[Completed] my s6 edge plus is not turning on (bricked) after recovery flash fail - XDA Assist

hi friends,
i recently rooted my s6 edge plus (SM-G928C) and installed twrp manager from the play store and when i opened it it said twrp recovery is available and prompted for root access and i granted access to it and rebooting and trying it to flash it said recovery is not seandroid enforcing at that time i was able to enter the odin mode in my mobile by pressing(power + volume down + home) but soon after that i left my mobile alone and went out.after coming back home i tried switching it on this time it didn't even respond and say anything and i also tried to enter odin mode(power+volume down+home) and also emergency mode(power + volume down) and also recovery mode(power+volume up+home) but no response unlike the last time when it said 'recovery is not seandroid enforcing' and then i thought battery has drained out and put it in charge but it didn't charge even after putting it on charge for 3-4 hours and then i tried charging it with my computer even then it didn't respond but my pc said "initializing device driver" and detected my device with the name 'Exynos 7420 and disconnects" before which i had already installed kies 3 , smart switch and device drivers but no use i had tried using kies 3 and smart switch also but no use it says connect device to start upgrade. Now please please!! help me to get rid of this problem and i am not even able sleep properly because of this problem and my phone is just 5 months old.please help.
thank you in advance:crying:

Greetings and welcome to assist. The message seandroid is not enforcing is normal, it just means you have a custom recovery installed like twrp. If you connect your phone to kies and select emergency firmware recovery it will restore your phone to stock

Galaxy S duos 7582 boot loop and unable to access recovery mode. help guys please

Hi Guys,
I have the Samsung galaxy S duos (7582) and I believe that my phone has soft bricked.
1. At first the phone will switch on only while connected to charger. Even if its switched on it will just show the start page with Samsung logo and phone model only.
2. I have replaced the battery and tried but it shows the same result. Doesn’t charged up but can switch on the phone (only to start screen with Samsung logo and phone model) with connecting to charger e or PC.
3. The mobile phone is not detected by the PC, but the same has detected by odin. I have passed in odin but unable to access the recovery mode by pressing volume up+home+power buttons. ( i can access downloading mode)
4. Finally I tried to flash stock rom with Odin and it shows Fail.
Appreciate your help.

Bro exact same things happened with me, listen just connect it to a charger, after hmmmm approx 15mint you will see the phone is charging, and then turn on your device while in charging it will take around 40mint boot up, and after booting every thing will work fine, trust me this had happened with me in past, i hate Samsung and s duos 2 gt-s7582. And you know what every time i turn off the phone its take around 40mint to turn on again. I don't know why it take that much time in boot. Just try my method that will help.

I think I bricked my Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920I

Ok, so I tried to root my phone using odin and cf auto but at the end of the process when my phone got rebooted I was stuck on the logo screen for ages and this small red text showed at the top saying something like recovery is not seandroid enforcing. So after searching through solutions I tried formatting the phone but when I tried to go into recovery mode it just rebooted back to the logo screen. So I then tried to reinstall the firmware but after doing this Odin said failed and then my phone got rebooted and is now stuck on the message "An error has ccured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." But Samsung Kies and Smart Switch says my device is not supported and when I try to go into recovery or download mode the phone just turns of and goes back to the error screen. Can anyone please help me. This is a new phone and my parents would kill me if they found out I screwed it up already.

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Your thread will be moved to Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting. You'll get support from the experts there.

XDA Assist
Put your phone in download mode and use odin to flash ROM. It will work.
Good luck
1) smartswitch or kies wont work at all because you already tripped your knox
2) recovery is not seandroid enforcing <- this text shows you have custom recovery installed.
3) you possibly didnt turned knox off. settings>lock screen and security > find my mobile> there will be an option to switch it off
now solution
1st of all you havent bricked it! its soft bricked and not hard bricked(hard brick wont even turn on)
what you can do is let the battery drain off totally charge it and try to put it in download mode > odin > flash stock rom first(important step).
from there try to turn it on if it does you great. and dont use cf auto root if you are not familiar with it download some other roms which are way better than stock touchwiz, pre rooted and way better than it(like the note5 rom for s6 by arter).
by the way keycombinations >
downloadmode = vol down+home+power to switch off download mode vol down+ power only
recoverymode= vol up+home+ power
if you can put it in download mode follow my steps and hopefully you can, just keep trying

My phone wont go into download mode. When I press the button combination, the phone reboots and goes back into the screen saying the software error again. And the first time I tried to flash stock the phone is how the error message came up.

Ok so I let my phone completely drain of charge, then the second I put it on charge, the phone goes to the software error screen. Download mode just reboots phone into the error screen and recovery mode doesn't seem to do anything. Ill see if Odin recognizes the phone though
Ahm probably you missed something that could help you resolve your issue in much less time.
1. Press Vol Down + Power Button for 5 seconds until it reboots. After the screen is off then quickly switch to Vol down + Home + Power button to access download mode.
It is the key combination to safemode but it your case, it will just force restart your phone. No need to drain your battery.
2. Maybe most of the newbies always missed this part before doing anything to their phone. Backup (either on smart switch or Nandroid*best option)
3. You need to have proper samsung usb drivers installed and check in odin if your phone was recognized.
The only thing I see from your first post is that the firmware installation (odin) was interrupted. Please let it finished installing before doing anything in ur phone. Check faulty usb ports/usb cables to ensure your pc/laptop works well with ur s6.
Let us know how if u still encounter any issues.

do as the guy above said in 1st step thats a key step to put it in download mode
Thank you guys
The phone is all good now. It turns out that the software error screen was also the download mode. So I flashed the stock rom and everything is fine now. Thanks for the help.

Even though knox is tripped you can use smartswitch.
I know this because I have done it.
I rooted my phone, installed custom kernel, etc.
I then broke the screen, and since it was a hardware issue, I got it covered by my phone provider. (I am in Aus, we have different warranty laws compared to the USA.)
But I had to return it to stock. So I used Smartswitch to do so, even with knox tripped.

Greetings and welcome to xda. The seandroid message normally means you have a custom recovery installed. Can you enter download mode or recovery mode at all ? If you can get into download mode flashing the latset firmware for your device with odin will fix your issue
Good Luck

Bootloop, can't enter Recovery mode

So my phone (S6, SM-G920F) crashed recently (completly out of the blue, I was opening a YouTube-Link I've sent myself via the PC) and I can only access the Download Mode, but not the Recovery mode.
What I've tried (In order):
-Flash any ROM (DTM, DBT, VIA [Different Carriers for Germany, I dont know if mines branded]), only the DBT (Universal) ROM even flashed, others just failed in Odin3, phone still doesn't work
-Install TWRP
-Use SmartSwitch (After some failed ROM-Installations, it showed the following Message on the screen of my phone:
Spoiler
"An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
, Smart Switch didn't even work. I've installed Samsung USB-Drivers first, then installed Smart Switch. If I try to use the Emergency Recover Function, Smart Switch just freezes up entirely
Does someone here know how I can fix my device?
Someone? D:
Download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3803841&d=1467715462
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: XEF
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run this Odin (even if you have another one);
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3804544&d=1467772303
When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin, connect your phone in download mode.
After that, press Start. When Odin done the installation, phone will restart. When it is restarted, disconnect the cable.
After 1-2 minutes, phone will boot up as completely refreshed device.
Even this method doesn't fix your device, then you need to replace your motherboard.
Thank you so so much, it worked like a charm,
Your tutorial was my last chance, and by accident i found this thread who gave me the magic solution (sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language)
Cheers !
Thanks for providing the above detailed instructions forumber2. Apologies for chipping in on the thread, but i had almost exactly the same issues at the iamflee but with one key difference - my wife had dropped the phone down the toilet first! She retrieved the phone immediately powered off, sim card out etc. and left it in a bag of rice for a week to dry out. It wouldn't turn back on at all. I tried all combinations of buttons and nothing, until I plugged it into my laptop and found I could get it into Download mode (but not recovery or to boot).
I tried lots of different ROM's/ TWRP/ bootloaders etc. but no joy, and then came across your answer above.
I followed it to the letter and Odin completed successfully, however the phone did not reboot at the end, it simply turned off, and will not turn back on. I can get it into Download mode but that is all.
Please can someone confirm what I think I already know, that the phone is goosed and I need to move on and stop spending hours trying to get it to work again! Or is there one last glimmer of hope with something else that I can try.
Thanks,
Matt
I am aware this does not contribute to the problem, but may give context.
Currently, I am stuck with an Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F, which I am told 'randomly restarted' and since then was stuck on the Samsung boot screen. After the battery finally reached zero, it became stuck on the battery charging screen.
I have been able to force the phone to restart using either (Power + Vol Down + Home OR Power + Vol Down), but I am still greeted being stuck on the Samsung boot screen. Furthermore, I cannot boot into recovery mode (P + Vol Up + Home), but I can boot into download mode. However, Samsung Kies 2.6 is left on 'Connecting' in perpetuity without giving an error of any kind. I have installed the drivers provided and Windows detects the phone as a 'Gadget Serial'.
So, to clarify:
+ can boot into download mode
+Windows can detect the phone
- cannot boot into recovery mode
- stuck in boot loop
- Samsung Kies stuck on 'connecting'; hence emergency recovery is out the question
- Odin cannot detect the phone in download mode
I would conclude this SM-G920F motherboard has failed, or partially at least
same issue

was your phone submerged in water at all?
I have the same issue as the OP. J700F (J7-2015) stuck in boot loop.
+Charges
+Turns on but stucks on boot logo
+Can enter Download mode
+does show up in ODIN
-Cannot access recovery mode
-Cannot turn the phone on obv.
-Has FRP lock but I have the phone passcode and email (no email password duh)
Now I downloaded the correct firmware for my region (KSA; do I need to use XEF?) and connect my phone in download mode, select the files. now when I press start, it fails in ODIN and shows "Custom binary(boot) not allowed due to FRP" (I may have used wrong wordings but it seems it cannot install firmware due to FRP lock)
Now what am I looking at ?

Custom binary blocked FRP on my Samsung

I need help and I need it fast!
I had my S7 G935F rooted a while ago and all was well until recently the Smorning it decided to just go off on its on and I tried to put it on charge thinking the battery was dead but when I plugged the cable into my phone it came up with "Custom binary blocked FRP" message.
So I tried to Press and hold “Volume UP + Power + Home” button together and as soon as I seen the Galaxy S7 Boot logo, I release all three buttons. To get into recovery mode and the same message came up "Custom binary blocked FRP"
So then the Next thing I plugged it into the Computer to see if the USB will pick up I hear the sound off it connecting but when I look to see if its connected in Devices & drivers my phone isn't there.
It does however boot into Odin mode on the phone, and when I open the Odin3 application I have on the pc it shows the Blue box underneath ID:COM. I just want to get my phone working again please someone help im begging.
Help?
It's all good people I done a step by step through rootsamsung.com I had to do a Factory reset im just glad its back to normal
