Is there any way to root this without a pc?
I'm abroad for a few months and have this cyclone 4+ amlogic s905 box and all I have are android tablets and phones. I have micro sd cards etc plus usb mouse and keyboard.
Was hoping to be able to flash root from the box itself via a file on the sd card.
Hi sorry for the delay in replying have just seen your message I rooted it using the same root method for the earlier box using windows 10 adb method over LAN found the method on freaktab I did scour the forums but there's not much help with these boxes and there is so many different ones also haven't found a way to flash twrp I had a lot of trouble with this box wouldn't log in to google play when I received it so had to root it to mod some files it's a pretty good box once you kick it in to shape I use it as a secondary box just got the Rominetak Q-Box Android 5.1 Lollipop TV Box Quad Core 2GB/16GB has that 2gb ram makes it a bit faster hope you find a way to root it makes it much better box once you do.

Got my hands on a PICO Projector that is powered by Android 5.1.1 from Keuro in China. Works with MiraCast and Happy Cast. Comes loaded with a ROM that has some video options, but I am going to experiment on trying to root this thing and put TWRP on it so I can load a custom Rom for possibly Android TV. Here is the manual with tech specs - http://www.keruotv.com/r/cms/kr/default/keruo l7 user guide.pdf
I have side loaded the following apps, Play Store, Netflix, Direct TV Now, Watch ESPN, CBS All Access, Prime Video, For Sports. The all run, but are kind of wonky as they want to work with touch not a IR Remote.
It has an ARM quad core A53 64 bit processor with 1 GB of DDR and 8Gb storage - was wanting to know if that if solid enough to run Lollipop or Marshmallow if I root?
Thanks for any help or suggestions
I have a Chinese TV box that i bought couple years back.
I would like to update android as i had some issues with google services.
Pics of my unit:

During the research i noticed it nearly the same as Allwinner A83TDevBoard.

Is there any chance for getting any recent Android version that would work with that unit?
It should support basics: IR, USB, HDMI, WiFi and Ethernet.
Thanks
Seems android 5.1 is the latest version for this SoC, but seems have only tablet SDK. Which Android version you have now?
