Suddenly, Lookout identified what it thinks to be "riskware" on my never-rooted Lenovo YT3-850L YOGA Tablet running Android 5.1.1. Not only can it not delete the referenced file, it doesn't say WHERE it's located and I can't find it or any references to "Base.apk" on Google. Attached are screen captures.
Anyone? Thanks
FWIW: The fourth image briefly flashes an "Uninstall" botton when I rotate my tablet before reverting to the "VIEW DETAILS" button. The switch happens too fast to capture, much less allow me to click on "Uninstall" though I suspect could I do so I'd get the same "no can" error message. It may be worth noting that one week ago Lookout was "not compatible" with my Yoga Tablet. An email to Lookout produced a quick response and I was then able to install Lookout from the play store.

I Rooted CleanRom Inheritance 3.4.6-10.4.4.25/US ODEX and about an hour after I got a screen pop-up asking me what prog I wanted to use. I had no idea what was going on in the background to require it. I kept randomly getting them and got pissed so I selected a file manager. Sure enough, there were pics of whatever I had on the screen.
Any ideas what would be causing this?
While it isn't critical it sure is annoying.
Yep I have searched the thread to no avail. Did I miss it?
**Critical info**
I have disabled the "recently used" long press function in the ASUS Customized setting area. I can use the pwr/down vol to take one.
There is nothing on the top of my tablet to cause it by inadvertently pressing the buttons.
It happens randomly regardless of what I am doing and regardless of whether or not I am docked (I have the ASUS OEM dock).
Thanks all,

Have you by chance installed any rogue apps? Making intermittent screenshots is a known feature of malware hoping to catch your login details for websites and bank accounts and so on. I'm definitely not saying this is what is going on on your 700, but it might just be the case. Standing in your shoes, I'd wipe completely clean and start over. I do that for my Flashing OCD every once in a while anyway.
Hmm..
It would appear that Lookout had some sort of virus. I DL'd it from Google Play and it immediately popped the "choose application" screen with this:
I found this great free app called Lookout. You should download it for your phone! xxxx://bit.ly/XxXXXx (I deleted the URL info to prevent someone from clicking it)
Went with Avast now.
So...wtf? Is there a virus/bug out there that modifies Lookout?
@Marty
Thx man. I followed your advice and was able to find it that way. When I reDL'd it popped the notification and I used Evernote to figure it out.

Well, more info...
It is still happening but, only when docked on the keyboard.
It happens randomly still and, happens when the tab (docked) sits for a while. The "select prog for..." screen pops up and I select evernote to verify.
It wouldn't still happen with a complete wipe and reinstall would it?
Has anyone else had this happen with CR.I.?
hmm...

Hi, my Asus Infinity don't update aplications. It shows me there are updates, but don't download. Any Ideas? Thanks.
You probably haven't got auto-update enabled.
You can just go to the play store, open 'my apps' (the arrow pointing at a line in the top right corner) and either manually update each one or hit update all.
Or open settings (in the play store) and check 'auto update'.
Keep in mind that some apps can't update automatically, like the Twitter app.

Thank, But I can see the updates. Select them, but, the download doesn't start. Neither of my apps are updating.
Do you specifically click 'update' after selecting the app? (It's next to the 'uninstall' button)
On which ROM are you? I had this on a clean CROMI-X install a few days ago. Rebooted, worked fine afterwards.
I'm on stock. The Play Store download one app, install, then continues showing the message "installing ... app". What can it be?
Hi,
Firstly, I have an Optimus L7 and everytime I am using the google browser app, doesnt matter what site i am on, a message pops up on the screen over and over again saying 'Security Warning There are problems with the security certificate for this site'. Three option buttons are underneath saying 'go back', 'View Certificate' and 'Continue'. Pressing 'go back' takes me back to the previous page and pressing 'continue' either makes the security warning message pop up again or lets me continue on the web page i was on, but i'm quickly shown the same security warning message again. I've never had any issues before with this google app until a few days ago. How do i fix this problem? Can u help?
Secondly, every time i click into goodle play store app, it says 'no connection' with a button underneath saying 'retry'. I have the data enabled turned on, and the internet is running when i click into google browser app, so i dont understand how or why it wont connect, note that this started happening the same time the first problem above started happening..... what can i do? please help...
does anyone have some actual expert advice????
how long do i have to wait for a response?
How long does it take to get an answer on these forum things? I dont have a clue what i am doing on these sites and i need help quickly... this is just wasting my time i guess
My G Flex 2 is rooted and I have uninstalled or frozen all of the AT&T and quite a few of the LG apps that were present on the phone. I followed a 'safe to freeze' list I found online and the phone is running perfectly, battery life is stellar.
I did notice though that I can no longer automatically answer the phone by bringing it up to my ear. I checked the Gestures section and found some missing options (see screenshot). What could cause this? Did I disable something I shouldn't have?
I've tried to find an 'Answer Me' APK online so I can simply reinstall this feature but was unsuccessful. Might anyone either have the APK to share or guide me in unfreezing something that I froze in error?
Thanks folks
The answer me app has a red phone icon, it should be at the top of Titanium backup's list, so it's pretty hard to miss...If it's not there because you uninstalled it, you could just reflash the system image for your version...
Lenovo A7-40 multiuser/restricted profile - "app is not installed" for every app
Hi everybody,
for mentioned tablet with Android 4.4.2 I installed CWM (which gets always deleted after reboot) and rooted the tablet in order to activate multiuser/multiprofile. This worked out so I could set fw.max_users = 4.
Since the tablet is used by our little daughter I installed Kids Place in order to restrict as much as possible. Unfortunately booting into "safe mode" bypasses kids place completely and provides full access to everything (she found out by accident). So I tried to get rid of this problem by trying to create a restricted profile which did not work since the installation did not finish normally and for all assigned apps I get the information "app is not installed" (while it is shown and can be clicked on).
So I tried to setup a second complete user. But same problem here: Installation did not finish normally (also black screen and running circle forever) and afterwards none of the shown apps can be started from homescreen (while I could start playstore from within settings/apps menu): Message: "app is not installed".
Does anybody have any idea how to get this topic solved? Either by preventing the safe mode being able to be used without kids place or by creating a restricted profile which works as expected?
Many thanks in advance!
Bye
