Moto Maxx without IMEI - Moto Maxx Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, how are you?
I'm in big trouble and I can not solve it! I am with the Moto Maxx XT 1225 that is without IMEI, does not recognize the SIM CARD and the WIFI does not work I believe to be everything related to the lack of the IMEI right?
Already tried everything I went to 4.4.4 to 6.0.1 and nothing to solve, it shows the "baseband: Unknown".
Has anyone managed to solve it?
I'm hopeless!

Motorola Moto G Xt1032 - how to recover IMEI?

Hi all,
My Moto G XT1032 have Unlocked Bootloader CWM recovery and is rooted, running CWM room v 11.
Phone lost IMEI code after flashing with diffrent roms, now I don't have mobile reception, wifi and bluetooth is working fine.
I had similar issue with Gionee E6 but I found imei file in the phone and recreate IMEI number.
In Moto G I can't find imei file so don't know hot to fix this.
Please let me know how to recover IMEI number.
I hope that someone know how to do it.
Many thanks
Chris

I've never heard of this before and it seems extreme that you could lose IMEI number just by flashing a custom ROM. What method did you use?
I would have assumed fastboot flashing stock firmware should solve this.

Hi Sorry for late reply but I lost internet connection on Saturday morning.
When I have been doing some stuff in CWM recovery, had system and data partition mounted.
Then done rm -R * in root dir.
At this point I thought that my current dir is tmp.
After this I lost wifi and IMEI.
I manage to sort out wifi but not IMEI code.
Do you know how to fix this?
Since that I have been re-flashing stock rom and CWM rom but none of them help.
Chris
anyone can help to recover IMEI ?
Thanks
Changing/manually setting the IMEI is illegal afaik. And afaik assisting someone with that is also forbidden here on xda. We used to have a similar problem on the phone I came from, and there was a app which let you backup/restore your IMEI. You need to have a backup in order to restore it so this won't really help you...
This is what I'm talking about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591997
Edit.: There actually seems to be a way to manually set it but I'm not sure if it is device-specific.
Sent from my XT1032 using xda app-developers app
You can find your Imei on the back of the phone.
If you google android 4.4 set imei you should find something from technostall which might help you
Good luck
Yes, it's on the battery.

I haven't.
I tried to sole this issues re-flashing with different roms, but after several operations it bricked.
It's totally dead, not charging, in linux I can't see device connected, so i think that is dead.
I bought new one.
Good luck with this problem.

I solved the problem, place to charge the phone, let him take some of the load and flash the original ROM, after that flash CM11, and run perfectmente, I think at first it was because I had done without the SIM, the second time you make with the SIM sunset ...

Yes It Does for most of the devices given you should know the proper method.
Mtk is different. It's not the same thing.
Any news?
Also I think the problem is that the imei is on the phone just not on the OS? (obviously, but...)
Maybe when we all reflashed to the original stock (and countless other stocks) they just didn't have the proper folder to access in order to identify what imei they're assigned?
Because every single time I've tried to manually rewrite the imei to it all the methods I've used are futile. Even the ones specially tailored to the Moto G's hardware SnapDragon - Qualcomm...
restore IMEI by Motorola service?
Same problem for me. I am really interested in some experience about restoring IMEI.
Motorola support phorum owner replied that Motorola service can recover IMEI (not covered by any kind of warranty of course).
I have tried to reflash factory ROM with and without inserted SIM card, but unfortunately no difference.
I have seen looking for solution, that for some people Android system sees IMEI=0, but the IME is still untouched using fastboot mode and "fastboot getvar" CLI command
For me it's empty using the "getvar" command as well.
The official service center in Germany told me that they mustn't repair selfmade imei problems :S
Lost IMEI
You could all try this new method claimed to be working but as I have not lost my IMEI I can't say, please report back if it works for you?

[Q] No service on Moto G. Radio's off

After I used the guide to restore the stock/factory firmware to my Moto G xt1032 i could not get any service on my phone. The phone cannot connect to my mobile network. In the settings it says:
Network; Unknown
Signal Strength; 0dBm 99 asu
Mobile network type; Unknown
Service state; Radio off
Roaming; Not Roaming
Mobile network state; Disconnected
I am pretty sure that I installed the right firmware so what should I do?

If i remember correctly, i repeatedly tried it via adb and most of the things flashed good but nonetheless it didnt work..
Finally i used a toolkit to convert to GPE!
But if i were you i would try to flash this via recovery and full wipe http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...p-rom-t3017510
In case it does not work try to flash a lollipop radio image via recovery from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2649763
Good luck

[Q] No network after flashing stock ROM

I've recently restored my phone to it's stock firmware. Everything works great, but sadly the mobile networking doesn't seem to be functioning and the radio is off apparently. The Sim card is OK, it still has my phone number I me I and everything. I tried to find people who had the same problem, but they either had no results or the threads had no replies.
Is there any way I can fix this problem? My phone model is a XT1032 Retail US 210.12.61 and I,ve tried things like putting in *#*#4636#*#* to gain access to the hidden phone settings., but it didn't really do anything.
Also for anyone wondering where I went to restore to stock it was here

the problem is that if you upgrade, bootloader may be changed, so you cannot boot that system anymore.

Are you certain this is H950 we´re talking about?
when you hit *#06# do you get our imei #?
check the back of your phone to see model #.
Did you flash the H950PR kdz wiping the phone or did you see your files still in internal sdcard after flashing?
Sometimes a clean install should fix this.

2. when i install pr rom, it works except sim. then i will try to reboot phone all first settings things comes back, like first phone boot. And i dont have any idea about modem/radio compatiblity too.
3. no any massage, just typing pin code then sim logo and x sign up right corner.
i cant see my imei number too, why?
@Sj12345 can you make an imei backup tool? like the ones autoprime made for the other models when you rooted it made a backup of EFS.
Just asking cause to me it seems the Crossdll to H955 messed with the phones EFS.
Thanks in advance.

Moto G 2015 XT1548 Radio Firmware - SIM Not Detected

Alright, having flashed CM13 and gotten my phone mostly working again, I'm running into issues with the phone not detecting the SIM card. Most of the information I can find indicates that I need to update the radio firmware, but I can't actually find any that works with my phone! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Alright, so I flashed the listed files and got the phone to recognize my SIM card, but now after it boots up and connects, 30 seconds to 2 minutes later it reboots on me. Any ideas?
Edit: I tried the 5.1.1 firmware and that actually seems to have done the trick, for the most part. It shows Sprint as my network, though, and I'm not sure if that's going to cause any issues further down the line.
Edit 2: Actually, after a reboot it's showing the correct network again and everything has been stable.
