No FASTBOOT mode or RECOVERY mode - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today I tried to flash a new ROM and basically bricked my Z3. However, I was able to install a stock firmware and got the phone working perfectly again. Problem is, I want to install a new ROM (elsewhere in the forum) but I have lost my recovery mode and fastboot mode. Can anyone explain how I can get them back or install a new one? I tried flashing the TWRP recovery onto the phone but it keeps coming back with an error. My phone is not bootlocked and is rooted. I just want some kind of recovery options. Please help.
Thanks in advance :good:

To flash twrp you must have unlocked bootloader and if you want to flash on locked bootloder download nuts dual recovery.
For fastboot switch off the phone and hold vol up and plug in the usb voila if you see blue led.

Is it possible to flash a new ROM without a working recovery? Any apps I can use?
I also downloaded TWRP manager and tried to install it but it comes back with an error.

[Q] Nexus S stuck at Google Logo

Yes, first of all i read all other Threads with the Words (Stuck and Google Logo) and i use Google. I spent yesterday about 5hours und could not fix the Problem.
So, i tried to install a ROM (CM9), i do that with the Guide from nexusshack..
I think somewhere between (Wipe System) i got the Problem. Now my Nexus S Stuck in the Boot - i made some Screenshots.
Maybe someone can help me?
same problem here any help?
Would be useful if you could point out your nexus S model...
Anyway, since you have access to bootloader, just flash cwm recovery with fastboot, go in recovery and wipe all, mount USB from inside recovery and transfer another rom for your model to the SD card. After that just flash the new rom and it should work.
nexus s 19020a
Yup....just flash custom recovery....then you can flash other rom..
Hey guys,
like mentioned in my thread before a week ( I will let it die ;-) ) I got the same problem with an I9023.
I flashed factory images including bootloader and radio,cwm-recovery via fastboot, every single action succeeded, but I still got stuck in this *%&/(()-Google-Screen. I cannot boot into recovery, only bootloader is working.
i have the same problem does any one have a suggestion !!
thanks in advance
Had the same issue about one month ago. It was when I installed CM9, there were missing drivers. Do not remember, which exactly.
What do you mean with 'drivers'?
nexus S was in locked state...can't able to unlock thorugh "fastboot oem unlock" (FAILED <remote:ERASE FAIL>.. even all drivers were installed properly...if i try to get in to recovery mode there is an exclamtion mark...what it that..???
It means you have no recovery installed... Use Odin to flash a stock rooted Rom then flash recovery you must have erased everything now you need to start from scratch...

[Q][D2303] How to root with unlocked bootloader?

Hi guys! Im on 4.4.4 with unlocked bootloader, the only way to root this device that i found on the internet is to use locked bootloader tutorials.
Is there any easy way to root unlocked bootloader D2303 on 4.4.4 18.3.1.C.1.15? I tried flashtool but when it installs towel root and i press make it rain! it says this device is not supported. Thanks in advance!
Here is one easiest way, but its over chinese app called KingRoot.
1. Download latest KingRoot.
2. Press Root button
3. Allow USB debug in Developer settings(Tap 10 times in Phone info on Build number to get Dev. settings)
4. Install Philz Recovery
5. Flash SuperSU V.249 BETA! Important!
6. Flash RICDefeat.zip
Same way is described here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/how-to-permanently-root-xperia-m2-t3106534
But dont forget to flash SuperSU V2.49 BETA and RICDefeat & remove KingRoot apps.

Update your bootloader using emma, then flash a recovery like CM12.1 Recovery from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/lfub133wy5833bx/recovery.img and flash with it SuperSU zip and RICdefeat. Then you're done.

Actually that's a locked bootloader method.
And Kingroot also sends your IMEI info to chinese unknown servers...

Then there's no reason to happen that. The lines appear when you boot it normally or when you try to enter recovery by keep holding the Vol- button?
In my D2303 is fine working...

The phone is off. I press the power button it vibrates, then for 5-6 second the screen is black. Then the lines shows up and no boot. Vol- pressed or not is the same.
EDIT: Reflashed now only if i try to enter recovery the lines shows up!

Go in fastboot mode and run fastboot erase recovery .
Again, I see no reason why this could be happening as this recovery runs in it's partition, isolated, so if you don't run it (Vol- button from the beggining) then it should not interfere with device boot up. Try flashing the latest kernel from the .15 ftf also.

No, it shouldn't as the problem only was the GPIO Keys... Not screen driver problem... But yes, looks like you can't use the CM Recovery.
Format your fastboot partition with fastboot erase recovery and use the locked bootloader procedure... What a pity.

And in what step you get stuck in the kernel downgrade root method?...

I would flash a custom recovery in ADB and then flash a stock rom image via the recovery.. if possible. That worked for me once when nothing else did.

Can't reboot to bootloader

Hi,
I want to install TWRP so I tried rebooting to bootloader by using adb, which didn't work, and I tried rebooting to the bootloader by rebooting to bootloader from recovery mode, which didn't work either, whenever I try it boots normally and just goes to my sim code screen. It's a G920F with stock firmware, my phone notified me of a software update is this the problem?
There's no "bootloader mode" on Samsung devices.
Hi,
There's no bootloader mode on Samsung, instead you get the Download screen. To get to it, just turn off your device, then turn it on using volume down+home+power buttons. You can then proceed to install TWRP using Odin through it.
All the best,

Phone issues after unlocking bootloader?

So I recently unlocked the bootloader on my Honor 6x and it is now stuck on the screen saying "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and the pesky "Your device is booting now message....". I am unable to get into fastboot mode, and so far no chances of booting into eRecovery. Any known fixes?
Do a clean flash of your ROM through dload method
in same situation.. any help pleasee ?

but i have access to fastboot..
This also happened to me. I cant get to fastboot and the phone was stuck on "You're device is booting now...".
What I did is I let the phone drain its battery. After draining the battery, I tried to access fastboot mode. Holding down volume button and connecting the USB cable, the phone booted into the erecovery mode instead of fastboot mode. So I did a data wipe. After performing wipes, I tried to boot into fastboot mode again, and it worked. So I flashed the recovery, ramdisk, and kernel images. After which, I flashed the system again in TWRP and it was successful. ? Now my phone boots normally. ?

Try Dload or let it drain of battery. Next plug-in USB when it turns on hold Volume Up and boot into eRecovery.
