Should be simple, your device should show up on the list of cast screen devices after a while, it doesnt pop up immediately like a chromecast but if you wait a while it should pop up on the list, I dont own an ezcast but I do have a chromecast and a chinese tv box, the chrome cast is detected immiediately while the tv box takes about a minute before it shows up on the list

Miracast screen mirroring cast does not work

New and need help please. I have not been able to get the screen casting o mirroring to work with my NVIDEA Shield Tablet WI-FI. I had Android 5.1.1. and now have 6.0 and no change. I am able to pair the two Android devices and both say connected but when I press Cast it has never indicated any available devices. Is it not able to Cast to another Android device? I am trying to screen cast to the Epson Movario BT-200 glasses which has Android 4.0.1 but also Miracast. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.4 inch is able to screen mirror to the Epson glasses but it gets a bit laggy. So I thought the NVIDEA Shield tablet would have more power but I am not able to get the Tablet to recognize the glasses in Screen Cast even though it does recognize and even connect to the glasses over WIFI. Have tried 2.4 GHz, 5GHz, and Auto band modes. Unfortunatly there is no Android update for Epson BT-200 glasses and likely never will be. I have rooted all devices and have tried about 7 different screen mirroring apps. (Epson Glasses do not allow Google Play store without rooting and some apps won't load).
Any advice welcome. I don't mind spending the time trying. I am not really smart but I was able to get my Shield tablet out of a boot loop by flashing new .img over USB from my PC through DOS command prompts, so I can usually figure it out with time.
Miracast hasn't worked on my original shield tablet since 5.0 update. I had used a Belkin to miracast, it's firmware is current and works with W8 and W10, and several older Android devices...I think it really only casts to Google cast devices now!

Fire tv remote?

Hi, I've read that the fire tv remote can be paired to work with the shield but if one does so will it still work with the fire tv? Thanks.

Hi yes it does work. Just go to Bluetooth settings and when it asks you to put it in pairing mode hold down the home button on the fire TV remote.
Yes it will still work with the fire TV/stick but if the fire device is in sleep mode on the second TV then it'll wake.
Sometimes it may need to be re-paired with each device after you use it with the other device

I tried doing that today and had no luck. I heard that firmware updates to the fire TV blocked the remote from connecting to 3rd party devices

Automatically Connect to Chromecast and Cast Whole screen

Hey All,
I do alot of presentations and show video clips using my phone and a projector. What I do is Cast my Screen. Every once in a while the chromecast disconnects.
So i was wondering if there is an app or a custom script that can check every 5 minutes to see if the phone is connected to a chromecast and casting the whole screen. If it is not connected then it will connect and cast the screen automatically.
So is something like this possible?

Cast Netflix to another Android Device

We're getting ready for a significant road trip (approx 4500 miles over 14 days) with the 2 kiddos. We're looking to use my LG Gpad X8.3 tablet for my kids to watch movies and TV shows in the car. I figure it would be easier to cast videos from the Netflix app on my wife's phone to the tablet, like a Chromecast, so she can control it from the front seat. However, I can't figure out how to cast shows from Netflix to another Android device without casting the entire screen. I have the Cast Receiver app installed on the tablet, which Google Home recognizes as a "Chromecast", but the Netflix app doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions on other ways to accomplish this?
The tablet is rooted and running Android 5.0.1, FWIW.

Miracast shows neighbours

I am using miracast for quiet some time with my LG tv. Works mostly perfectly, but my issue is the tv of my neighbours. My miracast automatically tries to connect to a tv, if there is only one showing up. because my tv is slower hardware-wise, it does not always appear as fast as the neighbour's, which is why miracast sometimes tries to connect to my neighbour's tv automatically. I don't want this to happen.
My idea is, if it was possible to do either one of those:
1.block my neighbour's tv from showing
or
2.only allow connection to mine
My S7 is rooted and using superman rom
PS: English is not my native language so pls forgive mistakes in my sentences or odd describing.

I'm having the same problem now. I can cast to my neighbor's LG TV and another neighbor's Roku, as well as my own Samsung TV. I have an up-to-date Windows 10 desktop computer.
