You can't use rooting apps like Kingroot or other to root YU5010. You have to root your device manually i.e. unlock bootloader first, flash custom recovery (TWRP recovery is recommended) and at last flash SuperSU.zip.

Do this, download the twrp image to your pc. Download supersu 2.46 to your device. Then boot into the bootloader and do the following:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Flash supersu in it
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Profit, you have twrp installed and you're rooted.

It didn't root my device. It flashed supersu 2.46 find within twrp and installed twrp too but when I ran the Root Checker app, it stated that my devices wasn't properly rooted. Any other suggestions?

Did you checked if you have the SuperSU app on your app drawer?
Yep. I have the SuperSU app on my app drawer. When In run the app, it states that no SU binary found. I am gonna try flashing SuperSU binary in an earlier version of TWRP to see if that can solve the problem.

i found a way
1.first you need to port a recovery for your phone
2.place supersu update package in your sdcard
3.flash it using SP flash tools
4.flash the twrp from sd card using twrp
5.done.

1. Firstly download the stock firmware of the phone
from here : https://firmwarefile.com/infocus-m460
2. download this tool : https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/tool-unpack-repack-nb0-rom-t3495091 and follow the steps to extract the ROM
3. Now,copy the recovery from the folder and scatter file
4.port the recovery, video tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3rXDM19F64&t=10s and recovery for custom TWRP : https://www.mediafire.com/file/v77wj2j443gbdsz/TWRP_3.1.1-0_CP8298_I00.img
5. After successful porting, flash the recovery with SP Flash tools.

I tried to flash TWRP and succeeded by porting. But unfortunately can't see any storage (internal or SD). Also can boot into recovery only once. If I try to boot into recovery it shows the broken android logo. Can you share the recovery you used for the TWRP for the M460. Also some screenshots of the recovery storage availability form your phone. Thank you in advance.

Which method or software do you use for porting.
PS. there is some extra work on infocus recoveries
GET FOR PHONE ROOT ACCESS
Flash this IMG file by using the rooted app called flashify....

There is no such recovery available any more..
you need to flash the stock firmware and it will be enabled by default..

I've just bought yuphoria 5010a.. and rooted by kingoroot.. checked root with root checker basic app and it's says successful.. i wanna install custom recovery and rom.. do i need to unlock bootloader? or i can install them without unlock the bootloader?

You have to unlock bootloader for full access otherwise you can stuck in between or device may be brick.
Unlock bootloader using fastboot
Then flash twrp using fastboot

Just download the stock rom and extract it . you will get recovery. Img this is your stock recovery

hey, you cant without a custom recovery.
as kingroot stopped working on android 6xx , you should need a custom recovery inorder to root your device.

You need to install a custom recovery, from the installed custom recovery, you need to flash super su zip.
if your device got no custom recoveries, then you cant.....

yes you can, but you need your device's stock recovery to do that.
here is the guide about - guide to compile twrp for your device by Deestroy
If I root My s6(SM-G920I) with Kingoroot.
Then flash twrp custom recovery through flashify app.
Will the custom recovery flash or not ?
If you can gain root access, you can flash recovery via Flashify
But there's no way to root without PC.
