Google Store Pixel and My Verizon - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

If your Pixel is from Google Store, does My Verizon allow you to make changes to your account? For example, if you go to "My Plan & Services", "Manage Plan" and click on any of the "Select" buttons, do you see an error message or a list of options?
Also, what do you see in "My Devices", a picture and the phone's name or "NON-VZW DEVICE"?

I see options. I can click the radial buttons and they turn black without error. I didn't go any further than that because I'm paranoid about accidentally losing my UDP.
For the 2nd question mine says PIXEL NON-VZW.

Pixel Non-VZW

Thanks. That's good news, because when I put my SIM to a non-Verizon device, it wouldn't allow me to make any changes at all. I'm still trying to decide between Verizon and Google versions. Right now it looks like there's no difference except for the locked bootloader.

When I brought my Pixel in to be activated at the Verizon store, he just popped my SIM into the Pixel and sent me on my way, I dont believe he did anything extra to my account. When I went home it did say 'Non-VZW Device' for 24 hours, then it cleared up and now shows Google Pixel in Quite Black.

Big problem: can't access my Google account anymore, can't remove it either...

Hello all,
I used to love my Idol 3 since I got it. However, I was on a trip last week and all of a sudden, it stopped to sync with my Google account. I can't access anything Google related on the phone (in fact, when a Google app opens, it's not synced). Then, the phone kinda freezes because it tries to sync. It's happening when I try to read my mails, open Google Drive, try to sync Chrome for my favorites...
I wanted to remove my Google account and then put it back on, but I have not that possibility in the Accounts part in the Parameters.
Anyone can help? Should I do a factory reset? The thing is I have a Canadian phone but I installed the US rom.
I was maybe wanting to root it if I had to do a factory reset. But then, from what I read, I would not be able to get the system updates, and could maybe have problems if I try to get them (would not reboot)?
Thanks.
please post screens from settings/accounts/google account/ and other one when you tap on your google account and hit the three dots up right, there should be "remove account" option.
Factory reset is the simplest thing, but you loose all your sms, call history and installed apps....

Using a computer so cannot post screenshots, but the "remove account" is not there when I hit the 3 dots up right. There is just the "sync" option.
Also, SMS doesn't work since the issue with Google started. I can receive messages, but not reply. I use MySMS.
I'm really not too crazy about having to do a factory reset and losing all...
To delete the google account, from accounts select google, then click on your email address and from the three dots menu select Remove account.

As I mentioned above, I don't have the "Remove account" thing in the 3 dots menu.

I didn't read the post of @DallasCZ to the end ... he says the same ... follow his advice and post screenshots from the menu.
OK, now that "remove account" finally appeared when I unchecked every app from the Sync menu in the settings/accounts/google account. So, I tried to remove my Google account, but it won't do it... Nothing happens after I confirm I want to delete my account.... And the phone appears to be frozen now...

I had this once, I think what I did was I went into apps and cleared one of them apps I think it was Google account manager but can't really remember...
Well, I jumped the gun, wiped everything, flashed the custom US firmware and then installed SuperSU. Now seems to work great (hope it'll last). Another satisified rooted customer!!

LG Stylo Cricket (H63410g) Google FRP lock bypass...stuck, requesting input

Hello,
Long time lurker, first time poster, so forgive me in advance for any rules I've overlooked. I'll start by saying I am the legitimate owner of the phone. I have searched all over for information regarding FRP bypass for this particular phone and version, but have come up with nothing. I believe I found a method that gets me halfway to the goal, but I'm stuck at a particular point. Let me quickly go through what I've done so far;
1) After factory reset, from the main setup screen, go into accessibility.
2) At the bottom, click Switch Access.
3) Enable Switch Access, and then click settings in the lower right.
4)At the bottom, click Assign Keys to Actions
5) At the bottom, assign a key press to overview. I use volume down.
6) Back out to the device setup home screen.
7) Click through until you reach the network selection screen.
8) You will need to connect to a network that requires sign-in through a browser. The xfinity hotspots work the best.
9) Once connected to xfinity, the phone will auto open Chrome.
10) Use a free trial for xfinity hotspot, or log in with your comcast credentials.
11) Search google for "google maps", and find the result for google maps.
12) when you click on the google maps link, it will open a menu asking you to choose either chrome or the maps app.
13) select the maps app, and do a search for a random business that has a phone number.
14) Once the business info comes up, click call.
15) This will open the phone app. From there, go into the settings, and click on sound settings.
16) Voila! This brings you to the settings menu.
Now, my issue. It seems there is no way (or no option at least) to do a soft system restore from within the operating system. Now, I have tried disabling various apps, and stopping various proccesses in order to remove whatever process is responsible for the FRP notice, but to no avail. Ive even rooted the device and uninstalled anything I could think might be the culprit.
What do we do next folks??
Halp!
Thanks.:good:
I had this happen to me earlier and used this method. www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=b7xlXPDBxmY Just go download the file over at his blog. Put the phone in download mode and pick option #2. His phone reboots automatically in the video. Mine didn't, but I just powered it off and back on. I then had the option to skip past the the email portion.
just unplug ur router exactly when the phone says checking for updates and it'll let you skip the whole Google account thing. but you have to do it at the perfect time. took me 5 or 6 tries but it worked[emoji56]

Bumping to see if there's been another legit solution. I too have an LG G Stylo locked with the FRP. I've tried reflashing stock firmware, I've tried the Tungkick software, I've tried 6th_hokage's sofrware too, still no success.

Thanks but no, doesn't work. The overview and allow from unknown sources features have been patched. Can't use either option despite being able to backdoor into the browser, downloading the app, and even selecting it to install.
Interesting. What version numbers do you have?

Im having this problem as well, any help would be greatly appreciated
easy peasy
Look I nuked my phone I'm typing on a tripped out barcode scanner. I used lg backup to get through on my stylo. After the reset try and connect to a generic WiFi and then do a screen shot and share it via email that will get you on the web and then you should be able to search for and open up the settings app by choosing manage accounts while in the browser. Once your in settings clear all data on every app that says Google. But if you clear setup wizard you should be good. Then you should be able to restart as a new device
Try disabling the Set Up Wizard

No matter what you do if you can use any method to access the settings app/page from there you can go into the apps section and just disable the setup wizard and you'll get into the phone.
Ive been working on this for hours it feels like, last time i bypassed in ten minutes (different phone). Wont allow me to disable setup wizard or google play services, what options are there? Everything i have tried they have blocked ...

Annoying "no location" popup on boot

Hello everyone.
I decided to post this question here instead of my specific device's forum because I believe it is an issue of android itself, not my phone.
Since a couple of days ago, there is an annoying popup that appears on every boot, right after I unlock for the first time. The message reads:
No location access
Device location for all apps is
turned off, and you might not be
able to locate your device if it's
lost.
Yes, I'm aware of that, since I keep my location off for privacy and battery concerns, and that popup annoys me because it's an extra step for me to take. I suspect it's generated by Google Play Services, but I can't be sure.
Has anyone else seen it? Any ideas to disable it?

Thank you very much for your confirmation.
Do you remember by any chance which services did you disable to get rid of the popup? I'm betting doing that will screw up google maps and possibly some other gapps, but I'm willing to do it because that popup is sooo annoying.
Thanks.

Disabling them will cripple the device's location services. Though you'll probably still be able to get your location info by using the GPS only.
Here are the services I disabled
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.locationsharing.service.LocationSharingSettingInjectorService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.nearby.connection.service.NearbyConnectionsAsyncService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.clearcut.service.ClearcutLoggerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.clearcut.service.PlayLogBrokerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.common.stats.GmsCoreStatsService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.fused.FusedLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.PendingIntentCallbackService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.geocode.GeocodeService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.network.NetworkLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.GoogleLocationManagerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.geofencer.service.GeofenceProviderService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.server.GoogleLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.reporting.service.LocationHistoryInjectorService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.reporting.service.DispatchingService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.mdm.services.NetworkQualityAndroidService
Finding them all might be a bit tedious so here's a backup you can restore using DisableService from the Playstore
Woah, that's mighty cool of you. Thanks! I appreciate it.

Using backup. I double-checked and they are disabled
On my Note 4 I noticed an auto update a few days ago which I couldn't stop.
Today, my Skype auto logged out and when I tried to log in I couldn't. I entered my password 4 times and I couldn't log in. I tried login into my PC and it was fine so it wasn't a problem with my password.
So I restarted my note 4 and got this "No location access" pop-up. However I was able to login to Skype.
Are these two things connected? It seems weird. And the pop-up is blatantly scaremongering saying if location is disabled the phone cannot be tracked if it's lost.. yeah Google, on yer bike.

Okay. Try restoring this backup instead. I'm 100% sure it'll work because thats my current config and I'm pop up free. It seems to have broken the smart lock feature though. But if you don't mind/use that then you should be fine.

I really don't know. Maybe it was just a minor glitch/bug in the app. It does seem weird though. But if you're interested in getting rid of the pop up then check the post above.
I just disabled preference service. And the popup is gone.

Why do I have Verizon's v90 video app on my Google Pixel?

I just bought the Pixel 2, I got the google edition, not Verizon. However, I am on Verizon's network and before booting up the phone for the first time I put my Verizon SIM in it. Did it just recognize that I'm on Verizon and install the apps? I also have the My Verizon app. I also noticed the device shows up as "Verizon Wireless Pixel 2" when in my list of devices when I'm installing apps from the desktop version of the Play Store.
Thanks!
The label in the google play store always acknowledges your carrier. Mine says T-Mobile Google Pixel 2. And yes, the SIM causes certain Verizon apps to be downloaded. You have nothing to be concerned about. Just check the boot loader unlock option under developer options and if it's available, then you're using the non-locked version from Google.

Question Still no solution for recovering data with samsung cloud on Verizon?

I moved my Z4 to Verizon from T-mobile. A few months later the screen became black and unresponsive. Since I couldn't use the screen to initiate a data swap with SmartSwitch, I tried to restore my settings, home page layout etc. using the samsung cloud backup tool. Apparently that isn't an option on Verizon. I am able to locate the app by searching for it (but it doesn't appear in the app tray) but when I try to open it says it isn't available for this phone. Is anyone aware of a fix or am I just out of luck?
