removing googleadservices - General Questions and Answers

hello i have a problem with my galaxy s8 when the phone is in standby mode it wakes up on its own i noticed that is due to an ad by googleadservices and i tried several ways to remove it but i failed so please can anyone help me with this issue and thanks inadvance

Are you using another launcher? It may be the launcher's fault.
If it is,try downloading Lucky Patcher and use it to remake the .apk file of the launcher with Google ads removed.Uninstall the unmodified app and open and install the modified .apk file.It should probably work.
If it isn't,I may not know how to help.

Talking about such things are strictly forbidden here at xda, since hard working developers make the money to keep their projects going.
To the OP, if you have downloaded an apk that contains a virus, there is your issue. Sites that host apks usually try to sneak in such things in "their" apps.

...What's an OP?Also, should I edit my previous reply?

Original post OR original poster. If you're talking about op, it's the second one, if you're talking about something in the first post, it's the first one.

I was trying to politly warn you. This is not a warez site and your thread will get closed if you include paid apps in your ROM. Do what you want but I would remove it if I were you.

Closed thread since it includes warez. If this thread is to be reopened, then a warez-free version must be PMed to me first. Thank you.

Requesting S3 Alarm Clock APK

After rooting my S3, I got a little over zealous uninstalling all the bloatware. As such, I mistakenly deleted the alarm clock (ya know, the one that works with S Voice). Does anyone have the apk for the stock touchwiz alarm clock? The only downloads I can find are modded versions ported for other phones.
Thanks in advance.
You should be able to download a stock rom and search the zip. Normally they are located in the \system\app directory. Make sure you match permissions with other system apps.

I downloaded "BeansStockR3.1". Since I am a new member, I can't post a direct link, but it was the only google result when searching for exactly that. Also, I PMed you a link directly to the ClockPackage.apk.

Do you mind PM'ing me a direct link to the ClockPackage.apk?! =D
I typically put all these apk's in a box or dropbox account. Comes in handy for sharing with friends n stuff.
Here's a dropbox for 4.0.4 ClockPackage

And if needed the 4.1.1 from JellyWiz Rom

Hi there, this is how i fixed my alarm problem
firstly download the clock apk relavent to your phone, i think that there are 3 different ones provided in this thread.
Secondly you need to download something from the play store called "Rom toolbox pro" its £3 but if you ask in the forums here someone can probably point you to a free one that does the same thing.
make sure your phone is rooted, install and run Rom toolbox pro. click on Root Browser, navigate to where you put the APK on your phone, copy and move it to root/system/app. Once you have moved the apk find it in the app folder, click and hold it for a couple of seconds. A menu should popup with options, click on "permissions" set them so they are like this. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2pphiyo&s=6 If you are using a different app you will need to set your permissions accordingly, yet again im sure there is someone on here clever enough to help with that.
Now just restart your phone, the APK will run on boot.
These are the exact steps i followed and they worked for me. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2h353dl&s=6
I hope you have the same luck

full control of multiscreen apps?

i bought a note 2 few days ago, and flashed omega's rom. i was extremely excited to found this thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953705
we can enable any apps for multiscreen viewing with this awesome app
do we have chance to port this thing to our note 10.1?
sorry for my bad english
I don't exactly remember on what thread I found this, but if you have jellybean (4.1) on your note 10.1, then you can download and install the apks there have here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/misc.php?do=showattachments&t=1985240 to make them compatible with multiview.
They recommend backing up the version of the app you have now using Titanium backup, then uninstalling it, and then installing the apk from the link.
yup i saw that post earlier, but with this noobs like me only can install apps that have been "edited"(i dont know what that call) by them.
but with the note 2 thing, we can create ourselves easily

I found the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1985240
They explain how to make your own applications work with multiview, it's not too difficult.
I agree that easier is better, but if you really want/need an app to work with multiview, it might be worth giving their method a try .
I hope I can figure it out. Thanks

No problem, and good luck!
I just found another useful thread on this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998133
They made an exe file in which you can point to an apk file or even a folder with apk files, and then the program slowly but steadily does everything for you! I'm trying it out right now on a folder with 15 apks. Just have to wait now and see how it does !

[Q] cyanogen APKs

Hello everybody
Is there an "official" place where all the cyanogenMod apps (APKs) are located and can be downloaded.?
Found a place called apkmirror.com - is that the best place?
Or is there an easy was to extract them from the cyanogenMod ROM package or some other ways to get my hand on these apps?
I'm particularly interested in the message app (SMS/MMS) and image/photo browser.
Tried to install cyanogenMod but it had some bugs so I got back to Google stock ROM.
I tried to search the forum but couldn't find any usefull.
Thanks in advance
They do not upload their sole apks anywhere "officially".

Really!......I thought this society was all about sharing and being open-source-minded!
But maybe there is reasons beside that for not sharing?

The apks are open source. They just don't post them anywhere separately "officially". No particular reason to do so. Their official release is in the form of their custom ROM. Someone else will extract and post them anyways.

Unable to change GPS joystick as a system app

Hello Everyone,
I have rooted my phone and am using GPS joystick Fake GPS location app from the play store. I am using a private mode within this app which helps me to create a copy of the app with a different name so that POGO does not detect it.
Everything works fine till here. I am using Lucky patcher to change the installed cloned app as a system app and it asks for a restart, after restart the cloned app goes missing.
I have no idea what is gng wrong and would need some light and help on this.
I am using a Xiaomi Mi Max
Android Version : 7.0 NRD90M
Android Security Patch Level: 2017-11-01
MIUI Version: MIUI Stable 9.2

As long as you use banned apps (lucky patcher) you will find no help here.

I was told that was one of the apps to use, I do not mind using any other apps to get an app changed to a system app.
Lucky patcher was an option that i got through one of the threads on google, but couldnt get it to work too, so posted to check if someone could help on here

You can't use Titainium backup that does it but other then that I don't know. I don't mess with things like that.
Also just be careful. They are banning people caught cheating. To the point of banning the device itself.

Use titanium backup. Saw the auto correct was a mistake. That is really the only way but even then it has been detected by the game.

Can we not make an app a system app without using any of these apps?
IF i am right does it not just move the data/app to priv/app folder?

It does but it requires root. You could try just moving it with a file explorer but no promises it will work. Normally system apps only work when flashed. Also they tend to code things to look in the data partition. So moving it to system can cause issues.
You can try a few but no promises.

The phone is rooted for sure, but moving the data/app to priv/app then when I reboot it.. the files go missing! As if it was never pasted there...! That is what is causing all the issues!

That's most likely due to the signature. All apps in system need to have the same signature. Without it the apk won't run at all.
I can't help any more then that. People here don't use multiple versions of the same app.
