thanks @estanenmi) I successfully flashed systemless root on my Moto Z (Unlocked Retail US) using Magisk
This guide assumes that:
Your device is running stock OS with latest firmware Blur_Version24.21.46 (Android 7.0 Nougat)
Your device has stock recovery, no modification to system at all.
You have a MicroSD Card inserted in your device
Download TWRP from TWRP website https://dl.twrp.me/griffin/twrp-3.0.2-0-griffin.img.html
Download Magisk v9 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Download phh superuser from http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/magisk-phh-s-superuser-android-pay-t3435921
Copy Magisk and phh Superuser zip files to the root of your MicroSD
Flash TWRP using fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-griffin.img from command prompt or just boot TWRP using fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-0-griffin.img
Select RECOVERY MODE from Fastboot
When prompted to enter password to decrypt, select Cancel.
When prompted, select Keep Read Only.
Tap Install then select Magisk v9 zip from the external MicroSD Card
From Install select Phh Superuser zip from the external MicroSD Card
Reboot!
Download phh superuser app from the Play Store
i followed all the steps but no root

Easy Flash to Nougat tutorial:
Prerequisites:
Download RSD lite XML to Batch Script from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24651430732235266
Download ROGERS_MPL24.246-45 from https://mega.nz/#!nssGEDiT!hhLkcTM106hmqbH_fiWfAytEV-fgdlYOhUwpcd_sGJY
Download Nougat firmware from https://mega.nz/#!608HGYqB!kKTc1196PhimDtVte6OdCWF6aXSWGSNLToEkvUePymE
Steps:
Unpack RSDLite XML to Batch Script to a folder on your computer
Unpack Rogers 24.246-45 firmware to the SAME folder
Run 2-rsd-flash-flashfile-windows.bat
Batch File #2 will convert the flashfile.xml file (included in Rogers zip) to a Batch file
Run flashfile.bat which will flash the Rogers firmware to your device (WILL WIPE EVERYTHING EXCEPT MICRO SD CARD)
Wait till its done!
Your device should now have Rogers 24.246-45 Firmware.
From the Bootloader, select Recovery Mode.
Select ADB Sideload
Unpack the Blur_Version24.21.46 zip file.
From an adb capable command prompt, enter ADB Sideload <name and location of Nougat.zip> (minus the <> obviously)
This will take time. Leave it alone!

Still running encrypted sadly. Couldn't ever figure out how to psych my boot image myself. Usually just flashed a different kernel but haven't seen one that works for nougat yet

I did it and I have root, but I want to make some exceptions. I use the twrp backup of the system file of my post, you can find it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3510790
Also, if you are stock with unlocked bootloader and you want to keep your recovery you don't have to flash the TWRP recovery, just boot it and follow your steps and you will be root ASAP.
Thank you

You shouldn't have any issues then. DO you get an error when you try to flash Magisk or PHH SuperUser? Does it boot but you're just not rooted? Did you download the PHH Super User app after flashing the Zip? I need more info about your situation.

[STF-L09C432] How to install Oreo on your H9

So when it comes to the newly released EMUI8 for Honor 9 things get a little bit tricky, as we don't have any official update for our region yet (only for C900 and AL variants - chinese).
Every file i provided have been built during the way finding how stuff works on oreo - and alot of stuff changed EDIT: Official update is out for C432 - i recommend to not use the provided TWRP for daily, reliable usage.
PART 1
0. download the B360a zip from my mega folder
1. read README.txt from fw zip and follow the steps carefully (easy install)
2. have fun with official oreo
Rollback instructions
1. copy the rollback zip and nocheck recovery (!!oreo version!!) to the root of your MicroSD card
2. enable usb debugging in developer options
3. connect your phone to your computer, start an adb shell and issue the following commands:
Code:
dd if=/storage/sdcard1/STF_RECOVERY_OREO_NoCheck.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery_ramdisk
dd if=/storage/sdcard1/STF_RECOVERY_OREO_NoCheck.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/erecovery_ramdisk
echo --update_package=/sdcard/update_rollback_al10c00b190.zip > /cache/recovery/command
4. last but not least reboot recovery, again in adb shell:
Code:
reboot recovery
5. your device should start to flash a chinese version of nougat (EMUI 5.1)
hint: if you get an error during the installation, just press the reboot button, it still boots.
device crashes during boot? do a low-level data partition format, boot into erecovery when you get asked to.
6. prepare the MicroSD (8gb atleast, exFAT formatted)
download the C432 firmware and extract it
copy the dload folder you extracted to the root of your MicroSD
7. if required unlock your bootloader
8. flash the nocheck recovery (nougat version) to recovery and recovery2 partition using fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash recovery STF_RECOVERY_NoCheck.img
fastboot flash recovery2 STF_RECOVERY_NoCheck.img
9. boot your device into force dload mode (keep vol+, vol- and power pressed until the installation starts)
10. you should boot into a fresh L09C432B100 installation
I've uploaded every file you need for the process to mega.nz - please do not mirror any of the stuff provided!

Huge thanks to @LastStandingDroid for providing the modified SuperSU installation package.
Best Regards,
OldDroid
To fix the file manager, open your root file explorer and follow the steps carefully:
1. create a folder called "normal" in /cust/hw
2. create a second folder in the previously created one, name it "app"
3. now move HwCloudDrive_Local folder from /cust/hw/eu/app to /cust/hw/normal/app
4. reboot
Thank you!
I'll try it!

Hi! And first of all, thanks a lot for this guide as you just gave hopeless H9 owners a bit of light...
Now I haven't gone through the process yet but I got a bit confused as of part.3 (that is recommended but not needed), should we unroot BEFORE flashing Ramdisk and Recovery Ramdisk? I then have an old UnSu script by Osmosis, would it work or the "Full Unroot" option from the SuperSu app is okay?
Thanks in advance for your reply and Thanks again for this guide!! Cheers
