Loving my G2X, batt life isnt as good as my N1. I did let it drain completley till phone shut off on its own , then factory reset the phone and let it charged completley. That helped out alot but still batt life aint N1'ish. Could it be because of dual core or and will gingerbread update help out batt life. (This is my 1st post)
cant expect the battery life to be identical to another phone. battery life may or may not get battery in future updates.
So far so good with my battery. definitely better battery life than my Nexus 1.
YAY! Another battery life thread!!! I've been missing them.
It's a great phone.. I hope you enjoy it.
I didn't factory reset, but I rooted, backed it up (key step!) , then got rid of a lot of the bloatware. Namely car home that always had a service and a lot of other unused default apps. Today my battery has been a champ. Normal use, occasional browsing, and 30 minutes of Listen predownloaded podcast on the way to work. I'm at 79% now after 5 hours off charge.
I did battery calibration too, but not sure ill see its affect until after I do a full discharge cycle.
If you're interested, just search g2x root then g2x bloatware.

You dont need to discharge your battery if you use the battery calibration app or delete battery stats in clockworkrecovery. Draining the battery unnecessarily like that is bad for the battery. That's why the two options I just named were made.
Hi all . Lets share everyone the experience about baterry life on each rom, custom rom and what to do for improving the problems with battery . Of course , maybe you will have suggestions about apps or tunning to improve battery life .
For begining i share mine experience so far . I flashed my captivate with cm7.1 . In standby (just standby) without touch the phone, data off , the battery is now 75% sience 16 hours . I just look at battery status and then turn off screen . I not receive anything : call, sms, mail etc . Lets hear about your battery life and suggestion in this thread .
With stock gingerbread rom and go launcher my battery loses about 2% an hour with average use. I have push turned on, gps off, and auto rotate off.
Without turning the screen on I lose 1% every two hours.

If you lost 25% over 16 hrs, that's about 1.5% an hour. That's acceptable for cm7/MIUI. Be happy, some people would love to have that.
I am little happy , cause was just in standby 16 hours . But if i use the phone its maybe 16 hours until 0% ) . Anyway ty for replays . I am wondering if any rom have same battery life .
Hi guys recently i have updated to 4.4.2 and my battery is draining fast like 13 hour with 6 hours screen on time ..... Is it normal or i am having battery drain issue ??
Are you crazy? 6 hours of screen on time is super amazing- you've got an awesome battery. If you are looking to extend your battery life even further then I suggest rooting your phone (if you haven't already done) and use greenify. Other than that, just turn your brightness down and manage your radios efficiently. As far as I can see you have amazing battery life. Do you game or do you just tend to go on YouTube, reply to texts etc...?

Hello there community. After owning the Nexus 5 for about 1 year and 3 months. My battery life has gone really bad in the last few weeks. I have tried calibrating it through sucking out the whole juice and bring it up to 100 % and such tricks, but the battery is still the same, draining a little faster than before. Im even underclocked and undervolted with Codeblue trying to save some juice, but is still is in a bad situation. So the question is, is it time to send it to service and change the internal battery ? Or most people are suffering after Lollipop ? etc... Any reply would be appreciated

Have you posted in the battery life sticky?
Hello guys,
I have noticed some Battery Drain in my G920F since I have changed the stock kernel for Arter Kernel (I'm on Stock 6.0.1 rom).
But I don't think that Arter is the problem, I will explain to you :
I have migrated to Arter Kernel and the battery life was great (better than stock) but since some days (after 2-3 month of Arter) my battery does not take long, I need to charge my battery 2-3 times a day ! And I do not use it often because of my studies. I have checked the battery settings and the first battery utilization is the screen, I have calibrated my battery with this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
But nothing works !
Someone has a solution ? Maybe I have to change my Rom ? Any advice for a fast Rom and good battery life ?
Thanks in advance !
