We have a mobile app on Android and we are now looking to promote this through Google and Facebook. In order to track the clicks and conversions we obviously need to integrate their SDKs in our mobile app.
However are concerned about our data privacy and therefore we are trying to find out the following:
1. How does SDK work?
2. Do leading players like Google and Facebook collect app usage data through their SDks?
3. If so what kind of data do they collect?

Basically for my final project were working with an external company that want stuff done for free or very close, this includes an android app.
The app im going to try to make will be private for the company to give out locations using google maps and gps/geolocation.
The app will be distributed through the site we are developing to certain users and not featured on the marketplace due to privacy issues.
Problem is I've never developed for android or any mobile platforms and have an extremely basic knowledge of Java but i mainly develop for web and windows using c# so naturally I have a few questions for people with experience in android development.
1. Is it possible to have the app powered by google maps?
2. Any suggestions of how one user will be able to upload gps coordinates to this app?
3. Rough idea of how long it would take e.g. few hours, few days, few months?
4. Overall is it possible, any problems I might run into?
5 Any Advice, tips,or better suggestions?

I’m pretty good with IT and the written word but have no coding experience whatsoever. I want to develop a phone App (both iPhone and Android).
The app will include Google mapping technology, Facebook check in capability, account sign up and message system to fellow subscribers and push notifications triggered by geographical location and in app advertising.
I know there are different web based services and software for App development. But I am totally overwhelmed over where to start and I’d rather not learn to code from scratch.
If anyone could point me in the direction of any required reading/research, web tutorials or lectures I would be most grateful. Or if there is software that would allow me to develop the app easily. I don’t really like to idea of signing up with an online service in case I want to move the app to a business model in the future.
Alternatively any affordable services that allow me to keep full control of the app even if I unsubscribe could work.

hello! This is my first time here.
I am developing a cross platform application from scratch (windows and android).
Its about data mining on windows store and play store.
Data about apps will be collected and will be used to suggest better apps from similar ones.
I have no experience on app development. Since i am doing this with my friends for my college project so its all about learning and implementing.
so my question are
1. what are your suggestions?
2. How can i get raw data form app stores.
3. Are there any quick Gui design tools for android?

I'm new to android app development, got to work on some offline Application development which uses native or mobile (RealmDB) database.
I've couple of things which are not clear before starting up the project. Basically need to develop some game which will have the following features,
User Login, Game Playing , User logout. Once after playing the game result should be synced to some other webApp. Also have around 900-1000 images in the game.
My Questions are,
-- What is the best approach to handle overall App, in terms of Application architecture ?
-- How images can be stored or retrieved in a best / faster way ?
-- About 2 way data sync up, how this can be handled ?
-- About user login, when it is offline App , how user can be validated ?
Can any body help along with example / piece of scenarios.

So I want to create an android reward app. Almost all such apps use sdks from the ad networks, but what if I want to integrate a network, that hasn't got any sdk but only postbacks?
Which services/softwares/tools do I need to
a) receive postbacks to track conversions
b) make a points system
c) store the data
Hopefully someone can help me!
