i tried by clicking full unroot option but it says failed

Do you have a twrp backup from prior to rooting, if so restore only system and boot, wipe caches and reboot.

Uninstall Superuser?

So I decided to go back to stock hoping to get OTAs. I was on stock rooted and used ODIN to flash stock unrooted as per the directions in the sticky thread in Android Development. I restarted the phone and superuser is still there. Did I fail to unroot? Also, will this affect my ability to get OTA if it is unrooted?

You could uninstall the .apk itself / or delete with root explorer

You did something wrong, or somehow restored it, or maybe you flashed Root66 or an already rooted image by accident, because if you restored to completely stock, unrooted image through Odin, it basically overwrites the entire /system partition (operating system), there should be no apps or anything left that was custom installed. Before you did this though, you should have gone into recovery and wiped cache and data (make sure you backup all your data because wiping data will delete all your data on the phone and all your market apps too, except for your external/internal sdcard data). Anyway, flashing through Odin completely wipes your /system partition, so it would be impossible to have anything lingering from before. What this means is that you either installed the wrong image through Odin and it's still rooted, or you didn't wipe data before flashing and Superuser must have been installed as a user app then. Do a factory wipe (after backing up data you want to keep), then reflash stock rom again.
Why the hell would you ever accept a ota? A dev will base a ROM on whatever ota you feel you need if there is not one already, without shady Verizon crap. Your asking for trouble

[Q]Can I do factory reset after rooting my pad

Can I do a factory reset after I have rooted my pad?
Will it work right? Would I get an official update?
Rooted by debugfs
yes and yes. Keep your root by installing superSU, opening it, then running voodoo, and backing up your root. Might as well do the JB update first, then factory restore, then download and run superSU and voodoo again and restore root.

[Q] Wipe date (reset) after JB Update?

I need a help from anyone,please...
I've succesfully updated to JB (vie OTA).But i want to setup clean JB,then i want to do a factory reset
or wipe dalvik-cashe-data on my Tablet.
If i do so-do i loose root? (it was saved with OTAKeeper befor update to JB and restored after that
without problems).Or do i lose OTA keeper (or backups from Keeper) to restore root after wipe all??
Please suggest me, i'm very curious about that and want to make all right
from the Beginning...
Thanks in advance,
Val
Just forget-i have root but not modified bootloader.

You can do factory reset and still have root. Make sure you do a full backup first with Tibu.

These are the steps I took.
1. Make sure you Install and use SuperSU
2. Install Voodoo OTA root keeper. Make a backup
3. Factory reset
4. Install super SU from market
5. Install vodoo from the market.
6. restore root in voodoo
7. open supersu
Might be an easier way to do it, but that gave me no problems."
Thank you very much for your answer!
I will do exactly so as you said!!

[Q] lost root access

Somewhere along the way I lost root access. I have tried all options that I can come up with
1. Reinstall su.zip still get an error trying to update binary
2. Full factory reset/wipe reinstall ROM, gapps and su.zip, still not fixed.
I also get errors trying to backup current ROM. I am assuming this is due to not having root access.
Please help.

OTA XNPH30O Root Issues

Hello Everyone,
I have been having weird issues with root on the latest OTA update. After the update, I found that I lost root and so installed the SuperSu using TWRP recovery again. However, could not get root access back. Tried this like 3-4 times but still didn't work.
After that I took a nandroid backup (didn't have any backup till now) and wiped the cache and data. And after reboot I get root but if I restore the data partition from the nandroid backup, root is lost again.
Now I want root but don't want to get rid of the data.
Also, if its useful anyhow, in the superuser app - under su binary v2.00 "-rwxr-xr-x" is red, "root root" is green and "/system/xbin/su" is green.
Anyhelp will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Well, best way to root would be solid in losing the data and unlocking the bootloader, guaranteed to wipe you data. I'd copy your sdcard to your pc then copy it back after rooting.
You can head to the dev section to find a root and there is a method actually where they say you don't lose data; you can check that out.
Have you tried flashing SuperSU via TWRP instead and letting it update the binaries?
