Hi there,
I just received my new 128GB Pixel XL. I want to buy a heavy duty rugged case. I found thoses two and I want to know if any of you have use these cases before. I know the Defender series from Otterbox is the better but I dont have 80$ to put on a case.
I tried to post pics but the forums didnt allow me to post them ... Sorry about that.
The first one is this one on ebay from SOGA
For Google Pixel XL [Tri-Guard Case] + Belt Clip & Built in Screen Protector
The second one is the Youmaker on Amazon
Google Pixel XL Case, YOUMAKER Full-body Rugged Belt Clip Holster Case with Built-in Screen Protector for Google Pixel 5.5 inch (2016 Release) - Black/Black
Thanks and happy holidays

If you want a heavy duty case. The Otterbox Defender is one of the best.

I like Supcase (Unicorn Beetle, actually) when it comes to heavy duty cases. I haven't tried their Pixel XL model yet but plan to. I used to have one for the LG G3-4 and they were great. Built-in screen protector and added grip on the sides.
As of right now, I am using a Caseology Parallax. It looks quite nice but wouldn't label it "Heavy Duty". I also like Obliq cases on Amazon.
All of these can be had for 1/4 of the Otterbox cases. Otterbox is rather pricey but they do have good customer service and hassle-free warranty.
As for the two you are talking about, I would go for the youmaker one. It seems to offer better protection.

I bought the poetic revolution case for the XL. They're pretty heavy duty and well made for $15
I finally order the YouMaker on Amazon. I m supposed to receive it jan. 9 so I will let you know what I think about it anyways for 25 box including shipping to Canada I had nothing to loose !

Just curious what everyone's Favorite case for their HTC Sensation 4g is? I was looking at otter box but my son's otter box for his iPad has torn apart and that mif's me. Which do you guys like and why?
the case is attractive.
I'm using a Qubits Twill TPU case. It was only a few UK Pounds on Amazon, so it'll probably be less than 5 US Dollars.
I can't post a link yet as this is my first post
case
otterbox!
I prefer Ballistic or Otterbox cases for drop protection
Well, the warranty for this thing expires very soon, so I ought to take the best care of it that I can (within reason, of course).
There are quite a few options for case and screen protector... which are worth the cash? Otterbox has a reputation for building good cases, and the Commuter is about $30 shipped from Amazon $20 shipped from eBay sellers. There's also Ballistic's offering, which follows the same design principles as the Otterbox, but costs 1/3 the price, doesn't come with covers for the ports, and for all I know, isn't as strong.
But it could be. I don't know, haha.
There's also the battery pack cases... which retail for anywhere between $40-100, afaik. I have no idea if they're worth it.
Same deal with screen protectors: which is worth the money? I despise the orange-peel effect but really want to protect the glass from scratching (Corning, when's GG3 going into production? Revision 2 still scratches like a mo'!). There's offerings from Zagg and XOSkins and ArmorSuit and the myriad "no-name" brands discoverable through Amazon (Am Film, Mirror, Fosmon, etc). Perhaps I should just buy the cheap ones and cycle them out as needed?
I am using one of the cheap no-name screen protectors (like 6 for $5 with shipping or something from Amazon) and it's been great. I also bought an inexpensive TPU case (under $10, forget the brand) and it's been fine. I'm pretty clumsy and have dropped the device a lot, but it's light so the case has been enough protection. I'd love to find a good battery case that doesn't cost too much, too, since I don't want to carry around an external booster device everywhere. So far I've made due with chargers at home and at work, but it's not the same.
Whatever you get make sure it's for the HTC One XL, not just the X nor anything that says both X and XL.
I user an ottorbox commuter without a screen protector. I've already dropped and broken the screen on this phone twice. (Once in cheap tpu case off eBay)
Dropped it a few times in the commuter and don't worry about it at all.
Definitely worth it

I figured I may as well spend an extra $10 for the peace of mind. Should be getting the Commuter this Tuesday. I'll post a review of it if anyone's interested.
I use the Ballistic SG and it is simply awesome in the amount of protection it gives.

I can only reccomend the ClearPlex screen protector. Check them out, seriously. No loss of clarity on the screen and good customer service. I had an issue with my first one and they sent me another for free without me even asking. They make windshield protectors too!! I had gym shorts on one day while riding the mower cutting grass and my phone slipped out of my pocket. Needless to say, my screen came out fine. http://www.clearplex.com/

Zerlemon Case
I got cases for my Galaxy S4 from Zerolemon and it is worth buying at 19.99 USD
I am waiting for them to release for One X as well.
cruzerlite
definetly, cruzerlite tpu case is the best one out there!
I'm with Zodiac on the Otterbox, although I use the screen version. Protected the phone through some major drops, as well as normal abuse. Not sure how many other cases would have done as well. Worth the $$ to me.
Otterbox for sure
I've had the Otterbox commuter on my phone for 2 years and have dropped it many times in that period without any damage. The softcovers for the ports have worn out though, the rubber hinges developed cracks after about 18 months and they eventually fell off. Otherwise it's great.
I looked around and couldn't find any threads on otter box so I decided to share my experience.
I have the commuter series because I wanted a glass screen protector and didn't want to go through the effort of punching out the plastic on the defender.
I was a little worried about making my phone super bulky but after putting it on I love the size. It feels very comfortable and safe it's a bit cumbersome to take on and off.
My only complaint is that the port covers seem fragile. I'm a little paranoid since on my defender case for my Nexus 7 both covers broke off do to use.
Last I did attach a popsocket to the back and it sticks fine to the case. I've moved it around a few times and found the best place was just under the print scanner. It makes the phone feel so nice.
I got a commuter for my XL. The power button is very hard to push. I called OtterBox today and they are sending me a new one. Getting a replacement was easy and the guy on the phone was super nice.
I was really happy to see the case is made in the USA and sounds like their customer service is US based as well. I had wrote off OtterBox a long time ago when they started making their cases in China and lowered their warranty period. I started buying Supcase unicorn beetle pro cases and while made in China their price reflected that. Since the pro series isn't available for the XL right now and I needed a case right now I went to Verizon and bought the OtterBox. It's very nice other than the hard to press power button.

Let me know how the new one is.
Currently i just got the unicorn beetle and the buttons feel as responsive as a naked phone.
But im worried it might not protect as well as a commuter. (ive had them on my last 3 phones)

Will do it should be here tomorrow. I also bought a i-blason case and the buttons on that are very good.

Power button feels much better. The case has a silicone sleeve that goes around it with thick buttons so the buttons will feel mushy but it's a trade off that I'm willing to live with.

Yea i can deal with that. Usually the case with commuters.

My UAG Pixel XL arrived ....
Fits great, my pet peeves is not enough of a lip on the front so your screen is protected when the phones is face down. This one has the best clearance of the cases I own. I have the Tech 21, Rhino Bumper, and Incipio Dual Pro. This one is a really nice case. My first UAG

Can you post any pics of it?

A little pricey but I love UAG cases.
Does anyone have input on the UAG cases? The Amazon ones are mixed and I don't want to burn $30.
i have the ash uag case for mine and my wife's pixel xl since the beginning of December.
was looking forward to this case. when i first got it i liked it alot, but then other people got theirs and made me start to look at mine again. the one issue is that the lip at the top and bottom seem to show a little bit too much metal. it's almost like as though they rushed the case. i thought the case from uag would have been similar to the uag case they did for the galaxy note 4, in how it wrapped the phone and you knew it was protected.
since getting my uag case i have ordered the presidio grip, didn't like it, not that much screen protection and that case felt lose on the phone.
ordered the seidio dilex, bigger case tab the uag in feel making the phone feel bulkier but the headphone jack cutout is too small, unless your headphones have a skinny plug. will be sending that one back.
received the vrs design high pro shield. same thing not that much lip on the screen and button feel was not that great.
was going to order the LifeProof fre but read people having flash issues at night with the case on. still thinking about giving the caseology case a try.
so after going through those cases determined the uag case will work and get the job done with a screen protector. just ordered the full screen glass protector from spigen through Amazon, presently using the yootech screen protector.
thought about going back to the diztronic but just a little too plain. and the uag has taken a few slips out the pocket already and has survived so will stick with this one for the time being.

I have been using UAG cases for years. As soon as the version for the XL came out I had it. I used it for 2 days and hated it. It did not fit quite right and was very heavy compared to the Spigen Rugged Armor. I threw my UAG in a drawer and have no plans to use it again.

LMAO. thought about giving the rugged armor another try, just concerned about the small cutout for the autofocus sensor.
