Android Security Patch is updated to June 1, 2017.

patch came through 6/29/2017.
update went smooth. Everything seems stable.

I googled the "System Enhancements" and there were no documented enhancements posted . . .
Can anyone identify any known enhancements?

Hi all. This update from T-Mobile is causing serious MODEM problem to my S7 Edge G935T, I can't get any access to internet over LTE. Only Wi-Fi i can used, PICTURE message is problem. I call T-Mobile and they say Samsung didn't test the update so now a lot of S7 Edge user have to go best buy Samsung store for them to downgrade the software.

I have downgrade it my self, when 7 different security patch back, even to ANDROID 6.0 the problem still persist.
Normally used the U FIRMWARE with T-Mobile CP for better speeds. Now I'm running more test, I did standard T-Mobile update from software version 4BQB1, so far I'm updating my apps only on LTE, looks good now. Will see what happens in a few hours.

Just bought my S7E used and ran this latest OTA update... it sent me into boot loops that persisted through multiple master reset, cache clearing etc. even in safe mode. Used Odin to roll back to the C1 update and all is good. Will probably try to update again this weekend.

Has anyone else spotted anything new?

I have noticed that the backgrounds have changed wallpapers for the Always on Display.
Neat enhancement if you use this feature.
Has anyone else spotted anything new?

Boy do I feel stupid going through all the hassle to "softtware convert" it to a TA-1025 to get Oreo Beta a while back.
I bought into the rumors about not getting Oreo too hard.

Is this via an OTA? Have you done anything to the phone or is it just like you've taken it out of the box? I haven't received the update yet. Also what country are you in? I'm in Australia. Hopefully I get the update, even though nokia tech said I wouldnt out of the region

It's via OTA. I'm in Taiwan and I haven't done anything to my phone yet. I did read on other forum that some people haven't received yet, maybe it just need a few days to receive.

Yep I just checked and Android Oreo OTA is here! Woohooo

TA1000 got it too via OTA. Working fine, feels snappier. But the app to add more languages crashes (locale more pro) so I'm stuck with English for now which is not a big deal though.

Try to clean data for this app (locale more pro) in apps admin. The best is to make a hard reset after the phone have been updated to Oreo.

I think the official Android 8.0 ota update killed my recovery. There simply just is a broken robot saying "no command" where the recovery used to be. GD Nokia bs phone.

When you see no command there in recovery
Hit power button and volume up button together, just hit, donot hold it
U will find the recovery mode

Btw, after Oreo update you have problem with notifications? Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Whatsapp give me notification only after I open them.

Get OTA Updates Quicker (Savage VPN Method)

P.S
- OTA are not targeted to regions. You will be installing EXACTLY the same thing you wait 2-3 days more for. So why not install it now?!
- You do not have to stay connected to the VPN to download. You can disconnect IMMEDIATELY the update is found.
- If you have Root. Only download FULL OTA updates and look at other Root threads on how to handle Root with TWRP or Magisk and what not.
- If you need a VPN Solution, you can always use it. If you need more time, Simply Click. 'GET MORE TIME'.

No need to start a VPN everytime you want to check for a new update. This app notifies you when there is a new version available. The only downside is you have to update as a local update, it will not do it automatically.

That's another method, yes. This will be more familiar to some as they are already used to installing OTAs normally.
Some people brick their phones using that app too because they played with the settings or it didn't get detection of device right.

I received the notification, too. But I'm using XT1900-4 with XT1900-2 firmware, so guess I'll have to wait for flashable images...

I, too, received the notification, but am rooted so can't install it until someone releases the image.

I am not able to update despite of receiving notification!!! any help?

I have also get notification but not able to install can you tell me at what time you have received update notification I connect with motorola support team for this they tell to try from safe mode but when i try by safe mode shows download but in few seconds shows" Something not right... Reconnecting to Server"
Might be our Moto Update Services try to connect Moto Servers but connection is not happens coz of that shows error... hope this is a issue.....
Or else any one getting same problem so try to connect motorola support team hope they will fixed as soon as possible.

brightness slider issue is now resolved
looks like audio has been fixed too
in major pie update sound quality wasn't great through earphones compared to oreo
wht was the battery problem?
for me battery performance was better than oreo in major update itself.

Could actually able to fix the issue by installing a vpn and set it as a USA based server.
My phone was bought in US and I was using it elsewhere. After using an USA based IP it downloaded the update and voila.

Just use a USA ip server via VPN. It solved this problem for me. I was getting the same kind of error

Needs to be located on root area not in download folder.

Updated to Android 10 through normal OTA in Spain. Data preserved, without any problem. Everything works fine. (model XT2019-1, RETEU)

Hi,
I have an issue related the adaptive brightness: it's activated but the brightness not changing (at the moment it remains at 82%). If I modify manually it remains at that value.
I have already:
- disabled/enabled it
- rebooted the smartphone
- reset the smartphone
but the issue persists.
Any idea?

Don't know what motorola are playing at used to be spot on few years back

I have just updated by using the motorola rescue assist, once it downloaded the firmware it already gave me the latest version, its super nice but i have a question, i feel like the battery is draining a little faster than before, is it normal? Any workaround ?
