Hey there XDA,
I have just recently bought a 'Samsung i600 Blackjack' phone and it has Windows Mobile 6.0 on it.
I've installed SkyFire Web Browser on it and I find that pretty good, but the next thing I want on it is the "Windows Live Messenger" so I can talk to friends while I'm doing work etc.
When you go onto the Microsoft Mobile website, you look around and you have to enter your mobile number to get it (only available to American's not Australian's) - So does anybody know how to do this?
I really want it.
Thanks guys any help would be appreciated.
I wouldn't mind putting a Linux based OS on there instead of Windows Mobile or whatever it is called.
If there is any info on a different OS or how to get Windows Live Messenger on my phone that would be bloody appreciated.
Thanks!
I am sure there is a cab file around somewhere. Try using the search link in my sign!

My friend who has an Android phone (Moto Cliq on T-Mo USA) showed me this application she got called, World Tour. The developer is BoD, his website is here: http://www.jraf.org/android/ and the specific section for this application is here: http://jraf.org/code-latoureiffel/content.xml
What I'm wondering is if someone out there could port this application to Windows Mobile for my HD2.. I already e-mailed the developer and he said he is not planning on creating any applications for Windows Mobile, only Android :-(.
If not, then does anyone know of any similar application for Windows Mobile that will load live webcam's (from different links, I even know a few of my own I'd like to use if possible) as your wallpaper (background)? And this application will also change the image every X minutes (my friend had her's set to 15 mins)...
Hope someone can help, thanks in adv.!
85 Views and noonee is interested in this? Or willing to try porting it? I wish I knew enough about programming, etc to do it :-(...
(Can you get android os on HTC Touch2 running winmo6.5?)
Dear fellow xda-developers and HTC Mega users.
I am Saavin from the UK. I recently purchased a used, refurbished HTC Touch2 from Ebay.
Running the OS: WinMo 6.5 (windowsmoblie 6.5)
I noticed that the OS is very limited, hard to use and the apps on MarketPlace are very expensive and are not very useful.
Android OS is much more easier to use and there are much more apps int its marketplace where you can downlaod free USEFULL apps.
Is there any method, where I could dualboot or get Android OS safely into my MEGA?
Please find a solution to my query.
Thank-you for your co-operation. P.S I will donate £1 to the best contribution.
Once again thanks.
Next time I'll see that question I'll kill gay who open new tread.
NO THERE ISN'T ANY ANDROID ON HTC TOUCH2!
Try find some info's and then ask on forum.

Hello guys,
as you probably know, there were many projects to port an android Rom into the wonderful Samsung Focus device.
This morning, I was browsing google to find some news about it and BANG, I found an eHow page from November 15th 2011 telling me how to do it. I remained sort of sceptical about it and I wanted your opinions. As far as I read, it seems to be an HTC rom ported to WP7.
So Ill let you check the web page, right there: http://www.ehow.com/how_12191756_run-android-samsung-focus.html
Does it sound fake to you? Is it safe to try it?
BTW, has anyone successfully ported android with MAGDLR on the Focus?
Thank you very much!
Sorry for my bad english.
Alpha4345 out.
??!!
anybody please confirm working or no please!!
Haret is for OLD windows mobile
The Samsung Focus runs Windows Phone 7.x, which is NOT windows mobile. Haret runs on windows mobile. This trick won't work. The SD card is protected by the operating system when you install it, and will become an integral part of your phone, and you can't even access it from your computer.:crying:
You might be interested in this from the dev section as far as HARET is concerned with WP7 :

Having recently bought an Android device to play with, I have to ask: why in the HELL would you switch a WP7 device to Android? Sure, it's more customizable and has more apps, but it's a hell of a lot slower and the UI is an antiquated joke.
Well I find it funny when people ask questions like this , especially on a DEVELOPERS FORUM ! Why would someone want to put a chevy engine in a Toyota , because they can (with modifications) , its not about how fast the "fart app" or Face Book runs , that crap doesnt matter to devs , its whether or not it will work that matters and if it will ,what other possibilities are there (that means Microsoft left some backdoors open) , pretty promising stuff , maybe not feasable to the average user but to a tinkerer or maker its alot!

I can relate to the "challenge" aspect--used to do it all the time years ago. Now I just don't give a rat's ass
Hey Guys,
i recently got a Tablet with a Intel® Atom™ Z3735F Prozessor. So is there any Chance to install Windows 8 to it?
I found a Software called "Change My Software 8.1" but except a Youtube Video i cant find anything about this Software. Thats why i really dont thrust this thing. On the other Hand there are a few Atom Tablets with Multiboot (Android & Win) and theres a Windows Bing Edition for free.
So does anyone has more Info about this topic?
Thanks,
Mike
