OTA Verizon Site change?? OTA today??

No longer shows the 5/13/2011 dates in header and the main part of the page. The date is now BLANK? OTA today maybe ?????
Just sharing since I check it every hour waiting the update!

I'll believe it when I can download it. I refuse to get my hopes up!

The PDF indicates fixes for resets and power cycles, or is this the pdf from the MR1 update?

I just researched and you are right, that baseband appears much newer. I also noticed on the Incredible 2 update page, that it has no date listed. Perhaps these are coming down the tubes together this weekend.

Looks good, but you will likely have to say goodbye to the free mobile hotspot if you are not rooted.
And no mention of gingerbread for us non-rooted users.

Yes, that is one thing I saw that was missing. However if this solves the stability issue then GB might be an easy push for them to get out. Or, they forgot to tack it onto the flyer

I've seen few reports of taking a long time to lock on to satellites, but even GPS devices like TOM TOM has these problems.

seriously? the GPS on the tbolt is a complete fail and it's a software issue. Using a third party GPS app to "fix" it that worked the first few times and now it locks in minutes (or till i just give up) rather than a couple seconds.
Sorry. I guess i was just spoiled being on the Dinc that locked instantly every single time.
But since you question it, i am jealous yours works.

I know it usually doesn't mean much but all day I've been getting the Service Unavailable error when checking for any updates

Quick question, Will there be an GSM version of the Photon Q LTE? with removable SIM?
I'm talking about a different variant

the codename for the photon q is the asanti_c, there is a lot of reason to believe a gsm friendly version will come out that will be called just the asanti.

Correct.
It is codename Asanti and the model is XT898. Right now I know it will be for AT&T, but usually you can get an unlock codes for other carriers.

As long as the carrier allows them it should. Seeing as AT&T is the reason behind the Atrix HD not being unlocked, (hardware/software support it, just not the Unlock My Device page), I'd say the chance is slim.

There should be international version of the phone, from what I know (I don't know about AT&T version).

There should be one if only for the fact that this is the first high end QWERTY device I have seen in ages

I fixed that bug the day I got my glide, just replaced the APK from the one on OsiMood, and we already have an ICS Update, you have to plug your phone on a PC, start Kies, and search for updates.
I don´t want to be disrespectful, but judging by your answer, I think that Angry Birds may be a little too complicate for your mental capacity, maybe you should try Pong, more apropiated for someone of your generation.

Very sad that it was cancelled. I used a GSM phone overseas (Captivate Glide), and it is silly that I need to use a different phone when home on Sprint.

Later then on At&t....lol... But I hope very soon..

I'm hoping within a day or two, but you never know with the Canadian carriers. I'm pretty sure we got 4.3 first though, so I'd imagine that it's ready to go.

I'm mostly excited for the snappier speed! It is sluggish in some parts in 4.3 and touchwiz really makes it slower than it's supposed to be!

not sure if they will be released at the same time but the last update(4.3) I installed on my Koodo S4 was the same one used for Bell S4.
Anyone remember if they all received the update the same day ?

Last I checked Telus got the update before any other carrier at least it shows that kind of pattern on the firmware releases.

It's really frustrating that we pay the same as everyone else but are always the last to get an update. Last time, we got updated well after google had released a new version. Not even a leaked version??

S8 US Unlocked Software Update

Hey guys,
I was checking for a new software update for the G950U1. I just saw one come through. I will download and flash it when its done, but it will be out soon. I will keep checking CSC codes too see if I can find one. But anyways this update should be out later today or tomorrow. In the picture it says Can not send binary information 200/400 that is because Samsung is still uploading the new firmware. The old baseband is G950U1UEU1AQDC. The new baseband is G950U1UEU1AQE3. For those who were complaining about not getting updates. Just give them some time. Even hours. I heard Bixby Voice is contained in it. If you flashed the original firmware to your phone you get the update.

I'm pretty sure. Im having some problems with it though. I pressed the button and Bixby voice was activated. Made this cool animation and sound. It took me to a terms and conditions page where I accepted them. Then if exited and stopped working. I go into Bixby home to update it to see if that will bring it back. It says there's a new update and when I press it, it downloads for 2 seconds then quits and says that the latest version is installed. But every time I go back it says there's an update available

It must not be a network error because mine does the same thing when I try to update bixby. Says it's updating for a second or two and then says it's up to date

My Verizon S8 just got an update notificaiton:

I just complained few days ago about no updates so far for the US unlocked ... Damn ... That went quick ... Hope they will maintain the frequency of these updates ...

I do have a network connection and I see the error whether on data or WiFi but it worked fine for the last few days and I've received 2 updates before I starting getting this error.

I have the same issue,on both my devices ?
It's been like this since morning,tbh I'm kinda of tired of this phone ,since I got it it was always issues with , sometimes my fingerprint scanner don't work I have to restart my phone ,and lately I just noticed it keeps switching to 5G by itself.....

I'm using the UK version 11.A.18 and since first day I had issues with fingerprint scanner,it's very annoying especially when I try to log in into my mobile banking...
I'm still in cooling off period so I'm kinda of thinking to return this ,I switched from S20 ultra and I must say that I never had any issues with my old phone

I tried a bunch of VPNs when I wanted to get an update which was rolling our across Europe, no country I picked worked though. In the end I got a higher version of the update naturally just by waiting a day or two

Is the A.26 version any newer? It seems the version number is different across countries and a higher number doesn't necessarily mean it is newer than one in a different region.

Try the Netherlands or Belgium.. I got the update here in Belgium

working ok here. you can always get updates from oppo website and patch manually.

This is definately the case, seems to be totally random what the version numbers mean (I've seen people in here with higher version number, but older security updates). Bizarre phone this one

I can confirm this behavior, I have the exact same update log, but I am on the A.23 in my region.

I had a suspicion that this was the case, but can't really fathom why different regions would have different version numbers.
After a while this would get very confusing for even Oppo themselves.
Overall, I think it is more important to look at the update log instead of the version number alone.
