Connecting to a Chromebook - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Has anybody tried pairing their Pixel with a Chromebook? I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015 edition) and when I pair the phone it says it failed, but appears in the paired devices list. When I attempt to use the phone to unlock the Chromebook it fails since it never connected successfully. This worked perfectly with my HTC 10 and was great for unlocking the Chromebook instead of manually entering a 40 character randomly generated password.
I made sure the Chromebook is updated, restarted the phone and Chromebook and the issue persisted.

Z3 unable to pair with laptop

Hi guys, I tried pairing my z3 which I have restored to its factory settings (previously I have already paired the phone to the laptop) but I am unable to do so as every time I tried to pair it, it will show that this phone has already been paired with the computer but yet under my wireless listing, my pc name is not shown at all unlike previously, making me unable to do anything, is there any methods to solve this or do I need to exchange for a new set?
Anyone of you who can help?

Click to collapse
you should give both info about phone and laptop
what OS installed in ur laptop?
and what is happening when u want to remove xz3 from pair device on laptop?
My guess is that the pairing is still active on your PC only, meaning that it is skipping the negotiation phase when your phone tries to connect, and makes your phone fail to connect.
On your laptop you will have to go to your bluetooth devices and delete your Z3 from there. Delete your laptop from your phone if you can find it and start the pairing process over from scratch.
Simply trying to re-pair purely off the phone is not enough to re-establish a connection.

[Q] Windows PC will not recognize phone connected on USB

So, a month or so ago I updated my phone to L without a hitch. This morning, I tried to begin moving to M, but I can't get my computer to recognize that the phone is connected to a USB port.
I'm running the latest Win 7 Pro build (current patches), I've tried using every USB port on the box, and I've tried four different cables. The Nexus will charge off the USB, but the PC will not connect to it, so I can't perform any of the flashing commands. Dev options are set on the phone, ofc.
Any idea what the problem might be? I've had this same computer since the phone came out and, as I mentioned, I just used it a month ago to update the phone. No clue why the computer won't see the phone as connected.
I should note that I can't get the Device Manager to see anything connected, either, so it's not trying to update drivers or anything. Besides, I believe those are current, since everything worked a month ago.
Thanks.
MSFT issued a bunch of security patches on 10 NOV. I wonder if that screwed up something? Is anyone else having issues with Windows recognizing that the phone is connected? Neither MTP nor PTP storage mode makes a difference.
FYI, looks like the culprit. I rolled back all the system updates and now the phone is recognized. Now I just have to go one-by-one and figure out which one broke ADB...

I cannot connect to bluetooth

The thing is i tried to pair my android device (moto x phone) to an intel android tablet. Both devices were paired easily. After pairing them I tried to connect them through bluetooth but was unable to do so. Whenever I tapped my device name in tablet it responded by not connecting. Whenever i tapped tablet name in my phone it connected for a millisecond and disconnected. What should I do? How do i connect to the bluetooth.

Unable to pair Bluetooth keyboard to android tablet

My tablet is Galaxy tab pro 8.4, the model number is sm-t719, Android version is 6.0.1 and I rooted my device
In the past I was using the Microsoft universal Bluetooth keyboard (the non foldable keyboard) with my tablet and i was able to pair successfully with my tablet
After that the keyboard spoilt and I bought a new keyboard which is the same model. I also was able to successfully pair with the new keyboard, but I had to return it because the built in battery is damaged and it does not charge
I just got a new keyboard which is the same model but now I am unable to pair it to my tablet. I will tell u the problem
I was able to successfully pair the Bluetooth keyboard to my windows pc. The pc detected the keyboard and it asked me to type in the pass key on the keyboard, the pass key stayed showing on my pc and it didn't go away, I typed the pass key correctly and the pairing was successful. The same thing happened when I paired with an iPhone and the pairing was successful
The problem is when I tried to pair it with my tablet. The pass key shows on the tablet, but it is going away very fast and it says pairing unsuccessful and I am not getting the chance to type in the pass key on the keyboard. If i type in a digit and press enter quickly before the pass key goes away then it will say unable to pair immediately after I press enter so it means the tablet is reading the keystrokes of the keyboard but I am unable to type in the correct pass key
Also I noticed that my tablet is not immediately detecting the keyboard. I have to press scan on the tablet a few times until the keyboard shows in available devices
I tried everything. I switched Bluetooth off then on and I even restarted the tablet. No luck. After many tries the pass key stayed showing long enough for me to successfully type in the pass key
Why did this happen to me?

Bluetooth: "couldn't connect" to Win10

Hi. In the last couple of days, I used "Bluetooth Audio Receiver" from the Microsoft store to be able to play back music from my S20 FE android 11 device at work. I often step away from my work desk with my phone in my pocket, but yesterday I wasn't able to reconnect my phone via Bluetooth when I came back. Since then I can't connect to my work and my personal PC anymore, even tho I didn't even connect to my personal PC for a while.
I'm able to unpair and pair with said Windows 10 machines, but as soon as I tap the entry in the Bluetooth menu, it says "couldn't connect". I already tried to use the reset for wifi/Mobil/Bluetooth within the android setting, but it didn't change anything.
Restarted my phone and both PCs multiple times. It feels like something in my phone hang itself. I'm still able to send files from my PC to my phone and vice versa. I'm still able to fully use my smartwatch and Bluetooth headset.
Is there anything I can do? Any ideas?
PS: My phone is rooted.
Edit1: I just deleted cache and data of the Bluetooth app and did another reset of my network settings. I now can't pair with Windows 10 anymore. It says "couldn't connect" after the pairing dialog. My Win10 Device recognizes my Android device as paired. Which means I can't even send or receive files at my phone from my Windows 10 devices.
Edit2: My headset was still paired. Is there a way to reset saved pairing and data related to that?
Edit3: I don't know why I couldn't pair with my Windows device anymore, but it works again (Didn't do anything). Still can't connect to it, but can send files again.
TLDR:
Android 11 S20 FE can't connect to multiple Windows devices anymore with the massage: "can't connect".
UnPairing and pairing again won't help
Restarting effected devices won't help.
Resetting network settings won't help.
Nobody has an idea what it could have triggered it or what I could try to do?
Any idea is much appreciated.
