Just wondering if I am missing something: image clip is not included correct? I am wondering, as I had no need until today to build a small picture collage, and could not.. Does anyone have an apk?

I was comparing the Giorgio Armani Galaxy S to the Captivate to see if they were in fact the same exact phone. Only a couple differences... Front facing cam and FM radio on the Armani Edition.
If we could find out where to get the additional hardware to add the 2nd cam and a dump from the Armani edition couldn't we in theory mod our phones? If these are THE only internal differences between these 2 phones it should be pretty straightforward.
As for the FM radio, I'm not sure if the hardware or wiring is in the Captivate or if everything is there and just not activated like in my Nexus One. Everything was there. We just needed the MiUi rom to get it working, and now its right there in CM 6.1.
OK waddaya guys think?
BTW, The Armani's specs were in multiple places but the site I used to compare all the Galaxy S variants was
h**p://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer
(URL prohibited due to my newness here so just replace * with t...obviously)
The captivate teardown shows NO room for an FFC. So internal differences are probably greater then you think. Until we see a teardown of the 9010, I would not expect any chance of an FFC mod.

im not sure if those specs are right. i really dont think the armoni model has a ffc.
ive had mine apart but i havent seen the i9000 camera up close. what i can tell you is that the camera on a i9000 is mounted above the rear camera, in the captivate the rear camera is higher. there is no room above it, if a cmaer was put there it would not view through the glass.
to the left (viewed from the back) is an antenna (gps?) and to the right is the headphone jack. it depends on just how small the camera is to know if it will fit in one of those areas but some plastic would need to be milled away and it would be difficult to avoid breaking the glass.
if the armoni i9010 does in fact have a ffc you would likely need the whole chassis and screen to do a mod safely and the even the circuit board is likely revised. but i see no tell tale circle in the glass to show that the camera is there, i also haven't seen any specs noting a front facing camera.
on another note it is rumored to have hsupa, the i9000m jk3 rom and modem works ok with a reorient kernel but this might be a chance to get hsupa without any bugs at all.
Also, the unboxing video shows the sensors (ambient light and proximity) but no FFC. The applications on the phone don't include any chat app either or anything labled video chat.
Don't get me wrong I want to buy the i9000 camera assembly and see if enough of the hardware is implemented the same for it to work. But I have no reservations. For all I care I'll let the camera stick through the top of the phone and mold a hump over it, mounting the camera is only a small hurdle, there may be things in the main board that prevent it from working at all. Kernel files might need to be edited. It might not be as simple as the vibrant.

hello guys
i want to buy android tablet soon & i like the note 10.1 very much
so i want to ask u
does the note 10.1 have black clipping issues like galaxy s3 ?
& is it software or hardware related ?
Below is a attachment of test pattern, you have to download and view the image within note gallery, preferably in a dark room, and at maximum brightness. if you can see the left bar boxes 10 to 1 with little to no gradual gradient then most likely note has the black crush issue
if someone can post screenshots of this 4 images on his tab
thanks
So many views yet not one reply
I'm not sure if I have a problem or not lol

I see the numbered gradient bar in all four pictures. They look the same on my Note 10.1 as they do on the external LCD connected to PC. I think black clipping just affected the original Note OLED. Note 10.1 is PLS LCD. Looks fine on my Note II too.
Hi Guys,
I dont know how to put this across. Let me explain anyway..
I clicked a pic of a colorful flower using my Nexus 5 (HDR+). Then shared the pic to my wife's Note 3 (Exynos) via Bluetooth.
When seen the same pic on both the phones, I see that the color composition is very fade in Nexus 5. For e.g. the green leaf will appear more greenish in Note 3 and looks faded in Nexus 5. Likewise, the red petals on Nexus 5 looks dull compared to how it appears in Note 3.
I have checked this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...exus-5-color-related-faq-calibration-t2763857
But the information is way more technical in nature and too geeky.
Is there a simpler way to make the colors looks more sharper in Nexus 5 running lollipop? Like a custom kernel, etc.?
Thanks,
Dinesh
I swear that Samsung had a video app that could link several (I think up to 5) smartphone/tablet video cameras into one (the director) so that you could switch between camera angles and such. I saw Switchcam, but this was different, Am I losing my mind, because there is no info anywhere on it.
Hey everyone, just wanted to run this by you guys to get an opinion and possibly some insight as to a few features that seem to be missing on the S6.
First off I have owned every Galaxy S device, from the old Vibrant to my current S6, also had a Note 3 and the beast phone Note 4 which my S6 replaced.
I received my S6 on April 2nd and have messed with it a lot to try and learn the ins and outs of it.
Now to the issue at hand, I do quite a lot of picture and video taking, the first thing I noticed is there is no "capture" feature in the video viewer settings which allow me to go frame by frame and snap a photo within the video, its an awesome feature and is very useful when wanting to capture a perfect shot you couldnt really capture with the camera shutter.
Second thing I just stumbled upon a few minutes ago, I took a 0:54 video in 4K but wanted to trim just the first and last few seconds . The trim editing tool took entirely waayyy too long (abour 3 minutes) after pressing export and not only that but it did not allow me to retain the 4K resolution, highest I could choose was 1080p.
I still have my Note 4 and tested it out just to see if maybe I was just overreacting.
Turns out the Note 4 will trim the exact same video and retain 4K resolution in no joke, 7 seconds. Any idea why?
Am I missing something here? Also anyone find the "capture" feature when viewing a video?
Can the Note4 video trimmer be ported into the S6? Perhaps it will be fixed as the device is technically not even out yet so I may be a first to notice.

I've noticed the same problem. I have my Note 4 side by side. The screen capture option is missing. Disaster. One of the best features of using 4K video is to grab 8mp photos!!! No editing either. Why Samsung!!
My solution is to take a screen shot. Not as easy as the Note 4. Seems to be around 3.5 to 5mb in file size vs normal screen shots of 203kb.
