Hi all.
I'm using wonderful Nova Launcher and today I created shortcut to "bluetooth setting". But all I get is "permission denied". Any solution to give Nova Launcher this permission? I am using Galaxy s7 rooted.
Any help appreciated.

I got launcher pro installed as a system app with proper permissions and it runs fine.
Only problem is that if you try to change the dock shortcut or add an application shortcut via the widgets menu, it will FC.
Any one get LP working 100%, am i missing some libraries or a different install procedure?

I am having the same problem with ADW Launcher
Same problem with LauncherPro on rooted Nook Tablet. Can add widgets with no problem, but selecting "Shortcuts" immediately brings up error window. This pretty much makes the launcher app worthless.

I'm new on here, so hope I'm not posting in the wrong place!
I have a problem with nova launcher: everytime I wanted to create a folder shortcut, I just had to go on ES file explorer, long tap on the folder and then select "create desktop shortcut" and here it was on the desktop.
That's what I'm still doing now, with nova launcher installed, but no folder appears! the only way to see the shortcut created is to select the original launcher (touch wiz) form the settings!
there's a way to bypass the problem?

Yea, the same thing happens to me. I guess Nova Launcher doesn't support that. I tried Root Explorer also and they went to TW home also.

ES File Explorer and Nov Launcher recently updated, and the previous action of long press on a file and send to desktop has been eliminated. I emailed Nove Launcher but no response to date. They will have to send out fix for this. One can long press on the desktop and see a menu that includes shortcuts, but no way to for example place a PDF in ES File Explorer on your desktop from there. If there is a way, it is not intuitively obvious.

Solution to the Nova Launcher shortcut problem. Download from the Net Nova Launcher 2.0.1.apk. When installed, it replaces the current version. The long press - send to desktop function is restored. We will need to await a fix of the new version in the meantime.

I'm trying to have a shortcut in Pie to load the Next Launcher App Drawer but can't manage to have it working.
I tried to use Tasker with info found in the Catlog but I'm too newbie...
Does someone have a tip or could help ?

Nope. There's one more. ME! Some people do it with a tasker shortcut. Maybe we can request the dev to add a Next app drawer option just liek there is for the nova, Holo and apex lauchers.

Hey guys, I was trying to use my good old pal Nova launcher on my Poco f2 pro (stock, not rooted) and ran into some problems. In order to enable "double tap to sleep" function, I need to enable accessibility service for Nova launcher. It works perfectly, until I clear my recent apps. Then it asks me to enable accessibility service again, but it's already enabled in settings. I tried enabling/disabling the service and it does not make any difference. When I reboot my phone, the service is off and I can enable it and use the double tap, again, until I clear my recent apps... I removed any kind of optimisation for Nova and I'm out of ideas? Any suggestions how to make it work?

Hey, thanks for suggestion, I haven't thought about autostart! it's been around 24 hours and it's still working, so I assume the issue is fixed! Thanks man!:good:

Same (or similar) issue with Stock Android 11 and Nova Launcher and Smart Launcher.
Cannot access 'recent apps'
on poco f 2 pro with miui12 /A11...
...the problem of missing taskmanager was fixed after installing last poco app update v 19!
...nova gesture problem is solved after installing app "fluid navigation gesture pro"!
...nova launcher can now be selected as the system launcher without getting more problems if last poco app was installed too.
