Hello All~
This is my first thread here in XDA
I had modified these OxygenOS Community Build SystemUI for personal use... but then i decided to share it here in XDA
You guys might be knowing how ugly the dropdown notification panel looks on changing DPI as everything moves on to the left hand side. Here are some systemUIs with proper alignment for different DPIs.
I have modified the OxygenOS CE 3.5.5 SystemUI for this.
These apks have not been tested in previous community builds
Edit: Users report SystemUI crash in older builds
So please use only on community build 3.5.5
1)440dpi
2)420dpi
4)400dpi
5)380dpi
6)360dpi
7)340dpi
8)***A 480DPI SysUI which makes N-ify module looks decent***(It won't make the original Quick settings on N-ify module work)
480dpi mod will look like this

One question, In OOS 3.2.7, the camera app, whatsapp(changing profile pic), instagram(uploading picture and changing profile pic), all act weird when i change dpi. Could you please confirm if the same happens on this CB as well?

What do you mean by "weird"? I have learned that camera will get a solid green picture if you modify build.prop to change DPI directly.

Camera: Controls are misaligned when using Manual Camera. The slider is messed up.
Whatsapp: You can select a picture but it won't show you properly when you get to the cropping part.
Instagram: When uploading or changing dp, same thing happens. "You can select a picture but it won't show you properly when you get to the cropping part. "
Let me know if you need additional details?

Problem...
I think I need your help. I've flashed fresh CE build (FreedomOS), changed DPI to 400 and then replaced APK in folder. Change permissions and after reboot only I can see is wallpaper on main screen - nothing else
Premissions are RW R R like oryginal APK...
After I reflash ROM, main wallpaper is blur...
Any sugestions?

Nope, it doesn't :/ but honestly OnePlus should really fix their scaling. Android 7.x can scale everything. They are using Nougat's UI so why aren't we able to scale it properly...

They are not using nougat's ui, but a blatant copy which does not resemble it apart from the quick settings animation.

The buttons are pretty acceptable. I understand that changing the DPI will mess up the buttons as they have to animate it separately, but the notification panel is just unacceptable.

Yeah I know, but it's just lame.. I honestly wouldn't have cared for these community builds, just bringing us Nougat would have been better. It's good to see they're actually working on updates, but in my opinion they're still not heading in the right direction haha
can you fix the shut down menu for lower DPI???

As you guys can see, FileDash was much more important than scaling and usability. Because there is always a chance you'll be close by to another OnePlus user who is willing to share something and needs FileDash.

{4/21/2011/8:04PM PST}Sorry for the glitchy zip on the font packaged theme. I reformatted the whole thing and the tester reports proper function.(The one posted before this edit caused cpu to always run at 998mhz, the phone to be sluggish, and random reboots to occur.)
Alright. The Title contains WIP because This isnt what I'd call a complete theme yet. This thread is for suggestions, testing, and even installing, should one like it the way it is. Bugs, not workings, those 9 yards, all go here, as usual.
This is a 2.2 FroYo Theme, based on the arc theme default in Wolfbreak's CyanogenMod. Therefore, the HW LED's work. I'd love to have auto brightness instead, so if anyone knows how to do that PLEASE PM me. What I'm talking about is the opposite of say Wolf patching a theme for HW LED's between buttons.
SCREENSHOTS of V0.1/V0.3- it's a mishmash of what i didnt need to post another shot of and what I did:

Now that I'm close to beign done fixing things(I hope), I have a vote to take in.
Tell me what battery icon mod you want that's not crossed out from below.
Don't worry about Animation, or that first REVolution (it only has that blue dot in the middle). I'll test out the smooth one and if it doesnt work then I'll just keep the normal one.
EDIT: I have the zip working again. Question is, do we want to keep simacid's battery mod? Because I currently have that hoooolm battery icon. The charging animation is also really great, and the icon fades through the colors as the battery charges/discharges. Once that's decided, I'll update OP with the other features I added. Then I might find time to make a flashable zip of the font.
Need opinions, guys.

I'm working on it!
At the moment it gives me a blank black page on the second page when I try. But I'll keep working on it
Did a little digging and it turns out that it's the small horizontal notification toggle bar that is inflated into the large toggle page.
This means that it's not possible to hide the small bar through the xml (Which also explains why I get the black page when hiding the small toggle row).
I'll take a look at the smali after my exams (It's gotta be in there), but for now this is what you get
If anyone has any ideas or wants to help me with the smali edit, just PM me or write here.

Want to port your own TWRP Theme?:
So, if you don't know then I will share it here and inform the masses who read this .
I wrote two scripts, TWRPUI and TWRPIMAGE, that will port a TWRP theme from one resolution to another. I'm continuously looking for ways to improve it but for now it works VERY good.
It is best to grab a TWRP theme which is based on a higher resolution and port it to your lower resolution and for good reasons too. Enlarging the theme from a small resolution to a larger resolution could cause wear and tear on the theme by making it not appear as crisp and clean as it should.
Anyways, I will keep it short, but please note that GraphicsMagick is required in order to use TWRPIMAGE. I have compiled it for ARM devices and it can be found in my repo called, gm.
In addition, both scripts require the use of busybox.
Feel free to play around with it and if you come up with an idea for either of the scripts please feel free to share your insights with me.
Remember, the only stupid question or idea is the one which is not shared or expressed .
https://github.com/ModdingMyMind/TWRP_IMAGE_PORTER
To use the TWRP Theme, you must go to /sdcard/TWRP on your device and create another folder named, theme. Then take the zip and rename it to ui.zip. Place the ui.zip inside of the theme folder. Reboot in to your custom recovery and enjoy. If you wish to not use it anymore, then just delete the zip file.
If you enjoy these themes, then a simple click on the thanks button will suffice. Please be sure to go and give thanks to the original author's as well.
If you find something out of place or simply wrong with the theme, please bring it to my attention.
I am only one guy, and so with that said, I can only recognize and spot so many things on my behalf.
To help resolve any issue's, then it will be YOUR obligation to speak up about it. I will not be offended, but pleased to know of the current situation so that I may be able to resolve the problem with a solution.
Thanks and enjoy these themes.

Some features in the pip boy theme will not work because it is built around the latest version of TWRP which ours do not currently obstain, like HTC Dumlock for example, so the icons will still be there in the theme but depending on whether or not the twrp being used has those particular features will determine whether or not those functions will be enabled or disabled. Either way, it will not render the ability to use the theme at all.
And a side note.... That pip boy theme is freakin SICK!!!
Got some more work to do to it, but will hopefully have it up and going soon. The work week is about to start for me so I will be slightly delayed working on it.

Try This
Its rather easy to port. Most of the variables at the beginning of the ui.xml file will be the same as the original twrp stock ui.xml file. To speed the process up, I use an application on linux called, Meld Diff Viewer. It allows me to compare folders and files so I can see the exact differences between them which is easier on the eyes and can give me the ability to quickly see and adjust what needs to change and what doesn't. For the extra variables found in the ui.xml file you are trying to port that isn't seen in the twrp stock ui.xml in regards to the variable sources found at the top of the file will simply be divided or multiplied depending upon the change in the resolution. However, there is only two values when doing the math that can give %100 results without the requirement of making slight adjustments here and there. That is dividing/multiplying by either the number one or two. 1.5 will only give up to %50 in results and so therefore will require some slight editing afterwards. In my case, I am going from 1080 to 480 so I have to use 2.25. This is well over %100 which actually causes a negative effect and so I must go through each page of TWRP and make the necessary changes needed in order for the theme to fit properly; which is where GIMP comes in to play lol.

Oh, and to add to my novel above lol...
The tedious part is all the calculating, and having to bounce back and forth between the recovery on your device to confirm what is and isn't working so you can go back to the drawing board on your computer lol. @lordvincent 90 knows exactly what I am talking about and he shares my pain on this lol.

Sorry for the delay on Pip_Boy guys. Work has been crazy. Getting an early start on my weekend off. A good update however, is that a majority of the work is already done from last weekend. Still some things that need to be worked out. Will be working on it again. If all goes well, I should have it up and going by this Sunday at the latest, but please, don't hold me to my words lol. I have a lovely lady to keep happy also.

Hmm, gonna be a delay. Something in the script is offsetting my Y and X values by adding on to my calculation which is in turn, over shooting them. Now its finding a needle in a haystack. Whatever is causing it is slowing me down. If it weren't for this problem, the port would be completed already. Gonna have to work on it some more fellas.

Hi all,
Obviously I haven't been maintaining this thread/theme for some time... I think it is safe to say that it has been abandoned, I have removed all of the remaining download links although you can find everything that was posted on this thread here.
Cheers.

Hi Guys/Gals,
Thought I would share this.
When I was looking for a way to change the S-View clock, all information was either for other devices or simply didn't work, see below for a short 'How To'.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Wallpapers can be found here.
To change your S-View cover clock font, it is as simple as choosing your font, renaming it to 'SamsungSans-Num45.ttf' then pushing it to system\fonts. (not quite this simple but this is the guts of it)
One thing before you race off to do it. You have limited space to deal with, so you can't go too crazy (unless you change the dimensions in an XML I cant remember the location of). You can still change the dimensions in the XML if you want a clock that is larger than stock, but then you would need to move everything so there is no overlap.
To get mine perfect I had to modify the font file, changing the metrics, scale and position as well as character spacing. All fonts are different so there is a bit of trial and error to get it just right.
After making a few more, I found for the best results you need to add the "highdef" glyph from the stock font. After you have added and named it correctly you need to move the place markers to a position that varies for each font. For the bottom marker, move it to just below the baseline (very bottom of the font), for the top marker move it to the same distance above the Winascent as between x-height and capheight (this varies).
To save a little space you can delete all characters except: notdef, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, colon and highdef.
Also, make sure your font is unicode, if it is symbol it won't work. Any good font creator/editor should allow you to convert between the formats.
That's it, now you can mix it up if you want and add things like I did with the Mario font (colon).
Installation:
1. Use a custom recovery and simply install the Zip
or
2. Extract the font, push it to system\fonts and set permissions -rw-r--r-- then hot-reboot or reboot.
Uninstall (revert to stock):
Just flash the Stock font zip from here.
If you make any fonts post them here so we can all share.
Enjoy.
Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find the correct information.
PS: This is not the lock-screen clock font this is only for the S-View clock. The lock-screen clock is a set of .png's in an apk (Keyguard if I remember correctly) that you can edit.
Reserved.
How did you changed the wallpaper of s view lock screen?

I would say no, just use CWM, TWRP or any custom recovery variant. Or extract the font file and push it to system\fonts with your favourite root explorer set permissions rw-r-r then reboot and enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE: Since these Softkeys are targeted at non-root users, the icon for "recent apps" is used instead of the "menu" buttons. This might not please everybody, but if you want me to change it, just request it!
The icons used in the first version for Quickmemo and Notification panel drop-down are grey AOSP ones. If you want the "original" where Recents, back and home are Android L-themed, please look further below.
DOWNLOAD LINKS:
First version where the "menu" softkeys are themed as "recents" - this is mostly for non-root users who'd like the look of stock AOSP, but cannot get the "recents"- button on their navbarhttps://www.sendspace.com/file/hi7vqq
Second version: There was a request for a "normal" one, download that here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l5j6wiipbzv6z4j/vProAndroidLSoftkeys.apk?dl=0
Changes: Back, Home, Recents, Qmemo and Menu are Android L themed, . Credits for navbar base: @AyDee. Credits for menu and Qmemo icons go to motomoto00. This one is what you would use if you are rooted and have the recent apps button. This one DOES indeed work!
Updated as of November 22.
2.0 (Black Icons on White Background
Download here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ymykax
Back, Home and Recent buttons are Android L-themed, Qmemo and notification dropdown are custom.
If you have any requests, please let me know!
Installation instructions
After installing the APK, go into "Settings", "Display", "Front Touch Buttons" and lastly go into "Colour". Then either pick AOSP vPro97 Softkeys or AOSP Softkeys (depending on which one you downloaded).
The only way to make these custom icons stick on home screen on a non-rooted device is by disabling transparancy in Settings-Screen-Touch Buttons menu. With a rooted device, install either G2Tweaksbox or G3Tweaksbox depending on which rom you are using. These custom icons work on both G2 roms and G3 ported roms and you can easily uninstall it again.
Possibly an utterly daft question, and I should frankly know better. But, I assume being rooted wont be a problem to having these?
Also, as I use g2 Tweaksbox and xposed and bleed immersive mode etc, would that all work with these icons?
Great softkeys, pls make 'normal' edition where recent is recent button and menu ise menu...

Downloaded and installed. Any help about how to set them as default? I went to settings - front touch buttons - but it takes me to g2 xposed nav bar settings. I can get to thw point where I can select a new icon but can't find these.

You might have to disable G2 xposed or at least the nav bar options. It seems it overrides the stock front touch button options. In G2 xposed you just load png images of each key and it will not work with the TweaksBox options.
Edit- I haven't used bleed immersive. I was thinking of tinted status bar option in TweaksBox which works the same. Not sure how it will work with BIM...
Disabled the nav bar settings and tried installing again. Took me to the buttons menu in settings. They werent there to choose, will prob leave it for now, am just getting impatient for L already ha ha.

They are labeled AOSP VPro97 or something like that.
Yeah I'm sorry, I don't know how to rename them just yet. I'm hoping to learn that before my next batch of softkeys!

Thanks bud! It's great receiving such feedback for my first contribution to this community. As I said, should you have any specialised requests for navbars, let me know! Summer vacation is up over and I intend on delving deeper into developing apps, this is just the beginning! Once again a huge thanks to @AyDee who taught me the basics and gave me the tools!
