According to logs, ffmpeg has halted the playback since the media has reached the "End of Stream". The link you have tried has expired now. So, unable to stream at all. It will be better if you can provide the main Source link of the stream. I will test it myself.

It seems to be a network issue. I have played for 30min in 3 test devices.
Is it only happens with MX?

It's definitely a server side or network side issue. Probably server might be killing idle connections when there is no buffering.

Hello after a long time
Here's a new bug report, i've tried various streaming links, from official links and unofficial one, but still having the same issue.
I've checked the report and it says 404 error from the server side, but its weird because the stream is on and working and it's always on.
Report in the attachments.

Based on the report, the video session has closed as it has reached the end of stream. When video duration is unknown, even connection drop also considered as and of stream. Can you provide some sample links to test?

Example link: http://beout-iptv.com:7777/live/tamermeslem/pyQ7QMWGma/5982.ts
I've "managed" to kinda solve the issue by enable looping, when i searched "ts stream stops after few seconds" it showed that the ts stream stops after 20 seconds because it fails to buffer.
But the thing is, there are websites with players (online embeded players) which use the example stream link but without any stopping issue. It only happens when using a mobile player like MX and VLC.

Because embedded players for live streaming is designed to always reconnect when connecction dropped. But, not in the case of standalone. Because, they don't know whether the stream is live one or a static video. Generally when the connection is closed on streaming link with unknown duration it's considered as end of stream.
Looping is definitely a good workaround in this situation. As it's a live stream when it loops always loads the current video. So, it will work as intended.

Hi,
I use MX Player and it's a very good product. I like it very much, it's very convenient but I have a little problem.
I have a satellite receiver which records movies in .ts files. I can read them with MX Player but when I use << and >> keys, the result is erratic. In the parameters, I've chosen to skip back 7 seconds and for example when I press "Skip back", it skips 30 seconds forward. If I maintain the pressure on the << and >> keys, it's also erratic. It works well with .avi files and .wmv files.
I could convert .ts files in .avi files but it's very long, it takes several hours to convert some files.
Is it possible MX Player run .ts files as other files?
Thank you .
Jean-Louis
Actually MX uses key frames rather than exact time frame for fast seeking.
You can disable it from Settings》Player 》 Fast Seek.
Additionaly for better navigation you can adjust the speed of swipe & forward button from Settings 》 Player 》 Navigation

Thank you for your response .
I've already adjusted the speed of previous and forward button in "Settings 》 Player 》 Navigation", that's why it skips 7 seconds previously or forward when I press the << and >> keys. It's very convenient.
I've disabled key frames for fast seeking in "Settings》Player 》 Fast Seek" but it's the same thing, the result is erratic .
Hi,
There is no solution for this problem please?
Thank you for your help.

Remux to mkv and try again & report here.
Note:
Remux won't take much time since there is no encoding.

Ok, can you say me which application to use? I've tried tsMuxeR to convert it in M2TS but it was not efficient on the Galaxy S2 even if it is on my TV. However, it's a little complex because I have to copy all the movies from my satellite recorder to the PC, convert them and copy them on the smartphone. I would prefer to copy them directly on the smartphone, it's more convenient and quicker .
On another thread, I have posted I have problems with HD .ts files, I lost sound or the image jams. I can't see them. I've tried HW and SW modes with no effect even if I don't know what these modes mean.
I haven't any problem with BSPlayer but it's not as convenient as MXPlayer.
Thank you .
@sjlouis
I have tried myself with two videos with different codecs ( mpeg2 / AVC-h264) in ts, m2ts & mkv containers. But, I can't reproduce any problems. I think it's device/android specific.
Can you provide the following details?
Device ?
Android Version ?
Rom whether stock or custom?
MX Player version?
Detailed media info?
Can you attach a detailed logcat which can be collected using mx log collctor immediately after closing Player/Video?
Sent from my Galaxy S5 using Tapatalk
Device ? Samsung Galaxy S2
Android Version ? 4.1.2
Rom whether stock or custom? Samsung version modified with kernel : 3.0.31 - Jeboo_Kernel_v1.2a+
MX Player version? 1.7.26
Detailed media info? If I press on the file, I have the name, the size, the date of the copy... but nothing technical. If I list the files with Windows 7, the type is "Video MPEG-2 TS". There are created by an Enigma box, OpenPli 4.0. I don't know if that can help you.
Can you attach a detailed logcat which can be collected using mx log collctor immediately after closing Player/Video?
I've seen there is an application whose name is "MX Log Collector". Ok I can download it but is it difficult to obtain the logcat?
I can try to read these files on my wife's phone. Do you want?
Thank you .
I've tried with the Samsung ACE 3, Android 4.2.2, rom stock Samsung, kernel 3.4.0-2575110 and there are the same problems.
@sjlouis
Simple way is Just run the mx log collctor immediately after closing the player.
If you are rooted then lot of apps available in the play store which can collect the logs in background.
Sent from my Galaxy S5 using Tapatalk
Run MX Log Collector immediately after reproducing the playback issue with HD .ts files, and post the logs here.
Ok I'll trying to use the Log Collector. I don't know if I will use it immediately because I'm a little busy these days, but I'll do it .
I can go backward and forward with these files with VLC on my Windows PC. I can't use them on my TV Samsung even if it's a "very good" TV and not too old (2 years), but I can use them on the less "good" TVs of my family (one is a very "poor" TV). I've joined Samsung support but they don't say me anything interesting.
But I don't try to read HD files.
First I'm going to use the Log Collector but I can send you files. I don't know if there is a solution to use Internet for so big files, but I can copy them on a DVD disc and send it to you by post.
Thank you .
Hi,
I've loaded MX Log Collector but what do I do? Do I read a movie a few seconds, I stop it and I lauch the Log Colector? Or do I read the movie, I try to go forward and backward?
At the end, MX Log Collector wants to send a mail. Do I copy the mail and the joined files in this post?
Thank you .

Open MX Player & reproduce the problem. Then immediately open mx log collector. better to save it in mail & download it.
Alternatively,
when it ask to select the app to share select an email client like gmail and minimize
Open /sdcard/android/data/com.mxtech.logcollector
Here you you can find the log.txt.gz

Hi,
Sorry, I was a little busy .
Ok, I've done what you said. On the first test (files xxx1), when I press the << key, it doesn't jump backward 7 seconds as I defined it in the parameters, but it jumps forward 30 to 60 seconds every time. I've not done the test in this files but it also jumps ~60 seconds forward when I press >> key even if I also defined 7 seconds in the parameters.
In the second test (files xxx2), I read an HD file and I lots the sound for a few seconds and it does it regularly. On preceding test, I also lost the picture but it's not the case in this test. If you want I can do an other record to show it (I don't use normally HD record, the files are too big but some TV channels haven't SD movies).
In the mails created by the Log Collector, I have :

@bleu8888 please take a look at the logs.
Would you send me a sample video clip?
This should work with fast seek disabled.
But this feature may not work if exact seeking takes too long time (typically 6 seconds).
If time is the problem, i will consider increasing timeout time or add additional option for it.

Sorry about that. It is not matter if it can produce this problem.

Detailed Problem Description : MX Player stops playback and returns back to video selection menu at random intervals. Reselecting the video and reseeking to the time where it crashes allows it to play normally, however it will stop playing and go back to the video selection menu again randomly.
All logs (attached latest one) produced have ended with
Code:

07-18 13:56:50.925 2708 2708 D dalvikvm: VFY: replacing opcode 0x62 at 0x01b7
I have tried wiping the dalvik-cache, using SW only encoding, using custom codecs from the forum, updating the player and codec (x86). Nothing has worked yet.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I hadn't updated the player for a long time (over a year). Downgrading back to 1.7.26 with 1.7.25 codecs seems to have solved this problem for the time being. Google-fu would indicate application incompatibility with the ROM on this tablet.
I am currently having the same problem with Videos closing randomly.

Hmm, did you guys have problems with older versions of the app?
I've been using MX Player/Player Pro for over a year, with the problem starting maybe 2 months(?) ago.
Hmm, @bleu8888 will have to take a look then.
I have suddenly stopping playback too(Asus MeMO Pad FHD 10, MX Player Pro). But as I found, source of problem is subtitles. When I disable it, all right.
My ARM smartphone is playing this files with no problem.

Hello,
I am experiencing the following problem on MX Player Pro during video streams lately:
The player crashes and just closes on different points of the video.
Sometimes after a few seconds. Sometimes after minutes.
I always need at least 2-3 restarts to watch a 50 minutes video.
When I start the same video stream again after a crash the player doesn't offer me to start from last moment and just starts from beginning.
When I manually close a video stream and start it again MX player asks me where to start, as it should.
I don't have the same problem with locally stored videos. Other video player do not have the same problem with the same video streams.
Here is the crash report:
mega.nz/#!3Q1nyRLK!Y6W_pTECbP2EbyVJ1-bw2-_VNvD_Sa7rYq2NVbO4qu4
More Information:
Moto G falcon 2013
LineageOS
Android 7.1.2
I hope someone can help to find the problem.
Greetings!
I've got the same symptom - recently MX Player for me is becoming quite unreliable, having been perfect for a very long time.
I'm currently testing VLC to make sure it isn't an issue with my files.

Kindly share a bug report from MX Player help menu with us. Without proper logs, it's very difficult to identify the root cause of the issue. In most of the cases, it's caused by the connection closure on the server end.
I feel like this problem is solved, and I never got to upload my bug report.
Actually it still does for me. Using FireTV stick 2. and It once happened on my android7.0 phone as well.

Hi guys, here are my log files from crashes that have been happening ALOT lately.
Info :
MX Player Pro Version : 1.10.50 (Custom Codec Tegra 3 1.9.18.2)
Device Manufacturer & Model : Asus ME301T
Android Version : 4.4.4
Rom Info: Stock/Custom Rom details : Omni 4.4.4
Detailed Problem Description : On nearly every video start or end "MX Player has stopped" and comes back to file list, sometimes even "crashes to desktop".
Steps to reproduce the problem : Tap on a video to play it, "MX Player has stopped" and interface comes back to the list. Sometimes tapping the same video again will then play fine. Sometimes 10 videos in a row will crash, sometimes 1 crash per 10 videos. Sometimes crash on video end, just as it's going back to the list. It's too random to determine a crash patern other than that. Sometimes after a tablet reboot, it's fine for 10min then starts to crash again.
Bug Reports (alot of them) attached to this post.
Older versions of MX Player Pro didn't have this problem at all, i don't remember seeing a crash in years before, anyone thinks by going back to "stable" instead of "Beta" i could at least watch my videos ??
Also, i wanted to try removing my custom codec, but can't seem to find a way to do that, anyone care to show me ? :fingers-crossed:

UPDATE : ISSUE RESOLVED ! >> Settings > Audio > Audio Output > Java AudioTrack

There seem to be some issues with the audio output method. Can you please change it to a different method on Settings > Audio > Audio Output and check again?
To unload the custom codecs, tap on the custom codec option in Settings > Decoder and select "Use Default Codec" in the browse window.
Sure, there is Auto-Select (ticked) then OpenSL, Native AudioTrack and Java AudioTrack.
So i select any of those 3 and try again ?
I'll try that and post results here later today !
(I'll keep my custom codec since it doesnt seem to be related ?)
Ok i tried every option one by one, OpenSL crashes, Native AudioTrack crashes but Java AudioTrack seems to do the trick ! Loaded about 15 videos in a row without crashing on Java, while the other choices wouldn't even load any of my videos anymore.
So for everyone having this issue, try :
Settings > Audio > Audio Output > Java AudioTrack
THANKS for helping me @ MX Player
It took me almost a whole week to isolate issues between Emby DLNA server, Bubbleupnp, and MX Player on Android side...now I'm finally confident enough to report the bug (without bothering the wrong people).
By the way your app is the only one (out of 10+ Android video players) which can decode extra subtitle stream feeding from bubbleupnp. Thank you for putting extra effort to implementing this part of specific code.
Device Manufacturer & Model : Htc 10
Android Version : 8.0
Rom Info: Stock/Custom Rom details Stock
Detailed Problem Description :
From log:
These are the two EXTERNAL subtitle transferred via DLNA, feeded from bubbleupnp android client. (emby dlna server on server side)
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 1) subs=[http://192.168.2.10:8096/Videos/63308/7f086dd972c1dcfd148f2a4e450bfa30/Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 2) title=[Airota&VCB-Studio] Fate stay night Heaven's Feel I - presage flower [Ma10p_1080p][x265_flac]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 3) subs.enable=[http://192.168.2.10:8096/Videos/63308/7f086dd972c1dcfd148f2a4e450bfa30/Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 4) from_bubbleupnp=true
11-13 02:54:38.732 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: << Saved >>
However, you can check this screenshot:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/u4sr5r50ez8aju8/2019-11-13 02.56.29.png?dl=0
There are two subtitle streams.
/Subtitles/5/0/Stream.ass failed to load, ignored by MX Player as a result. (Thus, only 1 stream of subtitle, /Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass is available, and it should be 2)
I can confirm that the metadata from bubbleupnp is right, the link /5/0/Stream.ass and /4/0/Stream.ass are all readable via ordinary web browsers, and the DLNA module log form emby media server does not produce any error during the test.
Steps to reproduce the problem :
1. Emby DNLA server, make video direct streaming without transcoding; Make a device profile with full EXTERNAL SUBTITLE/format support (also to prevent transcoding and to make sure subtitle stream is transferred via DLNA).
2.Install bubbleupnp and mxplayer on android
3.Bubbleupnp->browse dlna server->choose to play any videofile with 2 or more external subtitles
4.Only one external subtitle is displayed within MX Player. It's worth mentioning that the two or more internal subtitles in mkv/mp4 worked fine, mostly because MX Player's splitter worked VERY WELL.

Possible solution:
Read more than 1 subtitle stream from Bubbleupnp, if there's any.
If Bubbleupnp somehow failed to correctly convey multiple subtitle stream(unlikely, as it's been correctly shown in the metadata info, as shown in the previous pic), please tell me - maybe I can report this to bubbleupnp's developer.
Bug Report is attached.
Thank you for this great app, the other competitors are not even close - not even VLC player.

Thanks for your efforts on investigating this. However, We can see only one URI in Subs array passed to MX. We couldn't locate any logs related to "/5/0/Stream.ass".
Could you double-check again?
I can't seem to find the log from bubbleupnp, apart from the metadata screenshot.
If you're sure that bubbleupnp failed to pass the 2nd subtitle stream to MXplayer(since it's not seen in MXplayer's log), I'll file an issue report to bubbleupnp to see if it's on their side.
Thank you for clear things up!

Logs with "MX.Screen/Dump" tag is nothing but the dump of intent used to launch the app, and we can see only one URI in the Subs array. So, we strongly suggest you check with Bubblepnp team so that they can get it sorted.
Thank You.

Sorry if this is not the correct thing to do I am new to these forums and when I saw this thread to do with missing subtitles I was very interested.
On programs (movies) recorded from Free to Air TV from some channels there are some lines of dialogue that do not get displayed on screen when playing in MX Player.
Played in PotPlayer on Windows all dialogue is displayed.
This was after I informed of the issue and they fixed it.
I have posted this in general questions and was advised by a helpful member to email MX Player support with a link to a file where the issue occurs.
I did this and also have previously emailed about this to support but have received no response.
I realise they would receive possibly thousands of emails daily but I am just hoping mine is not overlooked.
I can supply here a link to the file but I am afraid it is not the right thing to do.
Please try to make your excellent MX Player on Android as good as Potplayer on Windows.

Have tried now many times to contact support .
Have sent from different email accounts but still absolutely no response from support.
