Huawei Mate 9 does not support java. what that means ? should i buy if it does not?

It means it's like most other phones.

Sounds normal....

Is this a troll post? If not, sounds normal.

... does not support java ... ?
Sure we can develop an app with java, and then run it on Mate 9. So, what do you mean that?

No..
This is the first time I will say this but, if you really like Windows Phone 7, sell your Android device and get a Widows Phone 7 device. Best choice you can make
Yes. If not.... can someone enlighten me?
It will just take a lot of work and won't be near feasible to even support. Cellphone adoption rate says its better to just go buy the phone.

It's technically possible if the phone is using a Snapdragon processor, but so far no one has figure out how to hack the Windows Phone bootloader onto those devices.
So no or at least not currently.
No, because wp7 and android uses another hardware.

You meant to attach any link?
i belive it's called launcher 7, it's ok but not great. So far the only device that has had the WP7 OS ported to it has been the HD2 because 1.) it had a partial internal build from HTC, and 2.) the HD2 has probably the largest community support of any device aside from the iPhone.
Thanks for your quick response.
I do think the OP asked about OS not theme
So from what I understand my Galaxy ain't gonna eat WP7 and that's something that's neva gonna happen.

Can Cortana be installed on Surface Pro 2?

I couldn't find anything on the net, which discussed installing Cortana on a Surface Pro 2. Has anyone looked into this?
Its part of windows phone 8 only so no

Thanks, but I'm already aware of that. My question was whether anyone was planning to make Cortana work on the Surface Pro 2.

Well nobody can but microsoft.
Windows 8 does not run windows phone 8 applications and no doubt cortana is way more tightly integrated than being a simple app. Only microsoft have the source code. There is no way for us to make cortana work on windows 8 (and that would therefore include pro 2 considering that is just a windows 8 ultrabook thrown in a tablet shell)

Does that mean that no dev on XDA is interested in hacking Cortana to make it work on surface tablets?

It is physically impossible for us to do so, it isn't a case of whether anyone is interested or not, we simply cannot do it.
And why the fixation with the surface? Any hack to get cortana would be a global windows 8 thing not surface specific (hell, you'd have to go out of your way to make it surface specific)

[Q] is this real ?

this seems to good to be real can anyone confirm this as real or is it just as i suspect bs
is change my software 8 that changes android os into windows 8
Maybe if you managed to actually ask a coherent question, someone can answer it?

No it's wrong, you can't run Windows 8 (x86/x64) on devices that natively run Android. The hardware is different so the OS would not even install/load
wait...what did you just say? could you give a link or something? you said this and never said what "this" is...also it's probably fake almost definitely as windows 8 only runs on x86 and amd64 architectures, not arm like android does.

Is there a iOS rom for Huawei P9 Lite?

I know there is not but maybe there is a rom that i cant find. Or if its easy to make, is there anyone here to port an iOS rom for p9 lite. I know that if a rom will appear like iOS it will be so epic.

You cannot just port ios to Android. Those are two totally different systems. It's like iPhones speak a language no other phone does. Even if someone succeeded in installing ios on an Android device it'd probably be very buggy

Your statement is ambiguous ... but read below.
iOS is proprietary and no one has access to it's source code except Apple. Needless to say, even if there ever is going to be a ported version of iOS, it's going to be illegal, big time!

Guys i think my English is not enough to tell what i want... There are available roms for android that look like iOS, for example i can find this with just searcing "ios rom" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9wAxzM1l78
And i know that there are devices that can use ios rom. And i want someone who can make to do a custom rom for "ANDROID" and with ios lockscreen, keyboard, animations, icons, settings, navbars etc. Here are more examples for iOS rom for android devices:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mpiDt6cKqI

they are just a bit of that i can find, there are more of it. And i just want a rom for my Huawei p9 lite like that.
If you still say that is illegal, okay.

So is there something like that for Huawei p9 lite?
latest android-base rom that was almost 100% like iOs graphically was a MIUI but i don't know if someone ported it for P9Lite...

Question Huawei MatePad paper custom firmwares

Hi!
First of all, sorry for posting in this thread , but there is no other thread for the Huawei matepad paper.
My question is if there is or will be any custom firmwares for this tablet, because even if its a good e-reader, notetaking device, i don't trust it for handling my private documents, because its Huawei and also it runs Harmony OS.
Maybe my answer comes after 1,5 a month, but I'll give You my 5 cents. Unfortunately, as there is no way to unlock Huawei this days do not count on any custom roming.
It's stupid of them, but sadly that's the way they choose to do it.

I love this device. Got it somewhere in September and have to say it crushes any other eink Android tablets (got few, mostly made by Onyx). It's superresponsive, doesnt lag at all and, with help of Aurora, has access to Play Store and all ebook apps available there.

sorry, bro... but our tablet is dead as a "custom-rom-enabled" device
it works good (yes, with old Android 10 VM and old HMOS 2, but good) without modifications.
I hope our chinese brothers makes HUAWEI to release some sources and some unlock-software that helps us make our device great again!
Price was good, so I've bought it.
If I knew that it will not receive an upgrade to HMOS 3 and not able to unlock and flash some custom rom, I didn't buy it
Are You sure?
On their HOS3 site I see that Paper is included: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/harmonyos-3/
They are still updating other devices and Paper is not the flagship device unfortunately.
And even without HOS3 it's great device. A10 won't be forgotten by Google for few more years, so not a problem for me.
