Description:
Ive started working on a tool to clean up after apps (inspired by this thread).
Nobody is perfect and android neither.
Apps you have already deleted sometimes leave data behind.
The system constantly creates logs, crash reports and debug files you don't really need.
The market leaves temporary files of downloaded apps behind.
Lets not go on here...
SD Maid is a universal file tool that helps you keep your device neat and tidy.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Features
Storage overview
Root explorer & search
Find & remove left over files from uninstalled apps
Freeze, Uninstall, Export or kill apps
Toggle autstart entries
Find & delete common unnecessary files
Clean applications by removing various cache files without loosing any data
Find & delete duplicate files
Overview over biggest files/directories on your device
Optimize your SQL databases
Show last modified files
and more...
Installation instructions
* Install this like any other app.
* If your device is rooted, you will be asked if you want to grant SD Maid root permission upon its first launch
* It is up to you what you choose, in each case SD Maid will make best possible use of its features.
* Have the SuperUser application remember this choice, repeated prompts can cause unexpected behavior
Download links
SD Maid can either be downloaded from Google Play or direct from my server, appropriate links are collected here. The unlocker for SD Maid Pro can currently only be obtained through Google Play. I really recommend to only use these two sources. If you can't verify that the apk files are original you may put your device at risk.
Changelog
A detailed changelog can be found on Github and most update release posts also contain some explanation of what's new.
Bugs / Requests
Please use the issue tracker for any kind of bug reports or feature requests for both SD Maid stable & beta. I'll also discuss issues else where but usually a lot of helpful information gets lost if it's not organised, so I prefer the issue tracker .
Beta testing
If you are interested in beta versions and want to help test new features you can find the appropriate links here There is also some discussion in SD Maids G+ community.

On start or when pressing refresh?
Could you post the StackTrace maybe?
edit: The force close comes from the directory "/dbdata/databases" not existing hm...
Where would the directory be located on the HD2 ?
edit2: New version up which wont force close
Does this problem of left over directories only exist on the sgs?
Yes!!! I have been wanting an app like this for a while!
Installed but force closes every time I try to refresh...
MyTouch 4G - rooted - CM 7.0.0RC3
works on x10i

I just uploaded a new version which should not force close, but it seems you don't have that directory /dbdata/databases either.

There's no such folder on stock android. Each app have their own folder for data in /data/data/<package name>, which is automatically deleted at uninstall.

Yes, I can see that . I guess there is no such folder in Desire
Same in x10, ’0 corpses' & folder not found.

So do you have to have that folder dbdata/database to run it
Just Incredible

It seems that the problem of files remaining on the device in /dbdata/databases after uninstalling the app is only existant on Samsung devices.
You can run the app, but there probably won't be anything to show on a non Samsung device.
Yea, thats what happened, all it said was that folder not found. Sorry I dont speak programming, just teck. And Im pretty sure it dosnt matter if I have a rooted phone but im guessing it wouldnt hurt to tell you that im running unrevoked forever on my HTC incredible (not like the app has to cater just me) but i could really use something like this. I put my phone to work like i do my laptop, (you would have to see it to get that)
Just Incredible
I just installed the app and got a "0 corpses message" with no pop up message
also if it helps
SGS Vibrant
Trigger 2.8.2
Overstock 2.2

Thanks, this is very intresting. So the vibrant has this folder too.
The question now would be if this bug does not exist on the vibrant or if it just luck and you have a very clean device .

I was trying to politly warn you. This is not a warez site and your thread will get closed if you include paid apps in your ROM. Do what you want but I would remove it if I were you.
^ Shift Faced
Closed thread since it includes warez. If this thread is to be reopened, then a warez-free version must be PMed to me first. Thank you.
Hello Developers!
I work with Jrummy Apps Inc, the company and developer who brought you Rom Toolbox, Root Browser, Ultimate Backup, Busybox Installer, and many other root apps.
First, some background:
ROM Toolbox combines all the great root apps into one monster app with a beautiful and easy to use interface. ROM Toolbox has every tool you need to make your Android device fast and customized to your liking. ROM Toolbox has been featured on LifeHacker, XDA-Developers, Droid-Life, Android Central, RootzWiki, Android Police, DroidForums and other popular sites. ROM Toolbox has one of the highest ratings in the top 100 paid apps. Over 12,000 people gave it a full 5 star review! ★★★★★
ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, ROM Manager, Root Explorer, SetCPU, Ad Blocker, MetaMorph, Autorun Manager, Terminal Emulator, Script Manager, SD Booster, BuildProp Editor, Font Installer, Boot Animation Installer & many more apps into an all-in-one app!
The Revamped Rom Manager section now adds support for OTA updates!
Here’s where you come in:
We want your rom in our app. All roms will be *completely* free to download through our Rom Manager.
Why should you want to put your rom in our app?
Because your rom would be available to a much larger audience with more potential downloads and donations for you.
We want this to be as easy as possible for you.
To get the rom on ROM Toolbox, please do the following:
1) Fill out the file below with the roms/zips you want to have.
2) Save it in JSON format. I recommend using the free program called Notepad++ to modify and save json files.
3) Upload this file to your server. That way you can be in control of what ROMs show up at all times. Otherwise we can host it ourselves.
4) Send us the link to this file on your server.
5) Send us a summary of the ROM.
6) Send us the name of the ROM.
7) Send us the devices you support.
Code:
{
"version": "1", /*Keep this here, do not change or modify*/
"homepage": "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=...",/*link to website or original thread*/
"donate": "https://www.paypal.com/...", /*donation link*/
"roms": [
{
"name": "NoWizAOSPmod v.1.4.2 (7/22)",/*Name of Rom*/
"product": "NoWizAOSPmod",/*Name of series*/
"summary": "NoWizAOSP is a rom without wiz, and mimicking aosp...", /*Description of rom, and as updates begin, you will want to put changelogs here.*/
"device": "d2spr", /*device id*/
"url": "http://xeoduxus.com/downloadable/nowizaosp.zip" /*Direct download link, no goo.im please.*/
}
]
}
Note: you can add as many zips/roms as you want.. just add another section right under the "rom" entry. If you need any assistance filling this out feel free to ask and we can help you!
If you'd like to use addons, optional, flashable downloads with your rom, please let me know and I'd be happy to explain how to do it.
Ideally we would love for you to maintain your own download link. If this is not possible, please contact us and we'll do our best to help out.
ROM Toolbox is going through a major overhaul currently and has been completely rewritten. We want you to be a part of this!
Thanks!

In the changelog, it says goo.im support has been added, but I don't see my ROMs in there.
Developer account name: PonsAsinorem
Device: HTC Incredible (inc)
Edit: just thought about it. It requires the steps listed in the OP, and doesn't crawl through goo.im correct? Sorry, it's late here.
Edit edit: I'd love to be able to do this, but my computer broke so I can't get you the necessary files. Hopefully in a month or two when I'm back up and running.

Hey,
Yeah, it has goo support as in you can navigate into goo through the Rom Management tab, but it would not appear as other roms you see until the above method is done.
If your rom is already uploaded to a direct-download server, you can actually use Rom Toolbox's Root Browser to create the needed file, open it as text, paste the whole text in the code section into that file, modify it with the proper links, upload it, then get the link and send it to me through XDA or email [email protected] with it...
Hope this helps!

Been wondering on this one myself. Thanks for posting here. I'll try and get the word to some of the note 2 DEV's, your guys apps kick ass. :good:
How will one install ROMs that need side installations, like m2sd, or addons?
thanks a lot

My apologies for the delay in responding.
Addons can be added to your rom listing. For example, if an addon is a 23 toggle mod zip, it would be added in the manifest and the result would be a dialog window that pops up after the download button is tapped, which states the name of the addon with a checkbox for the user to choose if they would like to download that as well or not.
Hope this helps!
Please tell all your dev friends about this opportunity!

hello i have a problem with my galaxy s8 when the phone is in standby mode it wakes up on its own i noticed that is due to an ad by googleadservices and i tried several ways to remove it but i failed so please can anyone help me with this issue and thanks inadvance
Are you using another launcher?It may be the launcher's fault.
If it is,try downloading Lucky Patcher and use it to remake the .apk file of the launcher with Google ads removed.Uninstall the unmodified app and open and install the modified .apk file.It should probably work.
If it isn't,I may not know how to help.

Talking about such things are strictly forbidden here at xda, since hard working developers make the money to keep their projects going.
To the OP, if you have downloaded an apk that contains a virus, there is your issue. Sites that host apks usually try to sneak in such things in "their" apps.
...What's an OP?Also,should I edit my previous reply?
