Folks,
I was trying to clean up my oneplus one yesterday and have accidentally wiped the OS on it. I still have TWRP 3.0.2(I believe the latest installed on it). I imagine to get it rooted and put a custom ROM on it, I would need to first bring it back to stock rom since there is nothing on it now. The issue is when I'm trying to put it fastboot mode the command line "fastboot devices" does not recognize the device so I can't even move forward to the next steps. I have installed the latest version of the SDK tools which has the google driver. Not sure if I am missing something..Would appreciate if someone could please guide me in moving forward.
Much Thanks

Dont worry dude, first
1. Download Rom and put on Flaskdisk
2. Open TWRP
4. Flash the rom on flaskdisk using USB OTG
5. Profit

Or connect your phone to PC. Have phone on twrp and transfer files and flash. I do this usually on every clean flash.

Put device in twrp. Connect device to PC. Window will pop up drag ROM and gapps if there is one to that window. Go to phone and look for the ROM and gapps u put on there and flash like u normally would a ROM. And that's it. Reboot and your done.

Open twrp -> mount -> internal storage -> connect to PC via USB -> copy the ROM -> flash it. It will get you a OS, Then root it by flashing SuperSu. And for fastboot ... Do you have device driver installed? If no check for universal drivers on google.

Thank you for the response. I did put the device in twrp and connected my device to the PC but nothing popped up to drag anywhere? I thought it might be a driver thing but when I did connect my device to the PC(while in twrp) I can hear a sound on the PC which tells me that it does know a device connected, just nothing happens after that?
Anything I'm missing??

I was unlocking the bootloader so i could root the phone. I was successful but now my phone is stuck on the google screen with the unlocked pad at the bottom.
Through the forum i found that i'm missing the boot image so i found that.
I pulled in my phone to the computer and typed "fastboot flash boot test_boot.img". it comes up with "error: cannot load test_boot"
The same thing happened when i tried to "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" aswell to try and fix it that way but the same error came up.
I made sure the file names were correct.
Please help!!

do you have the proper drivers installed? if not, go directly to PdaNets website http://junefabrics.com/android/ and have it install the proper drivers onto your computer. this way is by far the easiest way to install the drivers. download and install the free program then just follow the directions on the screen.

Okay, yeah. I see the problem, your extensions are hidden "recovery.img" is actually "recovery.img.img" so you're fastbooting a invalid file. What I want you to do is on the top left of a Windows explorer, it says Organize. Press that and go to folder options -> view -> hide extensions for known file types (UNCHECK THIS). Rename recovery.img.img so it appears as recovery.img not recovery.img.img
Put your phone in bootloader mode if it isn't already with USB plugged in.
The phone needs to be in bootloader mode in order for it to recognize the fastboot command.

yeah that meant it worked. you can access clockwork menu by going down to RECOVERY in the menu or "adb reboot recovery"
you install a ROM by...
1. Shop around the Dev forums and look for what ROM you want to use. I personally use CM7.
2. Use netarchy's kernel (its worth it).
Steps:
1. Put ROM onto your sdcard
2. Boot into Clockwork Recovery (told you above on how to do it)
3. Wipe Factory, Dalvik, Cache
4. Flash ROM (Proceed to flash CM7 Gapps afterwards if you decide to go with CM7)
5. Flash Kernel (Optional)
6. Reboot!
Ahhh, i updated without looking at your post first. Can i put the kernal on now that ive rebooted?
thank you for your help and time
First of all, all props goes to the OP of this thread. This is merely a step-by-step detailed guide on the process since there were a lot of members complaining that the steps were unclear.
- Download the following and extract all the files:
MT6577 USB VCOM drivers (link: http://www.mediafire.com/?2sf30pboet4qvov)
SP Flash Tool v3.1224.01.rar (link: http://www.mediafire.com/?h68v8yhhtci8h0e)
CWM-ROOT-B92M.zip (link: http://www.mediafire.com/?8o2yx9ssz1abwon)
2.5gb-data-perm-root.zip (link: http://www.mediafire.com/?4wg5f6rgat8qdrt)
- Install the MT6577 USB VCOM drivers drivers
- Inside the 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder make sure the files have the following names (CASE SENSITIVE!):
recovery.img
EBR1.img
boot.img
logo.img
MBR.img
preloader.img
Screenshot:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Turn off your phone and unplugg the USB cable
- Start SP Flash Tool
- Under options in the menubar check "USB mode"
- Under File in the menubar click on "Open scatter-loading file" and select MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt from the CWM-ROOT-B92M folder
- Double click the following rows inside SP Flash Tool:
PRELOADER and select preloader.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
MBR and select MBR.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
EBR1 and select EBR1.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
BOOTIMG and selet boot.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
RECOVERY and select recovery.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
LOGO and select logo.img (from 2.5gb-data-perm-root folder)
You should have the following then:
- Click on "Download" inside SP Flash Tool
- Take out the battery of the phone
- Put the battery in
- Connect USB cable with your computer
- The bar at the bottom of SP Flash tool should go to 100% a few time and present you with a green circle when done
- Done flashing, hit volume up + power to start up CWM and make a backup
I hope this detailed guide helps everyone out

Your best option is to contact the seller and ask him for more information about this.
After flashing with 2.5GB ROM, I have issue with my camera: it detects 80MB partition as the SDcard partition.
Anyone know how to change this? Or.. which file should I look for to change the camera save location?
Make sure you have an external sd-card inserted in the phone. It should automatically be mounted to /sdcard/ where you should have enough space to store your camera photos.

What charger are you using and how fast/slw will it charge a empty battery?
Mine takes for ever (8hrs from 0%), the charger fastcardnet send me, but also a standard usb charger i got.
I'm just using the default micro USB chargers I have laying around. I never charge via a computer (USB) though.

Hi,
I have followed this guide but I didn't get root access.
I also wiped data and did the factory reset but there is no superuser...
What do I have to do now?
And I have another question: What do I need to do to go to the Internet by connecting to my Laptop (in it's function as a Wifi-hotspot) and using his wired-internet-connection? I only got it by Ad-Hoc but it seems that this doesn't work anyway...
Thx,

Try flashing again and Superuser should be working. Once flashed I suggest you start the play store and you'll see that there is an update available.

When I first did the root I did not the su.zip step so I booted my phone and it informed me that my internal SD card is damaged amd asked me if I wanted to format it, I clicked yes and then it became 83 MB, I did the root again and flashed su.zip too, I also tried to format the internal SD card but it is still 83 MB.
I think I need to reformat with specifying the new size, how can I do that?
so i manged something incredible, i managed to format my sdcard in CWM, was ment to click format/system but didnt doubble check and clicked format/sdcard. so now i have no backups and i already wiped everything else so i dont have any system to boot into. was trying ubuntu so not that it would help to much i think.
but now i cant even get the sdcard to show up. i boot up into CWM recovery and go to mount usb storage (mounts and storage/mount USB storage) but nothing comes up on either win7 or osx. in win7 i get an error could not find drivers to install device.
do i need the android SDK to get the drivers? if i just could get a CM10 image or somthing on there it would be good.
btw this is my backup device so im not in a hurry to fix this. was just curious on how ubuntu felt, so tried that and was a little to quick on the trigger when formating.

6 what? That's what's important. You can connect your phone and reflash to an older version using fastboot, such as v5.0.8.2 which is very stable and can mount the USB storage. Then you can transfer a rom to your sd and install it.

That android 1.0 thing is a driver issue. .... Happened to me once when i was setting my adb fastboot folders and drivers again . ..you should really use the pda driver
You will not see the missing driver android 1.0 after ....
And when your drivers are set.... Try a factory image in fastboot...or...my worst case scenario...odin.

As I said you need to flash a previous version of CWM. 6.0.2.5 won't mount your SD card. Nowt hat your phone gets detected properly in device manager, fastboot will see it, so you can flash 5.0.8.2 or 6.0.1.0 to your phone. Then you can mount the SD.
how are you not getting this. the phone is dead, i have no OS on the phone, i managed to wipe everything. OS SD card etc. now i cant get into my SD card when connecting to computer.
doesn't matter if im in fastboot or CWM in fastboot my computer recognizes an android 1.0 device. CWM a nexus s device. but nothing more. cant for the life of me figure out how the hell im supposed to get a firmware on to the phone, if i could get into sd card i could jut do it from CWM but no luck..
exactly how im i supposed to just flash CWM to 5.0.8.2? explain like im 5! remember cant do it from android OS since that doesn't exist on the phone, and cant do it from SD-card since that is a no show.

doesn't matter if im in fastboot or CWM in fastboot my computer recognizes an android 1.0 device.

If you're going to get aggressive I won't go on and help you.
As I wrote: fastboot
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_fastboot_intro#Installing_recovery_using_fastboot
The fact the OS doesn't boot is irrelevant. Instead of downloading the whole Android SDK, you can get fastboot and adb from here:
http://dottech.org/downloads/adb_fastboot_and_other_tools.zip
Turn your phone off. Then hold VOL + and press POWER. Brings you to fastboot menu, where it shows 4 menus and a green Andy in the background

On this screen, you can use fastboot as described in the link above to flash a custom recovery. Your phone needs to be connected via USB, and the drivers installed (PDA.net drivers were for that)
The command is pretty straight forward:
fastboot flash recovery your_recovery_image.img
your_recovery_image.img being the file you want to flash.
Suggested recoveries:
CWM 5.0.8.2 or 6.0.1.0.
So once you're done flashing your recovery, you can reboot, this time to recovery. From there, as mentioned earlier, you can mount your USB storage, transfer a rom, and so forth.
]Hi, Guys, looking for update to Eui Marshmallow 5.8 17s, but unable to do so because of custom rom, root, unlocked bootloader & also don,t want all that hassle to go back to stock rom, recovery etc, just want regular twrp flash, then here we go,
Requrements:
1. Eui 5.8 17s Stock Rom
Link: http://forum.le.com/in/eui_detail.html?euiid=208#
2. Twrp 3.0 & above ( Considering u unlocked bootloader, Rooted, Twrp Installed)
Link: http://bit.ly/2dhyzSQ
3. updater-script
Link: http://bit.ly/2crl1hs
Good practice: Always Backup ur Full Rom in Twrp
Preparing Zip:
1. Now Double click on Downloaded zip & open it, Do not extract
2. Go META-INF/com/google/android
3. Add downloaded Updater-script with winzip option at left top corner, it will replace ur existing script file.
4. Copy Zip file to internal storage
Thats it, ready for flash
Twrp Flashing:
1. boot into recovery using system update menu
2. Wipe everything except internal storage ( or u can also wipe that too)
i kept it because of all data, so it doesnt matter or also u can upgrade on existing rom without wiping anything,
no matter what it will work
3. flash zip, be patient, its big rom, it will take time
4. After Finish, wipe cache / dalvik, reboot, Twrp will show No os installed, ignore it & reboot
5. After reboot, may be or may be not u will find Orange Status, that ur bootloader is unlocked, device canot be trusted, Dont scare, it will reboot.
6. If booting takes lot of time then switch off device by keep pressing power button for 10sec
7. reboot again rom will start optimizing apps
& There u go UR in EUI 5.8 17S Marshmallow
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recommendation: Better Do clean install with all wipes

Thanks

U need to open rom zip file, not script file as zip, double click on zip file it will open, then replace updater script, better use second method for replacing script file.
Bricked!
Hi guys, I tried updated to 17s witout updating TWRP, now it appears that I have bricked my x500. I can't boot into recovery, and my computer isn't detecting my phone, I just get a red charge light. I've looked through the thread about scatter files and so on but can't get my head aound how to use the SP tool, its not working for me anyway. Can anyone link an easy to follow step by step guide or help? It looks like there is a solution but I can't figure it out. Any help would be really, really appreciated!!:

Good tool. Please do make provision to select multiple apps at a time under 'install apk' option. Otherwise it is difficult to select a single app, then waiting it to install and then selecting the next app then waiting and so on...

I was busy for a while and I tested it.
Cannot install apks as bulk (30+ apks) by selecting all. I tried to install 68 apks at time, failed, again tried half of it, failed.
No issues with 20-25 apks.
Please do have a note of it and try to fix it.

No response after selecting the apks. Usually a command window should open, but not in this case. Installing is shown only for a fraction of second and then it disappears and back to "Install selected Apks".
