As soon as I flash the rom in twrp there are two errors saying "E: unknown command" and on the contrary the rom flashed just fine, and when the phone starts the lockscreen pops up and then boom! It again reboots and the cycle is recurring ?

Hi all, some background on what's happening. I have multi-rom installed so i have their version of TWRP. I tried to "swap roms" when I installed the new Lollipop because it worked fine so I wanted to make it my primary. Something wonky happened after that. When I booted into Lollipop now it wouldn't start and it stayed on the "upgrading apps" screen for about half an hr. I rebooted and nothing but bootloops...So i wiped the rom, and flashed it fresh...stuck on "installing zip" for 20 mins so I rebooted of course. NOW, it says "E: unable to mount /system".
However, it did let me flash the rom in the secondary slot and I am back into Lollipop but it won't let me flash specific items such as the kernel needed to run L. Constantly says unable to mount/system in TWRP. Some zips flash, some don't. How can I get this back to normal? I may be able to survive with what I have here but clearly this is not a long term fix. How do I remount system?? Helpppp please!
I've just finished flashing the stock motorola 4.4.4 EU rom and updating it after using CM 12 and having it become very unstable on my device due to the recent nightlies. I downloaded the official ota update to 5.0.2 the system reboots into TWRP (Version 2.8.5.0) and displays:
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/cache/Blur_Version.210.12.40.falcon_umts. EURetail.en.EU.zip;
E: Error installing zip file '/cache/Blur_Version.210.12.40.falcon_umts.EURetail.en.EU.zip'
As soon as i select reboot into system, the boot loads fine and stays on for a while, but then automatically restarts to attempt the install again. Im assuming this error is because I'm running a custom recovery, but any help would be great! I know exactly where the zip is on my phone storage too, so would it be a matter of installing manual (however when I checked it displayed a message saying it could be incompatible and render my device unstable, and I really dont want to have to reinstall the rom again.
Also I have not updated to a custom boot loader, its running the kitkat boot loader from motorola.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I tried to update my moms OPO but when I downloaded it through settings and after reboot and some time it showed only - error word and that's all. Then I tried to use cyanogen update tracker to download the zip of the update and then update it through recovery. When I went to the recovery and started the update after some time it showed me e: failed to load /sideload/package.zip and there's was something more but I don't remember what.
Successful installation, however OS failed to boot.
OS is installed in an empty partition. After successfully installing, I restarted through 'advanced startup', then 'use a device', pressed Android-OS.
Through GRUB, I tried x86-android but that failed after 'Android_#'; laptop's stuck in a frozen terminal. Also tried x86-android nomodset, but that caused the screen to glitch blue.
The nightly kernels I've tried booting were the 7th July and 9th July updates
Bump
