Dear all !
After 6 years of using windows mobile , I gonna switch to Android ( maybe HTC Legend ) but I need an answer before making decision: Could I transfer my SMS from Windows Mobile to Android ?
I have 2000 sms with my GF and I don't want to lose any of them - is is possible or Do I have to use Windows Mobile for rest of my life ?
Thanks for answers / suggestions
I think there is an app that allows you to transfer sms' from WinMo to Android. Lemme try to find it (I think it is paid though...).
Edit: It is called Windows Mobile SMS Migrator for UK£0.99. It is by MoDaCo.
Description:
BETA!
Windows Mobile SMS Migrator lets you migrate your SMS from a Windows Mobile phone to a ROOTED (yes, ROOT ACCESS IS REQUIRED) Android phone.
After installing this Android application, visit http://android.modaco.com/wmsm to download the PC / WM parts of the application (free) and view a guide on how to use.

HTC Legend is a nice device...Android rocks & will have V2.2 out soon to rock even more!
sms transfer to Android
I used SMS Exporter on the WM device (Diamond 2) to generate an xml file which I imported restored on the HTC Desire using SMS Backup and Restore.
The result displays fine in the standard sms client .
In Handcent SMS the time order of the imported messages is not always ok, received and sent seem to be grouped together

i have been searching for this for a long time now and whatsapp dont mention anything about a windows mobile version being released. This would be an extemely useful app... ideas??
would be so damn good. Have u talked to the developers?
hi, im not shure but i think shapeservice im+ can do simmilar things cant it?

this app Rocks. Any ideas to make it compatible to windows mobile?
Need it too, whatsapp rocks!
(but the iphone doesnt, neither the BB)
Love my HD2
I have tried to email whatsapp with enquiries as to wether they will make a winmo version but i have this installed on my ipod touch and its brilliant.
any developers kno how it works and if we can create a similair program that can connect to whatsapp users??
This app is very cool because works with your phone number (no with emai, or usernamesl), if your friend have this app in his phone the software automatily detect your friend. unfortnaly no for winmo

Hello,
My sister gifted me a windows 10 phone Lumia 550 and i would like to install Android on it. I would go directly to the shop and change it for an Android. The problem is that i live in Argentina and the phone was bought in England . So ......
It's just that i don't understand windows phone. It's just too complicated. Also can't seem to customize it. Can't find apps like chrome firefox or any decent browser. Just Edge .... (sad). Alarm is just not good at all. It doesn't have increasing volume.... And ,any other things...
Its a Microsoft Windows Phone Lumia 550.

Hello
Seems, unfortunately, that there is not much regarding your request. I was able to find a 2015 similar project that targeted installing Android apps onto Windows devices, but that may be more below that.
Install Android Apps on Windows 10 Mobile (Bonus: Clash of Clans on Lumia)
