I got launcher pro installed as a system app with proper permissions and it runs fine.
Only problem is that if you try to change the dock shortcut or add an application shortcut via the widgets menu, it will FC.
Any one get LP working 100%, am i missing some libraries or a different install procedure?

Same problem with LauncherPro on rooted Nook Tablet. Can add widgets with no problem, but selecting "Shortcuts" immediately brings up error window. This pretty much makes the launcher app worthless.

On KK roms I've been using app "Tile icon Maker" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tileiconmaker), where I had more than 20 widgets placed on nova Launcher homescreen... and it looked beautiful.
then I installed CrDroid 5.02, I can make the same look, but after some time Nova Launcher starts to report errors that widgets stopped working. So I had to delete the widgets/tiles and deinstall the app. It looks like some kind of memory problem?
The app itself is no longer supported.
Does anyone know of a similar app?
I don't want to migrate to some of the available W7 launchers, because Nova is the best.

I'm using wonderful Nova Launcher and today I created shortcut to "bluetooth setting". But all I get is "permission denied". Any solution to give Nova Launcher this permission? I am using Galaxy s7 rooted.
Any help appreciated.
I have the same problem.
I have installed and configured the Nova Launcher, primer version, and everything looks fine but the phone keeps resetting to the default launcher.
I have tried changing the default launcher in EMUI and from the settings in Nova Launcher, but it always goes back to the default launcher after a while.
Is anyone else experiencing the same annoying issue? If yes, any suggestions on how to permantly fixed this?
i had the exact same issue when i first installed Nova. So i uninstalled it(just Nova, not Prime) and reinstalled and all is good.
Only if I have some live wallpaper set up and I uninstall it. Then the Nova will crash and emui resets back to original launcher

I'm using nova from the beginning and no issues at all.
I think I've read somewhere that you cannot use Huawei's widget along with nova launcher.
So maybe remove any widget that came with Huawei? Including the time widget.

After Updated to android 11 i am facing the problem for switching Home Launcher. Whenever I try to install the NOVA Launcher At the end of installation, a message box popped out stating "App is not installed". After several tries and re-downloaded and still the same issue.
Before updating (on Android 10) my default launcher was NOVA Launcher Prime, but after update it change to Oneplus Launcher and the NOVA launcher was missing from my App drawer and also in Apps. Please help me to solve the problem.
You could try the Nova Launcher 7 beta, it has some improvements specific to Android 11 :

They're in the Changelogs channel. I'm on Nova 7.0.24, it's had some improvements specific to gesture navigation.
If I remember rightly you need to click certain emojis to unlock channel access when you first visit. Presumably to stop bot flooding.

Is it possible that you may have some residual files from previous install? That may prevent installing nova launcher. Like other reply, I would recommend searching for nova beta version. It feels a little smoother than the stable version on Android 11.
