But instead of flashing the rom from that link, use XAR region rom from sammobile firmware site

There isn't any firmware for the gear S2 Classic on Sammobiles website.
Any idea where I can find it?

OXA region - Australia? Are you sure?
After HARD RESET my watch show Russian language.
If CSC from Australia would be very good ...
I will check again and let you know. If its not I will try to dd the partition from my watch and attach it here.
Does this support gear pay?

Any luck getting the R770 (Gear S3 Classic) Firmware?
I will post both firmwares over the weekend.
Samsung pay is only compatible with AMEX and Citibank cards in Australia.
So can we do anything with these yet? Is it possible to flash from one region to another? I think I was misled into buying an international version since I can't get Samsung Pay working.
I'm not sure if the modem from AT &T would be any help. It might brick the watch.

Cross flashing is very risky. It can brick your watch. Im very excited to see somone has a look at the modem for the R-765A model. Not good with IDA or any other assembly. I hope some kind soul will look into adding su support and also disect the modem.bin for any hacks.
Also with the LTE service we need to use an extended eSim profile to be loaded onto the watch.

I ended up bricking my R770 by flashing the R765 firmware to it. It worked fine with the R760 firmware. I figure since the R765 has the LTE modem and such, it didn't like that one.

Region change for Samsung Pay

Hey guys,
I bought my Gear S2 Classic while in America and I live in the UK, when I try and setup Samsung Pay I only get the option to enter a Zip Code which won't work for me over here. Is there anyway I can flash a UK firmware / ROM and make it think it was bought here?
I've got some experience with Odin and custom ROMs etc, but only on phones.
My watch is currently reporting the following:
Model: SM-R732
AP: R732XXU2EQJ2
CP: NO PHONE
CSC: R7320XA2EQJ2
Any help would be great.

Or is that just for phones and the Gear S3?

Samsung Pay for Gear S2

Hi There!
Samsung Pay works fine now!!!! :highfive:
I did it on my Gear S2 Classic R720.
Seems to be a compatible work around for any Gear S2 and Gear S3.
Important: Use stock and combination firmware for your specific model number.
Look for it here in XDA.

My gear s2 got two or tree more updates ota, and is still fine.
The gear app on your phone will "self-update", and eventually you show the samsung pay option.
My credit card from Brazil was validate to use. Just didn't linked with my local account. It's like a separated samsung account (cuz now the gear s2 is linked with the samsung awards from usa, i bet tis just some region incompatibility)
Nothing here is my credit! Well, those last 4 phrases at least and the post, haha

Hi, it appears that samsung pay isn't enabled for the gear s2 and s3 in Spain, however it is working for smartphones. Will this procedure enable it for my gear s2?

I did the procedure and now I can install samsung pay but it isn't accepting my credit card (which is supported by samsung pay) so I guess I will have to keep waiting for samsung to enable spay in spain.

are you from brazil bro? can you help me?
I go to try in my gear s2 sport.
Well, i flash the first file, but the clock restarted. Now, my gear s2 connect and show the MAC (no ip) but in NETODIN3 dont connect. Any solution?
After putting rom combined with an American stock csc code and change XAR region (which will activate Samsung Pay internally)
full american stock rom (R720XXU2EQH1)
receives OTA to which we have in Spain R720XXU2FRC1
And apparently do everything without problems.
I get this (Changes have been made to your watch and Samsung Pay cannot be accessed. Please get in touch)
I am about to cry
Man you have no idea what this means to me. I have had the Samsung gear s2 from the day one release here in UAE and the only thing that was missing from the watch was samsung pay no matter what I did it never came bought samsung phone nope, tried to install samsung pay on my phone illegaly nope, Asked for help here and reddit nope and finally i made the plunge to galaxy watch 46mm last week been using samsung pay like hell but suddenly today I just felt today to check the xda of my phone and somehow gear s2 popped into my mind like completely random...so to kill some time just went s2 page too ( note last time i was in gear s2's page was like 3 or 4 years back ) and your post was the third from from the top if it weren't in the first page I would never bother to go to second page or would have found this post. I was surprised and wasted no time charged my gear s2 and started doing with files you provided tbh with no hope but surprisingly everything works like charm. Man i cant express the feeling right now. THANKS A LOT MY FRIEND.

Any one was able to get samsung pay on gear s3 working in france?

I have tried and flashed every single combination file and every firmware and csc. I have also changes the csc multiple times through keystring to XEF,XAR..etc but was never able to even show the spay app in the watch.
I bought my gear s3 from philippines so i guess it is the internationale version, is there a way to make spay available in it? since it was already launched for gear in france late july.
So if any one was able to get it working in france please indicate the PDA,CSC version and model and if there is any firmware/ROM that can be flashed. I really want this feature.
My gear s3: sm-r760

I have updated with no luck, do you know where i can get the ROM tizen 3.0? and yes i have samsung pay on my s9 plus working
I was able to get it working in france with lydia virtual card, after long hours of trying different methods . here are the steps:
1- follow this guide to change the CSC code of your watch to BTU (United kingdom)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/how-to/guide-how-to-change-gear-s3-r760-csc-t3784226
2-Download samsung pay for gear from apk mania or any other site
3-after changing the CSC the watch will reset and you open samsung pay for gear and it will install the app on the watch and asks you to add a card
I have done it and it is working fine.

If I need firmware for my device, do I need it from my region?

Without specifying the brand, model, version of your device, the only answer you’ll get will be:
- yes
- no
- maybe

Why don’t you ask in the relevant sub-forum then?

I mean, if you install it from a very known country or the firmware is supported there very well, then I see no issues about it.
If you want to install it from your country, I won't stop you. But installing from a very supported country may be beneficial for some reason.
