Is anyone able to extract the apk for the boost visual voicemail that comes in stock august system upgrade for the J700P? I haven't updated the system since rooting in June but voicemail is the only app forcing the update notification onto my lock screen and bar.
Other than installing an apk from a new system, is there another way to permanently get rid of that app update message?

Has anyone received an OTA update for lollipop? I repeat OTA, not manual image flashing.
If you have, please mention the date you got it and also the country you are in.
There is a dedicated OTA help desk on our nexus 5 forum .
They are not covering lollipop OTA for now. I went through the thread
i aslo want to find out if anyone in the world got the OTA , as promised by google, or they are just ****ing with us
update
My friend received ota by clearing cache and data of google framework in manage apps and also disable it and than restart the phone and enable google framework. You will receive ota but you have to try for few times since only 1% people are receiving ota now.
The message says "Per App Control not currently supported under L Preview!" It comes up as a persistent gray box and rebooting didnt help. My nexus isn't rooted and I received the update OTA. Can anyone help me with this?
Sounds like you've got an app carried over from KK which isn't compatible with 5.0 yet
I just purchased the sprint version of the s5. I rooted and just installed a custom recovery. I keep getting a notification to update from Samsung. It's a security update but it goes through the Google play store. Since I'm rooted and have a custom recovery I'm not supposed to take this update, right? Also, how do I get this notification to disappear? Thanks

I have an unlocked bootloader on a Verizon Droid Ultra with TWRP and stock 4.4.4. All is working well but I recently received a notification (on the left of the notification bar) indicating that an update has been downloaded and ready to install. I do not want to install Android 5 at this time for a number of reasons and would like to get rid of the notification and erase the download (if I could find it). Does anyone have any suggestions other than ignoring the request to install the update?

I cannot find Motorola update service 4.0. I did find the following that sound close:
Motorola Services 6
Motorola Services Main 1.0
MotorolaOTA 1.0
Is it one of these?

You can change the fingerprint in your build.prop to read 5.0 and it will stop with the nagging icon
For some reason, the June (?) Update for the G7 Power US refuses to install, but I'm still getting the notification. I'm rooted, so it's there a way to make the notification stop showing up?
Yep, go to apps, find Motorola Update services (click show system apps in the 3dot/hamburger menu upper left or upper righT) and disable notifications.
That being said, this is so so ****ing stupid, I am on a EU G7 power and an update refuses to install anyway, had this before and a reset fixed it so I could install last update, but once again it fails the next one. I am not rooted either.
i know.i am unlocked and i can update manually through flashing the entire zip package for my version of the moto g7 power which is the 1955-2 version which in about says retla.
