Verification error and i'm losing my mind :/

Hey fellas. I just recieved my brand new Huawei Mate 9 today. Than i noticed that it has some touch issues. So, i made some research and tried to install B156 on my phone via Firmware Finder which turned into disaster.
First of all my phone has the code "MHA-L29C432B138". Then i tried to install MHA-L29C432B156 FULL VERSION via the Firmware Finder which didn't install. Gave some sort of an authentication error. Which was 2.26GB. Then i tried an OTA version with the same serial number which was around 410MB. Then it all went sideways. It installed but gave an error at the the end. And every time i boot my phone i get "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly." error and have to press the Power Key to continue booting. And my phone is still B138 after all this.
Than i factory reseted my phone via both the Settings menu and by Power and Volume Up keys menu. All the same.
I just recieved this phone like 5-6 hours ago and i already messed it up. I feel really down and bad at the moment.

And the real sad thing is, i'm still using my 3,5 years old LG G2 with CM14 and it runs solid. I was between LG V20 and Mate 9 and chose Mate 9 because of the issues with V20 and better battery life, bigger screen, dual speakers,...etc.
Please help me recover from this nightmare.

Yeah bro i just did that and seems to have fixed itself but now the phone itself shows an B156 update that i'm afraid to install. But the touch issue a little annoying too. :/ Thank you for the input!

I've got the same problem I'm using hauwei p8 lite 2017 and getting the same error does anyone know where I can find stock update.app for this model ??

Just go through all the ota updates without hurry and you can be sure of a great upgrade on your experience. I Came from a LG g2 also
You can use the hisuite software from your PC to update and backup.

TA-1003 got Oreo update!!

Boy do I feel stupid going through all the hassle to "softtware convert" it to a TA-1025 to get Oreo Beta a while back.
I bought into the rumors about not getting Oreo too hard.

Is this via an OTA? Have you done anything to the phone or is it just like you've taken it out of the box? I haven't received the update yet. Also what country are you in? I'm in Australia. Hopefully I get the update, even though nokia tech said I wouldnt out of the region

It's via OTA. I'm in Taiwan and I haven't done anything to my phone yet. I did read on other forum that some people haven't received yet, maybe it just need a few days to receive.

Yep I just checked and Android Oreo OTA is here! Woohooo

TA1000 got it too via OTA. Working fine, feels snappier. But the app to add more languages crashes (locale more pro) so I'm stuck with English for now which is not a big deal though.

Try to clean data for this app (locale more pro) in apps admin. The best is to make a hard reset after the phone have been updated to Oreo.

I think the official Android 8.0 ota update killed my recovery. There simply just is a broken robot saying "no command" where the recovery used to be. GD Nokia bs phone.

When you see no command there in recovery
Hit power button and volume up button together, just hit, donot hold it
U will find the recovery mode

Btw, after Oreo update you have problem with notifications? Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Whatsapp give me notification only after I open them.

Anyone flash this yet to verify TWRP/Magisk still working properly?

Just updated, Magisk 16.0 works fine, passes SafetyNet. I don't install TWRP, but booting 3.2.0.0 from fastboot works fine.

Why in my pixel 2 I don't get the OTA updates ? I thought I would get the OTA update as it goes online. Bought the phone in Germany , TMobile and it's unlocked. What should I do ?

Does anyone know if google have actually addressed the multi touch bug yet? I did have a look at the changelog posted on page one and obviously didn't see it but I just want to clarify

Press the "check for updates" button? If you are already up to the Feb security update then that should be working (it did on mine earlier this evening).

I did. And as you see I'm in Feb and still nothing

You can flash the OTA manually with adb sideload if you don't want to wait.

This will work but you will need a factory reset afterwards cause lot of things won't work after clearing this cache especially push notifications.
The best way to update is to update google playservices to version 12 stable and check ota.

But why my phone doesn't update automatically the Google play services ? I still have the version 11.9. I guess that's why I don't don't have OTA update. There's anyway to make the Google play services update by itself ??

Received and installed the update in about an hour ago. Everything is fine so far, booted up good and running.

I have updated from 9-10 OTA and all good, not reset all seems ok so far last time I was bricked

Gesture navigation not working on any 3rd party launcher, only on custom roms

I didn't have to reset, just upgraded from pie. So many of my apps complained about being old (target very too old). At least it's a one-time nag.

Just updated ewrring ok for now,and new gesture work only with default launcher? and customise your pixel ?

Performance & battery for me is kinda same. Around 7-8h SOT. Sometimes I have graphical glitches (random colored boxes, drawer slider rolling out of screen, dock randomly changing size)
Face unlock has been removed with Android 10 update.
Overall it's a lazy update and still buggy and every Android update has less and less features...
No dt2w , no dt2s, no lift to wake, no flip to silence, no face unlock...
MIUI OS has all these features on my other phone by default...

Moto G8 plus still has not updated from June 1, 2020 security update.

Hey guys, i tried to root my moto g8 plus, and bricked it. But i was then able to install a stock firmware from latin america i believe (i purchased mine in mexico) I don't know if that has anything to do with this , but my moto g8 plus has not been able to update to the new august 2020 security update. I have already factory reset the phone and still i am unable to. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to why g8 plus always says "update unsuccessful, no changes were made to your phone"? I have included some pictures so you guys can take a look. any help would be greatly appreciated , thank you!

Did you unlock the bootloader?
I think you install an old version firmware so that's why the phone can't finish the actualization. Try re-install firmware but the newest one version

Just lock your bootloader if your on completely stock everything, like didn't touch magisk edxposed or twrp etc. It fixed that problem for me

THank you guys so much for the help, i was able to use the LENOVO tool and it very quickley detected the correct firmware i should have installed, it downloaded it and i now have the august 2020 security update D: thanks you guys are awesome!!!!
