Slim Case thats semi translucent

Hello,
I have a Moto X Pure on the way and I would like to get a case for it that allows me to show the phones back colors while protecting it to some degree and not make it so much larger and bulkier. The phones back color is Deep Sea Blue
The cases that stand out to me are the Incipio Octane, I-Blason Halo & Vena Retain. Do you folks have other suggestions ?
Any experience or input if those cases would allow the Blue to show through ?

I got a clear TPU case from EBay for $4 and its very slim and fell nice in hand since the back curves with the phone.

I just picked up a pleson clear case from amazon for 7.95 the other week, So far i like the case alot, its very slim and fits great

If you want a completely clear case and are comfortable with all TPU - then +1 on the Pleson: http://amzn.to/1NuSTcr, or if you want a hybrid (Colored TPU sides with a hard clear back) then the Vena Retain is a good choice too: http://amzn.to/1OCskTL.
I have both, and my personal choice as a daily driver is the Pleson. It's a bit slimmer and really shows off the back of my red leather. But either are good choices.

I have the i-Blason case. I think it was about $14 on Amazon. Thin. Shows the back fine and has a bumper (I got the black bumper). I think the only case thinner would be one without a bumper.

I appreciate all the info guys...I wonder what the difference between the I-Blason and Vena case is, are the materials the same, anyone have both ?

I use the Vena vskin, what I like about it is its totally clear, fits the moto x snugly, easy to push the buttons and the back isnt a hard plastic but softer so it doesn't scratch up at all, Plus it was cheap, got it off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flexible-Tr...id=100040&rk=1&rkt=4&mehot=pp&sd=381431952096

Hello Talon, I no longer have the Moto X Pure but rather the LG Nexus 5X, if you have a case for that model i would be happy to review it for XDA and Amazon

I'll review the case! My wife has the moto x pure and we have not yet been super pleased with any case yet. She has been sticking with the incipio octane but we were thinking about ordering your guys' case to replace it since people really seem to dig it!

idk if it helps, but this is the aforementioned Incipio Octane. I wanted the same, a semitransparent case that was well made and would hold up and also still fit after i applied a dbrand skin. Incipio sells these on ebay directly. Express Depot is the name of their store, iirc.
i also bought a dual pro as that is my go-to case for any phone, but i keep going back to the Octane. pictures in ads/on websites dont do it justice.

I bought a caseology case and the cutouts were not precise at all and i manually cut the frame because when i installed it the volume down button was always pressed.

Advices about two heavy duty cases

Hi there,
I just received my new 128GB Pixel XL. I want to buy a heavy duty rugged case. I found thoses two and I want to know if any of you have use these cases before. I know the Defender series from Otterbox is the better but I dont have 80$ to put on a case.
I tried to post pics but the forums didnt allow me to post them ... Sorry about that.

If you want a heavy duty case. The Otterbox Defender is one of the best.

I like Supcase (Unicorn Beetle, actually) when it comes to heavy duty cases. I haven't tried their Pixel XL model yet but plan to. I used to have one for the LG G3-4 and they were great. Built-in screen protector and added grip on the sides.
As of right now, I am using a Caseology Parallax. It looks quite nice but wouldn't label it "Heavy Duty". I also like Obliq cases on Amazon.
All of these can be had for 1/4 of the Otterbox cases. Otterbox is rather pricey but they do have good customer service and hassle-free warranty.
As for the two you are talking about, I would go for the youmaker one. It seems to offer better protection.

I bought the poetic revolution case for the XL. They're pretty heavy duty and well made for $15

I finally order the YouMaker on Amazon. I m supposed to receive it jan. 9 so I will let you know what I think about it anyways for 25 box including shipping to Canada I had nothing to loose !

Rhinoshield and more accessories

Finally shipped my 6p in for my pixel 2 XL trade-in, now i'm going through all my leftover accessories..
Anybody want a basically brand new Rhinoshield bumper,
unused Xtremeguard Spartan Tempered glass screen protector,
Or a full Dbrand black carbon fiber skin set? I opted for the white carbon fiber nexus lettering.

I am still rocking the 6P and probably will be for at least another year or so, so I would love these things, I have thought about the Rhino Shield and DBrand skin combo for a few months but just havent dropped the money on the purchase. Located in Ontario Canada.

I've been using this shield for a year now. Fits awesome and the price is right. That shield plus the spigen case has been industructable. I've dropped it hard at work concrete floor and not a scratch.

[Q] Blu Vivo X cases

Bought the Blu Vivo X a couple of weeks ago and there is still no cases for this phone. The phone came with a gel case but it doesn't protect it. Any chance anyone has seen one other than the wallet type?

There are a couple of cases available now on Amazon via Kugi...clear, and smoke/grey they call black. I have the smoke grey one, but doesn't offer any more protection than the factory case - I just didn't want the pattern case that came with the phone. Amazon this week got them available for US shipping so they're not coming from China anymore. There are also fitted PU leather cases via Sunway available on Amazon and a Skinomi Skin for the Vivo X. Good luck... it would be nice to see some dual-layer cases, but this phone appears to be made by Gionee for Blu and doesn't have a direct Chinese version unlike a lot of other Blu products, so the market is going to be smaller and manufacturers are less likely to build cases for this one-off US only phone. With a curved screen, tempered glass protectors are tough to find as well, but there is a Chinese-based supplier that sells a full-screen glass protector with a black surround - I'm expecting delivery by the end of the week and the early reviews on Amazon are positive.
